Has America finally sealed her fate? (Part Three)

Have we sealed our fate? Yes and no. We are already at the edge of the proverbial cliff. One more "crisis" might push us over. Of this we should be mindful because presidential bud and advisor, Rahm Emanuel, has taught Mr. Obama how to manipulate even dire crises to sell his cause of the week.

Until November, many of us will be holding our collective breath to see if Americans will finally wake up. If we allow the current administration to stay in power, and do nothing to send a majority of Constitutional Conservatives to Congress, then again the answer is yes. If we kick a bunch of the bums out, and have enough serious, responsible people who are willing to serve the American people, then no, we aren't doomed — yet.

As we previously discussed, the national debt is growing daily. The current and future burden on all taxpayers is unsustainable. And folks, if we really listen to a chicken-in-every-pot, free-college-for-every-child Obama, it sounds like he is getting ready to forgive all college loans. First, he plants the student loan takeover in AbominationCare, and then talks to college audiences about having to double the interest on their loans (a crisis) if the Party of No doesn't bow to his whims. Since it is an election year, and his handlers have to know Americans are pretty peeved right now, to put it nicely, then the next logical step for him is to give-away more "stuff." And poof, all student loans are forgiven. Of course, all these grateful students will then vote for him.

America has gigantic problems in many areas. Remember, Bill Clinton's campaign slogan was, "It's the economy, stupid." Yesterday, after winning five primary races, Mitt Romney proclaimed, "It's still about the economy, and we're not stupid." Yea, Mitt!

Unlike the current occupant of the White House, Mitt Romney actually has leadership and management experience. Mitt Romney is a successful businessman, and was governor of Massachusetts. These skills are needed to undo the financial mess we must deal with before our nation is brought to her knees.

Mitt has many ideas he won't be able to implement until, and when, he is elected. But any of us who have run our own small business know this is when we, as a nation, must immediately stop ALL unnecessary spending. We then begin laying-off people so we can meet our budget — or least "keep the doors open."

We start with Congress. Since our senators and congressmen spend a lot of time on the taxpayer's (employer's ) dime campaigning for office, let's "cut their hours" and pay by say, 25 percent. This gives them time to campaign to their heart's content, and We the People don't have to pay for it. This allows them to get a temporary job in the private sector, if they wish. And furthermore, they can learn about how ordinary people live under the freedom-destroying laws they pass. Hey, since Libs like to scream about fairness, let Congress suffer with the rest of America. It's only fair.

All administrative positions should be cut as well. We can choose to reduce all hours and pay by 25 percent, or lay-off ten percent. In National Suicide: How Washington is Destroying the American Dream from A to Z, author and investigative reporter Martin Gross recommends cutting 20 percent. Hey, serious times call for serious measures. And yes, America will not only survive a reduction in government, it will thrive.

Then we need to do "job reviews." We need to know what individual lawmakers have done so we can "fire" poor performers. If these people don't meet our standards, then we simply "hire" (elect) someone new. Remember, America is teetering on the edge of an economic cliff. Liberals, and yes, many Republicans, have been slowly steering us to this cliff for years. With Obama and gang, we have reached the cliff's edge at frightening speed. Now, the only people who can save us are those who believe in the Constitution, smaller government, lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, and the preservation of liberty and personal freedom. If they can "do the job," we keep them. Otherwise, we should bid them farewell.

Funny, many Democrats are backing-away from the President and his policies because they see the proverbial writing on the wall. (Upcoming job reviews.) Some of these folks will say anything to stay in office, but we must stay focused on their past job performance. In business, when an employee doesn't or can't do the job, they are fired. Plain and simple.

Current and future elected officials must cut ALL government spending by at least ten percent. Future lawmakers need to cut all programs except defense by ten percent. Why not cut defense? Because the government's main duty is to protect America from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.

It is basic economics, and how normal businesses must operate. The same principles are how we run our households. Most stay-at-home moms and housewives Liberals so despise know more about managing budgets than our current administration.

In our homes, we don't buy steak when we only have enough money for sale hamburger, and then go out for Dairy Queen treats for everyone afterward. But this is what our federal government does on a daily basis, and they then take trips, vacations, and gambling junkets, and throw party-like-there's-no-tomorrow parties. Mind you, our federal government is in almost $16 trillion of debt. It can't even afford a bag of dried beans they must cook and then re-heat to eat for a week. Yeah, been there, ate that! How about voting for a few former "bean-eaters" for public office?

While we can't do it under the current administration, or probably with most of the current Congress, the tax system must be eliminated. Obama-the-Enforcer wants to make the IRS bigger and more powerful. But the current system simply does not work. Flat Tax and Fair Tax systems have been suggested by numerous economists and politicians to replace it. Forbes.com states that "flat tax limits political discretion, making it harder for government to single-out 'the rich' for special treatment." Fair tax is more like a national sales tax, in which absolutely everybody would be contributing something, based on what they consume. According to the National Taxpayers Union, Fair Tax ensures that all Americans pay their fair share of taxes. The IRS currently admits to a 25 percent non-compliance rate with the Tax Code, often done unintentionally. By placing the tax at the point of sale, no individual or special interest group could evade taxes with the help of an expensive tax attorney or well-heeled lobbyist. "

Under Fair tax, even drug dealers, prostitutes, the Mafia, illegal immigrants, and the everyday garden variety of tax evader would all pay their fair share. One last point...There are many recipients of government handouts, particularly those on SSI (disability) who have sideline activities netting them unreported, untaxed income. But with the Fair Tax, these defrauders would be taxed with the rest of us. As Senator Dan Coates says, "everyone needs to have some skin in the game." Fair Tax is the only way that EVERYONE will be paying part of the bill for living in this great nation. Now THAT is what we should call fair.

Folks, what I've suggested are known as concepts, ideas, and suggestions. Our great nation, as we know it, is in deep, deep trouble. We need solutions to these problems. To date, federal government officials have gotten increasingly involved in micromanaging American's lives. Putting it bluntly, they are "sticking their noses where they don't belong." Further, they spend the "people's money" on things the people don't want, somehow never hearing our protests. These elected officials who are supposed to be our servants treat We the People as though we are their slaves and beholden to them. They want and need more power, but the more powerful they become, the less "liberty" we enjoy. So yes, many of us are calling for drastic change. We must insist, and insist, and insist on it. And if our elected officials don't begin acting within constitutional dictates, we need to keep voting them out of office (firing them) until they understand we mean business.

So are we living in the final days of life in the United States of America? Or will Americans wake-up and wrest control over our wallets and lives, therefore preparing the way for a bright future? We the People hold all the keys. Do we have the guts to use them? To anyone willing to hear....
