Last year, Israel's abortion policy was revised so that abortions are allowed for all nine months of pregnancy for any reason. Whatever restrictions and minimal requirements that were in place to curtail abortions are gone. Israel's Health Minister, Nitzan Horowitz, pushed for this change in policy after the Dobbs decision here in the U.S., and the new so-called "reforms" will make it even easier for Israeli women to kill their unborn children. Pregnant women will no longer be required to appear before the committees, and approvals can be done electronically. Chemical abortion drugs will be easily accessible, and pregnant women will not have to go to hospitals to have abortions. More Jewish unborn children will be killed.
Hamas has one goal, and that is to decimate Israel and slaughter every Jewish man, woman, and child, no matter where they live. They train their children to be suicide bombers, and they intentionally use civilians as human shields during IDF strikes. Their mantra "From the river to the sea" extends to the entire earth. It is not clear how many Americans were murdered on and since October 7th, but it numbers in the dozens. And you can bet that Hamas and their Islamic terrorist allies are celebrating all these deaths. When they are finished with the Jews, Christians will be next.
In Gaza, where Hamas is the governing body, abortion is restricted and only allowed to save the mother's life. A woman's husband must give written approval for the abortion to be committed (and it is only allowed in the rarest circumstances). Also in Gaza, homosexuality is not tolerated, let alone accepted. In the view of these radical terrorists, abortion and homosexuality violate their religion.
But in America, abortion supporters are aligning themselves with Palestinians, despite the fact that in Gaza abortions are illegal in most circumstances. No less bizarre are "Queers for Palestine" who protest in defense of the Palestinian terrorists and against Israel. If gays were sent to Gaza, they would likely be jailed or killed. So they are demonstrating against their own interests.
Whenever Israel abandoned the Torah and disobeyed G-d's laws in favor of their own selfish desires, the Jewish people paid a terrible price. That was true in ancient times when Israelites worshiped Moloch, and it is true today. Abortion is a violation of G-d's law. Deuteronomy 30:19 is clear: Choose life so that you and your offspring may live. Today, Israel is demonstrating with their radical abortion policies that they are choosing death over life and adding to the devastating death toll inflicted upon them by the deranged terrorists. By expanding abortion, Israel is demonstrating against their own interests.
Statistics vary, but according to one source, there were 17,548 abortions in Israel in 2021. Another more recent source indicates the number is much higher, with approximately 40–50,000 annual abortions in Israel and up to two million abortions since 1948. These tragic numbers include Jewish lives that were taken mostly for convenience, Jewish souls lost that should be with us today. In recent years, Israel's abortion rate had gone down. But relaxing the laws will lead to more abortions and the Jewish Israeli population may decline. A decline in the Jewish population will imperil Israel's security.
This is no way meant to diminish the devastating loss of life due to the horrible actions of Hamas fanatics who will never accept a peace treaty or allow Israelis to coexist and live in peace. But you can't say on the one hand that you are grieving the loss of the Jewish people in an unjust war and then support an unjust policy where the consequences are millions of dead Jews.
We must draw a distinction though, between abortion "rights" and the heinous crimes committed by Islamic terrorist regimes. Planned Parenthood supports killing as many babies as possible for profits, regardless of the mother's religion. Hamas targets their Jewish victims for their religion, based upon sheer hatred of Jews, and upon their own perverted religious ideology.
In Israel – as in America and in every nation – abortion should be illegal except for the rare exception to save the mother's life. Killing innocent human beings is never civilized at any stage of life.
