A FRIEND lent me a book entitled "The Most Brilliant Thoughts of All Time (In Two Lines or Less)" edited by John M. Shanahan, 1999. SO — here are some of the Most Brilliant Thoughts bearing on the subjects of envy, government power, and the History of the World:
