Obama's "status quo" has become the status quo

In his weekly radio address this week, the Obama child again accused health insurance companies of "dishonest and misleading advertising" because they disagree with his policies on healthcare and presented a study to dispute them. Obama angrily and emphatically insisted "We have only just begun" (to cram socialized healthcare down American throats).

In fact it is Obama who has engaged in "dishonest and misleading advertising" from the beginning of his administration. Most everything he has told the American people has been a lie or based on a false pretense.

Did you know that profits from those "greedy" health insurance companies, paid to the stockholders, amount to only about 3.2%? This is considerably lower (about half to one third) than the average of other industries. The rest of the money goes to pay their enormous costs — reasonable solutions to which Obama and congress refuse to consider.

In Obama's view, any profit from our capitalist system is evil and must be stamped out by the government and replaced with a socialist system. Obama has consistently lied about his intentions and motives, and tried to hide his true agenda which is not supportive of the American way of life or the country as a whole. He has traveled the globe smearing our country and apologizing for its behavior and heritage.

He is not working for the American people, but rather for the global socialists and communist cabals who want to rule the world with a "one world government" at the expense of America and the American people. Mr. "Citizen of the World" now has his big chance for "change."

The question every American now needs to ask themselves is this: Do you want to be a citizen of the world, or a citizen of America? I, for one, do not want to surrender my American freedom and citizenship, and our national sovereignty, to become a subject of global socialism under the dictates of the United Nations or any other third world dictatorship. Yet this is the choice we now face.

Obama consistently uses the phrase "status quo" to reference anything he disagrees with. He has used it regularly to describe Republicans in congress. He used it to describe the free market on Wall Street. He used it to describe the auto industry. Currently, the "status quo" now means private insurance providers. "Status quo" is the Obama code word for the American private sector free market that he wants to destroy.

There is no question that Obama is way over-exposed with all of his relentless TV appearances, campaigning, speeches, and events. Clearly, this is not in the presidential job description. The president is supposed to attend to executive duties and has a press secretary, "Baghdad Bob" Gibbs, to be his spokesman. Obama just cannot stop abusing the office of POTUS and let go of the campaign trail with all of its glitter and cameras, but it does have its bright side.

When we see catch phrases like "the status quo" being used and over to apply to most anything that Obama wants to change, people become more aware of his scripted lines and realize that that is all just phony rhetoric meant to demonize hard working people and capitalism in general.

When he has nothing new to offer but keeps repeating the same old worn out verses with increasing anger and frustration, it becomes clear that he is nothing but a worn out mouthpiece with nothing on his plate short of government slavery and dependence for those who drink his Kool-Aid.

Obama wants to put a bad taste in everyone's mouth about American capitalism by using this phrase, but it is becoming more apparent that it is nothing more than poison spewing from Obama's mouth. In his view, the Constitution and the free market are nothing more than the "status quo" that need to be changed.

Obama told his congressional cronies to have a healthcare bill on his desk before the August recess. That didn't happen. Then he told them to have it done by Thanksgiving. That isn't happening. So now he has given them a deadline of the end of the year. Hopefully, that won't happen either.

The bright side of this is that it's keeping congress busy with a failed issue and prevents them working on other damaging legislation. But in Obama's mind, failure is not an option; it's a way of life.

Charles Krauthammer recently pointed out yet another broken promise by this administration and congress — in addition to the lie of an "open and transparent congress," and putting all legislation online five days before the vote: the five day congressional work week which is still only three days. Krauthammer suggests they change that to a "one day work week," or better yet, "a one hour work week" to reduce the damage they are doing to our economy and our country.

The country would be much better off if we just sent this congress home for the rest of their term in office. Every day in session is another chance to do more damage. Send Obama's czars home and there will be no one left in the Oval Office. And that would be good for the country.

This government is trying to create a "one size fits all" healthcare plan to be run by them. You can't do that with healthcare because everyone doesn't have the same healthcare needs. There has to be a wide variety of private market health insurance options to meet the needs of Americans.

What is going to happen when the Obama administration takes over the clothing industry? Are they going to offer just one size and style of clothing? Where have we seen this before? Obamacare isn't about healthcare at all. It is about increasing government power and control over our lives, just as Cap and Trade is. It is communism.

If you agree with Obama and don't like the way health insurance companies operate, under the American system that has existed for over 230 years, you have the freedom to start up your own insurance company and run it the way you want to in competition with those "evil" insurance companies. Go ahead and do it and see who goes out of business first. Under the Obama plan, you won't have that free market choice or opportunity — no one will.

Some people insist that healthcare is a "right," although there is no mention of it in the Constitution. A right is a guarantee of a liberty. It is not a guarantee that the government or the taxpayers are going to provide you with it.

When it comes to healthcare, you have the right to provide for yourself whatever health insurance you think you need under the free market system. But don't expect your neighbors to pay for it because they have their rights too, and their responsibilities to their own families. They are not responsible for you or yours.

Did you know that all of this huge deficit spending and tripling of the national debt is Bush's fault? This is what we are being told by Democrats because Bush started it with the $787 billion TARP bailouts.

If TARP was such an evil sin, why then haven't Obama and his cronies in congress attempted to correct it instead of multiplying it into the trillions of dollars? Why haven't they made any effort to reduce federal spending, instead of dramatically increasing it?

I agree that TARP was a mistake and should never have been done. The way I see it, Bush was merely setting the table for Obama to take our country down the path to socialism because the Bush family is a part of the global socialist cabal.

Bush was responsible for massive government growth and getting its tentacles into places it did not belong — like education with "No Child Left Behind," and Wall Street with TARP.

Bush regularly worked with the worst socialists in congress, like Ted Kennedy, to produce legislation on healthcare, immigration, and education, all at the expense of Republican voters and taxpayers. Bush started this on the advice of Democrat, Henry Paulson. Obama is determined to finish it with the nationalization of America.

But Bush cannot be blamed for the outrageous spending by this congress and imitation president. By trying to blame it on Bush, they are admitting it is wrong, while showing their obscene hypocrisy by expanding it rather than reversing it. This is absolutely absurd and totally illogical.

Sen. Joe Wilson was right on the mark when he called Obama a liar, because Obama has not told the truth about anything since he took office. The truth is that Obama intends to "change" the way the country works, not the way the government works, which was what he campaigned on. He intends to "fundamentally transform" the country from its capitalist system, and the only option to capitalism is socialism and communism.

Instead of fighting against socialism and communism as people in this country have done for more than 300 years, Obama now wants to surrender to, and join with, the global socialists and communists. America has always been an exceptional country because of our capitalist, free market system. That will all come to an end if Obama is allowed to have his way.

Obama should concern himself more with the "status quo" of this corrupt and unconstitutional government, and less with the constitutional free market. The American people must continue to stand up to this communist takeover of our country and complete Obama's radio address statement for him with "We have only begun to fail."
