America, Canada and Mexico: headed for a payday?

Up till now it was hard to pull off anything in the brave new world of today's "tolerance and diversity" that could outshine what is done in America. Canada has recently stepped up to the plate with a judicial ruling that topples any extravagance the U.S. has produced so far.

Canadian Judge Joanne Viet freed a 19 year old that strangled her newborn baby and threw its body into her neighbor's backyard. Judge Viet said that Canadians, "Understand, accept and sympathize with the onerous demands pregnancy and childbirth exact from mothers, especially mothers without support. Naturally, Canadians are grieved by an infant's death, especially at the hands of the infant's mother, but Canadians also grieve for the mother" I can't answer for anyone in Canada but I would bet that is not what most Canadians are feeling.

In a tiny community 200 miles south of San Antonio Texas a cache of weapons that included rocket launchers and explosives was found along a quiet stretch of the Rio Grande. Protecting the need to smoke pot and have plenty of strips of cocaine at parties and clubs in America is apparently very important to the drug cartels that now have a plethora of the best military hardware available today. Those who insist smoking pot is harmless now have rocket launchers in the fray to prove their point.

We could skip over the fact that children were allowed to see the sexual emphasis and paraphernalia at the last gay parade in San Diego or that public nudity is perfectly OK in San Francisco and move right up to the glorious accomplishments of the Obama's administrations repeal of "don't ask don't tell" (DADT) in the military. Today's celebration of the repeal in several major cities was accompanied with speeches and handclapping. Words like, patriotism, service to country and "at last," laced the ceremonies and jubilation ensued. No one is willing to talk about the kinds of men and women, who will now, not enlist into the military, but only that their own kind can now sign up without fear or problems of any kind.

Talk of our ailing economy goes on at any day of the week just about 24 hours a day. Experts, analysts, politicians and pundits weigh in and almost no one of any stature has yet once admitted that the bad economy might just possibly be connected to our rising immorality and our new almost bottomless penchant for everything filthy, immoral and sleazy.

Regardless of who wins the 2012 presidential race the damage may already be too far advanced to change anything. The next president would have to start with the repeal of Obamacare and then move on to reinstating DADT before tackling the effects of the gay agenda's highly questionable advancements just to get to neutral territory, or what would be better described as, pre-Obama America. What they might accomplish after that, would be limited if after all, the economy collapses.

All is not as dismal at it seems because just in time, Joel Osteen is about to release his latest book on how to be happier seven days a week. We will need it even if it is just more of the American perception of positive thinking on steroids. Honestly, is just a bit more happiness what America really needs at this moment in time? Let's see.

Bobby McFerrin's rhythmic song, Don't worry be happy may be the catchphrase we have incorporated into our national psyche for the moment, but it is another's catchphrase that will finally catch up to us and bite us on the posterior. In February of 1919 Dr. R. G. Lee preached a sermon that is heralded as one of the most important of the century. It was entitled "Payday Someday" and before his death in 1978 Dr. Lee preached this sermon to huge crowds well over one thousand times.

The theme of his sermon is the present theme of any preacher, prophet, pastor or messenger in our nation who has not fallen prey to the ravages of the new tolerance and diversity doctrines of the most degenerate generation in world history. Sin will never be tolerated in God's economy and that is why he is allowing our economy to crash. Diversity can never be allowed to make room for perversity and that too is why our economic woes have begun and will not end well.

Technology, science, new presidents, days of more happiness and wishful thinking cannot defer the coming days of judgment. In fact they can only assure that the day is approaching now at breakneck speed. The heart and fallen condition of man has never changed and technology and all else nascent and shining with promise, cannot change the outcome of a sinful nation that will not listen to its God given voices.

From Thomas Jefferson who said "I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever" to The angels of the living God who will soon be sent to make another declaration, "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters." (Revelation 14: 6, 7)

A payday for evil behavior brings angels to bear upon those who neither believe in God or angels but for those who trust the God of the angels we will wait until the payday has passed and the wages of sin have been paid. It is our hope and practice as conveyed in the familiar line from John Newman's famous hymn "Lead Kindly Light."

So long Thy power hath blest me, sure it still will lead me on.
O'er moor and fen, o'er crag and torrent, till the night is gone,
And with the morn those angel faces smile, which I
Have loved long since, and lost awhile!
