SPLC targets homosexual conversion therapy group JONAH

God does not change. His Word does not change. No matter how sick and degenerate a society becomes in "celebrating" sinful behavior, sin will always be sin, and unrepentant men will be held accountable to God for their sins against Him. America is in a spiritually dangerous place. Today, sin is defended as "choice" when women choose to kill their pre-born babies, and sinful behavior is lauded as just another alternative lifestyle when homosexuality is paraded as "normal." This kind of spiritual blindness will only lead to destruction for a nation that embraces sin.

The militant homosexual movement is marching across our land with a fever not seen in our nation's history. Religious liberty and freedom of speech are being forced to stand down in the face of the homo-fascists who demand their bad behavior be given legitimacy in the public square.

One of the latest battle fronts in the homosexual war against God, morality, truth and the freedoms of the American people is in the area of therapy to help people combat unwanted same-sex attraction. This year, California, a state that is run by hardcore leftists, outlawed homosexual conversion therapy for people under 18. This is an absurd affront to the freedom of parents and their kids to seek help when their teen is struggling with the undesired lure of homosexual sin.

This is also part of a broader effort to redefine the perversion of homosexuality by insisting that homosexuals cannot change, and therapy aimed at helping them escape that dead-end lifestyle is "harmful." If homosexuals cannot change, then that "must" mean homosexuality is innate, and that is why leftists are so desperate to outlaw and disparage any efforts to help those caught up the sin of homosexuality to be free from it.

The latest assault in this depraved war on our freedoms comes from our detestable buddies at the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), those fine, furry friends who devote their existence to stamping out God's presence in our nation, and to obliterating Christian liberty, truth, morality and the American apple pie way of life. This time they have turned their legal cannons on Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing (JONAH).

On Tuesday, the SPLC filed suit in New Jersey Superior Court claiming that JONAH's leaders violated New Jersey's Consumer Fraud Act by claiming to offer a cure for homosexuality with conversion therapy. The SPLC recruited four young men and their parents to be the plaintiffs.

In part, the SPLC claims,

Customers of JONAH's services typically paid a minimum of $100 for weekly individual counseling sessions and another $60 for group therapy sessions. The lawsuit describes sessions that involved clients undressing in front of a mirror and even a group session where young men were instructed to remove their clothing and stand naked in a circle with the counselor, Downing, who was also undressed. Another session involved a subject attempting to wrestle away two oranges — used to represent testicles — from another individual.

If these claims about JONAH's methods are true, then it appears the SPLC has done its homework in finding one of the more "unconventional" therapy groups. Yet, this is part of the SPLC's self-proclaimed campaign to end conversion therapy. This is not about JONAH's methods, however unusual they may be. Nor is it about consumers being defrauded. It is about the nationwide effort of the Left to create mainstream legitimacy for the sin of homosexuality. In doing so, they must discredit the groups that offer help out of the bondage of homosexuality. They must create an atmosphere of public and legal hostility toward those who insist homosexuality is a sin from which you can indeed be free.

These homosexual militants and their supporters already have the backing of the American Psychological and Psychiatric Associations and other "authorities" on mental "health" that claim homosexual reparative therapies are quackery at best and dangerously abusive at worst.

As if in tandem with the SPLC's Tuesday lawsuit, on Wednesday a House Democrat loon from California, Jackie Speier, introduced a bill in Washington attacking homosexual conversion therapy. She titled the bill the "Stop Harming Our Kids Resolution," and in part, it claims,

Expressing the sense of Congress efforts by mental health practitioners to change an individual's sexual orientation and gender identity or expression are dangerous and harmful and should be prohibited from being practiced on minors.

Whereas being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or gender nonconforming is not a disorder, disease, illness, deficiency, or shortcoming...

It gets worse from there.

These pushers of the homo-fascist agenda are going full-bore in their desperation to convince the world that homosexuality is not the unnatural, unhealthy and immoral behavior that it is. They turn truth upside-down in doing this. They claim that conversion therapy is "harmful" to young people and that homosexuality in all its various manifestations is not the sinful behavior it is and always will be. They viciously attack those who offer help and hope to people struggling with unwanted same-sex attraction.

These people are liars and fully deceived. The truth is that God has commanded us to be free from sin, and He gives us the power to escape it through His Son Jesus with His Holy Spirit living in us. This does not mean that we will not struggle with sin and "slip up" throughout our lives, because we invariably do, but we are no longer slaves to sin, as those without the Lord's Spirit are. Homosexual sin is a powerful bondage, and getting free of it is almost impossible without God's help, but there is no sin under the sun that we cannot escape with His aid. There are many former homosexuals who can attest to this fact.

My position on homosexual conversion therapy is about the same as it is on other types of therapy. I know that ultimately it is not man who can change us. Real conversion comes from the Spirit of God working in us when we accept Him. All the therapy in the world will be futile if the person seeking help does not have a true interest in changing, and without God's help, it is not possible to overcome the chains of sin. While I choose to turn to the Lord rather than therapy for dealing with life's problems, there are those who do choose the therapy route. This wicked assault on groups that offer therapy to people struggling with unwanted same-sex attraction is just one more nefarious front in the fierce battle for the soul of our nation.

This battle is only going to grow more insane, and the soldiers of sin more tyrannical, as the end of days draws near. Not that we will ever stop fighting, but I do not doubt that we are destined to lose our freedoms to the forces of Hell that are running the show in this world. I believe this because I've read the Bible, and I know how the story goes. In the end, the Lord and His people win (because Jesus has already won the war against sin and death at the cross), but until He returns, it's going to be rough going. Let us continue to stand firmly on the side of truth.
