Caught red-handed: CBS reporters' scheme to undermine Republican Joe Miller
FacebookTwitter

In a case of JournoList redux, mainstream media reporters have again shown that their business is propaganda, not news. In a shocking voicemail accidentally left on the cell phone of Alaska GOP senatorial candidate Joe Miller's spokesman, Randy DeSoto, journalists can be heard scheming to manufacture stories for the purposes of undermining the Republican's campaign. Reporting on the story, WorldNetDaily's Aaron Klein writes:

the journalists can be heard plotting to "find" a "child molester" among the politician's supporters.

The reporters are also overheard hoping for violence against Miller so they can "send out a tweet" and Facebook alert that "Miller got punched" at a rally he held four days ago.

DeSoto says the voicemail message was later authenticated by McDermott [CBS Anchorage affiliate assignment editor Nick McDermott] himself, who sent a text to the Miller spokesman stating, "D — iPhone ... I left you a long message. I thought I hung up. Sorry."

Well, he's sorry he got caught, anyway. But what he should be is ashamed. In the audio, which is found here, a female journalista can be heard plotting to find a sex offender among Miller supporters and saying, "That's up to you because you're the expert, but that's what I would do.... I'd wait and see who showed up because that indicates we already know something."

In other words, they want to fool the public into thinking that they are just responding to a legitimate news tip as opposed to what they're actually doing: trying to manufacture dirt on a candidate out of thin air — one day before the election.

One of the reporters is then heard giggling gleefully, which is followed by the female journalista excitedly exclaiming "child molesters!" as if she had experienced an epiphany. A male journalista then requests, "Can you repeat Joe Miller's...uh...list of people, campaign workers — which one's the molester?" And while his female colleague's response is a bit garbled, the gist is clear: "You know out of all the people... [garbled portion's meaning, 'who show up on site']... one of them will be a registered sex offender."

Translation: At any large gathering, probability dictates that one person will be a registered sex offender. So we're going to find such an individual at the Miller event and then tarnish the Republican with guilt by association. Maybe we can even imply that he has no problem associating with "child molesters."

Chock full of good ideas, the female journalista wasn't done yet. She then eagerly suggested, "And the one thing we can do is...we won't know...we won't know...if there's any sort of chaos whatsoever, we can put out a Twitter and Facebook alert saying... 'Hey, Joe Miller punched at rally!' Kinda like Rand Paul — I like that. That's a good one."

And you're a bad one, hon.

By rights, every one of these "reporters" should be fired; they are guilty of gross journalistic misconduct. But I won't be any more surprised when that doesn't happen than I am by the behavior itself, as it is all par for the course for the Shill Media. After all, the Alaskan CBS affiliate was caught red-handed, but, in a different sense, the media are always red-handed. That is to say, this case is simply a rare instance in which they got caught doing what they always do: peddling lies for the purposes of destroying political opponents, Soviet style. These journalistas are, quite simply, evil.
