DEBRA HEINE — Federal prosecutors have finally filed a criminal charge against prominent January 6 protester Ray Epps. Epps, a former Oath Keepers member from Arizona, was charged with a single misdemeanor count of disruptive or disorderly conduct in a restricted area in U.S. District Court in Washington on Tuesday, despite his lead role in orchestrating chaos on that day. The charge carries a maximum punishment of a year in prison.... (more)

NEWSMAX — The House will be sending out several subpoenas now that it has announced an impeachment inquiry, and now, "we're all waiting to see" if they'll be enforced by the courts, one former acting atorney general, Matthew Whitaker, said on Newsmax Sunday. "What is going to happen now is they're going to develop the evidence and figure out how they can possibly file articles of impeachment against Joe Biden," Whitaker commented during Newsmax's "Wake Up America." "I think the most interesting thing is there's going to be a lot of subpoenas going out from the House now, and they're going to have the stamp of an impeachment inquiry."... (more)

NEWSMAX — Public schools across the country are approaching a “make or break moment,” Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona told Politico on Sunday. Cardona and other Democrats told the news outlet that public schools are facing a widespread crisis over the increased popularity of private schools and homeschooling in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Urban Institute found that enrollment in public K-12 schools dropped by over 1.2 million students during the first two school years of the pandemic, while enrollment at private schools rose particularly among kindergarten students and those in early grades of elementary school.... JERRY NEWCOMBE — September 17th each year marks the historic moment in “the year of our Lord 1787” when the Constitution was signed in Philadelphia. This was a great milestone in world history. More of the constitutions around the world have been patterned after our nation’s governing document than any other frame of government. But today the Constitution seems to not be appreciated by many in our culture, including in academia, in the media, in entertainment, even in our government.... (more)

FOX NEWS — House Speaker Kevin McCarthy set social media ablaze on Thursday after he pushed back against a reporter’s assertion that he launched an impeachment inquiry "without evidence." "AP reported that McCarthy's impeachment inquiry was launched ‘without evidence,’" GOP operative Arthur Schwartz posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday. "Here’s McCarthy forcing an AP reporter to admit that there was lots of evidence to support an impeachment inquiry."... (more)

THE FEDERALIST — California has gone to great lengths in recent months to punish the people and institutions who want to protect children from the dangers of radical gender ideology. Chino Valley Unified School District, the school system responsible for nearly 27,000 students in San Bernardino County, is just one of the institutions facing a state-led attack because it chose to prioritize the safety of its students and their families over the political agenda of California Democrats.... WORLDNETDAILY — A criminology professor who "proved" racism in America and whose work was cited thousands of times now has been fired – for fakery. A report at the Post-Millennial explains Eric Stewart was informed of his termination by Florida State University Provost James J. Clark, who said, "The damage to the standing of the university and, in particular, the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice and its faculty approaches the catastrophic and may be unalterable."... ALLEN WEST — Today is the 22nd remembrance of our modern-day Pearl Harbor, our "date which will live in infamy." It was on this day, September 11, 2001, that I was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina on an exchange assignment with the II Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters. We had just finished morning physical training (PT) and I was dressing in my office after personal hygiene. I got a call from my counterpart at Marina Forces, Atlantic (MARFORLANT) that something had just happened in New York, and I needed to get to the Current Operations Center (COC).... (more)

TOWNHALL — As a new strain of COVID-19 comes back just in time for the 2024 presidential election, the Biden White House is recommending that Americans get boosted. However, one top medical advisor is urging people not to get the updated vaccine. Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo argued against the new vaccine the Food and Drug Administration is planning to roll out, designed to protect against the BA.2.86 omicron subvariant. "There’s a new vaccine that’s coming around the corner, a new mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, and there’s essentially no evidence for it," Ladapo said this week.... (more)

NEWSMAX — A federal appeals court ruled that the Biden administration likely violated Americans' First Amendment rights when it worked to censor speech during the COVID-19 pandemic. BOB UNRUH — A video has appeared online that shows what happened when a school board, faced with a request for permission to pray for children in the schools, shut it down. MIRANDA DEVINE — Here we go again. First, Anthony Fauci pokes his head up to claim, against all evidence, that masks do stop COVID-19 after all. Then, right on cue, the White House announces that Fauci’s No. 1 fan, President Biden, will be “masking indoors” after the double-vaccinated, twice-boosted first lady contracted the virus for the third time in 13 months.... THE PEOPLE'S VOICE — In the early 2000s, there was a string of execution style murders in a large Midwestern city. The cases were never “solved.” At the time, the media reported that the police had no suspects and the victims were all gay black men. They were mostly middle-class professionals, some of them with a wife and children at home.... (more)

WORLDNETDAILY — Former Republican Jennifer Rubin wrote an opinion piece for The Washington Post last week criticizing Trump attorney John Eastman's defense in the California bar disbarment trial against him. Unlike her, I've watched every minute of the trial, which is going into the third week. The bar is desperately trying to show there was no legal authority for Eastman to advise Trump that Mike Pence could have rejected electoral slates from states suspected of election fraud, but as more evidence comes out, their case is getting weaker and weaker.... ROBERT SPENCER — Up to now, the Washington Post’s resident “Fact-Checker” Glenn Kessler has been a loyal propagandist for the leftist establishment, never breaking character or giving any sign that he was interested in or even capable of independent thought. Even Kessler, however, seems to have finally had enough of Old Joe Biden’s constant lying. On Thursday, Kessler made what for the WaPo amounted to a remarkable admission: much of what Old Joe blathers on about is not “credible.” That’s a polite way of saying that the faux president is a liar....
