"Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun the frumious Bandersnatch." — Lewis Carroll

Lewis Carroll's famous poem reads like a cryptic warning to voters about the pitfalls of falling for the hollow promises of campaign speeches. However, a more timely caution came from Carol Kerouac, a nurse who commented on a recent Dick Morris' lunchtime video. She asked, "What did your grandmother say about grown men who offer candy?"

The candy in this case are "women's rights" to free birth control and government funded abortions. President Obama even threw himself into the bargain by referring to himself as "eye candy" for the ladies on The View. Now the Democrats are running a 60-second commercial about an 18-year-old associating first time voting with losing her virginity, and saying she had to "do it' with the just the right candidate.

Just who did she have in mind? Certainly not someone tall, dark and handsome? There would be hell to pay in the White House if she did.

All of which simply illustrates how insane this campaign has gotten!

Meanwhile, the Democrats were unrelenting in blasting Republicans for their so-called "war on women." Anyone who even slightly disagrees with their agenda for unlimited access to taxpayer-funded abortion and birth control are instantly blasted as extremists.

Weeks can go by before identifying those who killed four Americans in Benghazi as Al Quaida terrorists, but let one pro-life candidate make a dumb misstatement about abortion and rape, and the libs are ready to proclaim the end of Western civilization. It doesn't matter that such cases constitute about 1% of all abortions. To them it's still the end of the world.

Meanwhile, they continue to mislead and intimidate huge groups of Americans into totally ignoring the devastating impact our abortion culture has had on women, minorities, the under-45 generation, and our whole economy.

Fortunately, we're not all totally deaf, dumb and blind to the destruction that 55.3 million abortions have done to our great American civilization. They can intimidate all they want, but they can't suppress the facts forever.

I mean, let's start talking like adults. Abortion and birth control are social experiments that have been going on for over 45 years. The data is in. All you have to do is look at it with a measure of objectivity, and it is easy to see that this so-called experiment is the main reason for the decline and fall of America.

Here's just a partial list of the damage:

The American economy: 55.3 million abortions have caused a cumulative GDP loss of at least $50 trillion. Double that if you include the impact of more aggressive birth control.

The younger generation: We've aborted 30% of the entire under-45 generation. That means 30% fewer younger voters, workers, producers, consumers and taxpayers — dramatically reducing their future social, political and economic power. The Gen-Xers should be up in arms about this.

Women: The left likes to talk about the "war on women," but the real war on women is the 28 million girl babies who have been aborted, plus an equivalent number eliminated by more efficient birth control. That means far less clout for women in the future, and at least 17 million fewer young women voters today.

There have been similar losses among men, but women are the "squeaky wheel" today, so that's what we're counting. Under-45 men have at least one national spokesman in V.P. candidate Paul Ryan. Women have none. Sarah Palin almost made it. Look how the left pilloried her.

African-Americans: Here again, people are blindly voting against their own self interest by supporting pro-abortion candidates who promise them the sky and give them nothing.

As a result, some 20 million black babies have been aborted. That's 4,000 times as many blacks as were lynched in 150 years since the Civil War, yet the left has no compunction but to talk as if they were giving away candy to kids.

They don't tell you that giving condoms to 12-year-old black kids in public schools is a bigger killer than guns. Yet enticing young people into premature sexual activity has been a marketing strategy for Planned Parenthood for years.

Pandering to adolescent sexual proclivities is the modern political equivalent of Roman bread and circuses. What this does to destroy the black family and degrade the social environment of the "hood" is bad enough, but what it does to black poverty and black economic growth is frightful.

Why black voters continue to support politicians who have sold them down the river to the abortion industry is the crucial question.

Hispanics: In New York City, the Hispanic abortion rate is 40% compared to 60% for blacks and 20% for whites. Clearly, Hispanics are being acculturated into the dominant urban subculture as fast as any group before them.

This must be a disappointment to Catholic bishops who saw great hope in Latino immigration to help a church that was losing ground among the young. Both problems suggest a need to make pro-life education the core of their efforts.

Much more startling, however, is the ratio between abortion and the number of deaths from all other causes. Nationally, there are twice as many abortions among Hispanics than deaths from all other causes, including old age, diseases of all kinds, street crime, etc. The ratio is higher for Hispanics because they are a younger group and therefore have a lower death rate.

Among blacks, there are 1.5 times as many abortions as deaths from all other causes. Among whites, the ratio drops to 0.5 — that is, 50% as many abortions as deaths from all other causes. That is still a startling number.

In this pro-abortion world, it means that we can't wait for people to die of old age. We have to kill them before they take their first breath.

Democrats: I suppose the last group anyone would think is being damaged by our abortion culture is the Democratic Party. But as a former Democrat who left the party in 1992, I disagree.

When you look at the data state by state, it quickly becomes clear that 80% of all abortions occur in Democratic "blue" states. In short, most of the social, economic and political damage it causes falls on these same Democrat states.

Just add up the voter losses for groups that favor Democrats, and you'll get an instant picture of the political support that Democrats have aborted away over the last 4 decades. Here's the loss in voting age population for each group:

Women: 17 million missing

Blacks: 12 million missing

Hispanics: 8 million missing

Total 37 million missing

Assuming normal margins for Democrats, that adds up to an estimated 27 million Democrats who won't be around to vote for Barack Obama on November 6 — all because of abortion.

If Obama loses, abortion will be the #1 reason.

As they say, what goes around comes around. The Jabberwock will get you in the end.
