By now, many state residents in California realize that our state is one of the highest taxed states in the U.S. While we have recently been loosing local residents at a historical rate to other states, there are many who will not connect this to our state’s ruling party: California Democrats.
Democrats essentially have virtually controlled our state for close to 30+ years. Local residents in our state should realize that very liberal members of that political party continue to control all three branches of our state government based in our capital in the city of Sacramento. They should realize that this liberal party has created an environment of high taxation (notably our high gasoline tax, capital gains tax, state income taxes (with a high point of 13.3%), liquor tax, and sales tax (with a high city rate of 10.75 %). Each city and county has their own sales tax rates (which vary).
Our state has also heavily restricted oil companies from drilling in our state even though our state has the largest oil reserves in the country. Liberals have also restricted the creation of desalination plants in our state even though our large population needs more water. It’s time for sensible people to realize their vote counts so we can make a change to a more sensible state government.
