The war on God goes to the bathroom

Girls will be boys and boys will be girls / It's a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world.... – "Lola" by Ray Davies
People say that God has a sense of humor. But we shouldn't assume that the Almighty laughs at the same things we do. After all, it's not as if He's waiting in suspense for the punch line of a joke. From what we can glean from Scripture, God's laughter is at least sometimes prompted by humans making ourselves ridiculous by shaking our tiny fists at omnipotence.
He who sits in the heavens laughs.
Make no mistake: the Bathroom War going on now in our culture is rooted in defiance of God. Jesus said, He who created them from the beginning made them male and female. (Matthew 19:4b, NAS95) Barbarians hate that. There's no other reason for pretending to be confused as to one of the most obvious facts about yourself. As someone said, "If you're confused about your gender, look in your underwear."
Now, there is a tiny fraction-of-a-percentage of people who suffer from one of several medical issues, for whom the underwear test would not work. We can sympathize with them, we can try to help them, but we cannot pretend that they typify the "transgendered" in the Bathroom War, and we cannot re-plumb the commodewealth for their sakes.
In Episode 1 of this tragic comedy, man rejects God. God then allows man to try his best to become his own god, and, as they say in the promos, "hijinks ensue." The would-be god doesn't become God, of course. But he finds to his surprise that he has lost his humanity in the attempt. He starts denying that he even has a spirit. He demands "rights" and uses words like "good" and "just" as if he were a moral agent, while simultaneously insisting that he is just a parrot with thumbs.
But the farce isn't over yet. Not only does the god-wannabe fail to become God and fall from humanity, in extreme cases he descends to the sub-animal level. Really, what male gorilla or dolphin or even parrot insists that he is a female because he "identifies" as another "gender?" Your sex is determined not by your genitalia or by your DNA, but by your imagination?
As Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz asked regarding the boys-in-the-girl's-room issue, "Have we gone stark, raving nuts?" Yes, Senator, that is exactly what has happened – just as the first chapter of Romans and other Bible passages explain. Large-scale rejection of God leads to the loss of our ability to reason, but the fight against Him goes on, literally mindlessly.
The movement to switch and blur "genders" is a pathetic form of rebellion against reality, and against the God of reality. Real people, mostly women, will be hurt by this insanity, and that isn't funny at all. We might suppose that, in the end, our desire for collective self-preservation would bring a stop to this nonsense. But I wouldn't bet on it. Businesses may attempt to solve the "problem" by building a third restroom. When that doesn't work, each stall will have to be housed in its own secure room. This will cost the store a lot of money and increase the cost of goods, thereby decreasing our standard of living. We will be back to the "privy." And paying more to live worse.
Funny how "progressive" ideas always end up erasing the gains of civilization.
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:27) I infer that our maleness and femaleness reflect different and complementary aspects of the divine nature. To deny the gift of the sexual duality of humanity is in some sense to declare God deformed. To use their words, the barbarians are "judging," "bullying," and "shaming" God. Let us know how that goes! Oh, that's right; we're watching the show now. And if ever a program could be called "outrageously funny," this is it.
Too bad the joke is on us.
