Genocide and culturicide in Ukraine

The NYT recently ran an article on the Malaysian jet shoot-down, quoting analysts from both Ukraine and Russia. It ends with a de rigueur statement from a US official who said he had "no reason" to doubt the Ukrainian analysis. Yet look what a Ukrainian official said:
"We have proof that the terrorist attack was planned and carried out with the involvement of representatives of the Russian Federation," Mr. Nayda, the intelligence official, said. "We know that Russia is trying to hide its terrorist activity and their direct involvement."
Cui bono in the shoot-down affair?

That's easy. Only the West, which enabled the Maidan putsch, benefits. While it is possible that Russia supplied the Russian speaking defenders with material, no one in their right mind would plan an attack that could only detract from their political prestige especially in view of Russia's precarious position. There could not be any proof that the Russian government planned this absolute public relations disaster for Russia. That is a lie and not a clever one. Why would military leaders sit around and say "let's see, how can we make the entire West hate us more? Maybe even cause them to get involved militarily and make a big dent in our economy?" Anyone who believes that fairy tale is just plain stupid. Why do you suppose Russia spends so much effort publishing Russia Today in English? So that Westerners will become even more Russophobic? Duh!

This is a low point in the life of the Russian defenders. The use of the term "terrorist attack" causes the reader to associate this with senseless attacks by Muslims or Mexican cartels, who don't care if we hate them.

The pro-Russian defenders, and especially Putin, are seeking propaganda advantages, not public relations disasters.

So to say the attack was planned may be true, but if so, then it was definitely not the Russians who planned it.

Admittedly, both sides tweak the facts, but when only one side is heard, that can have dire consequences, as it did in Kosovo, when Western media insisted Serbs (Christians. Always the bad guys for the NWO) were committing genocide, but after the war, investigations showed that there was no amount of murder that rose to the level of genocide. The West invested your blood and treasure in fighting a war based on a fiction. Details here.

As the father of a recruit-aged boy, I am concerned about having my son ordered to fight based on a similar myth.

And what is that myth?

Here is what it is not: it is not a myth that the pro-Russian defenders are fighting with Russian supplied materiel. That is not the issue.

The myth is subtle. Western media and the political class are leaving you under the impression that Putin is a land grabber and that the defenders are illegitimate, when in fact, they have just been stripped of their rights to the local control they have enjoyed for over a century, and in fact, unlike the Western oligarchy, Putin is far from an expansionist. He is a leader deeply concerned about the survival of his people. In fact, Poroshenko not only denied them a federal system like ours but denied them the official use of Russian (spoken by roughly 40% of Ukrainians as their native language). The 40% figure is deceptive. Here is something more that the oligarchs are hiding from you, leaving you under the false impression that Russian is hardly used at all in the West of Ukraine. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have found no articles listing the percentage of people in Ukraine who can and do often speak Russian, whether or not they consider it their native language, but I suspect it is over 90%.

How would I know?

Glad you asked. When I was studying in Leningrad in the early 70s, our American group took a side trip to Kiev (Western Ukraine, mind you, the part with fewer native speakers of Russian). While there, we spoke only Russian with people we met and with all shop keepers, hotel personnel, etc. whom we dealt with. No one there spoke anything but perfect Russian to us. No foreign accent or syntax. And not one soul said anything to us in Ukrainian indicating they didn't know Russian. So what we "know" about Ukraine is heavily slanted by the western media and even by Wikipedia, which fails to report the percentage of Ukrainians including Western ones, who can and often do speak Russian even though some of these do not say in polls that they consider themselves native speakers of Russian. Why would the information providers hide that vitally important fact from you? Because the west is planning a subtle form of genocide against Russian speakers and total culturicide against Russian culture, just as the US oligarchs did to the Shinto religion in Japan after WW II. In Japan, I saw a Shinto temple in ruins as a result of the US enforced pogrom and later told my Buddhist priest host. He said he would talk to the townspeople and see if they could repair it. No one wants their culture tampered with, even the subcultures that they do not identify with but with which they coexist. The exaltation of one culture above all others in government is cultural cleansing, a variant of ethnic cleansing – something endorsed by the Svoboda party, which was supported by American politicians like Senator McCain. A disturbing description of the Kiev neo-Nazis in Kiev's Maidan, is provided here:
White supremacist banners and Confederate flags were draped inside Kiev's occupied City Hall, and demonstrators have hoisted Nazi SS and white power symbols over a toppled memorial to V.I. Lenin. After Yanukovich fled his palatial estate by helicopter, EuroMaidan protesters destroyed a memorial to Ukrainians who died battling German occupation during World War II. Sieg heil salutes and the Nazi Wolfsangel symbol have become an increasingly common sight in Maidan Square, and neo-Nazi forces have established "autonomous zones" in and around Kiev.
Finally, the Western elites want us to forget that the people who allegedly use Russian materiel to shoot down planes are not deliberately attacking civilian planes. They were recently bombed, for heaven's sake! Innocent villagers who committed the unthinkable crime of being Russian speakers, were victims of genocidal air bombardments by the US backed junta.

Have you seen these horrific photos surfacing since the shoot down of the air liner? (Oh but we are supposed to forget that. Remembering that the Russian villagers were bombed by our side is unpatriotic.)

This is why it is necessary for these people to defend themselves. They are not the aggressors. They are fighting for their lives and their identity, denied them by US puppet Poroshenko.

Take another look at the report here, and at a report of banned incendiary bombs being used by the Ukrainian junta

The Western oligarchs were delighted to rub your nose in the Malaysian airliner story, over and over again. It was all to their benefit.

Washington says it has space photos and data from one of its satellites over the area at the time of the downing. Russia has requested they publish the photos and data. Either this is a high-risk bluff or Russia knows such photos can only exonerate it. If Washington does not publish these, claiming the data are "classified" or the like inane excuse, then we can reasonably expect they are hiding exculpatory evidence that would deconstruct their war-drum narrative.

But what's new?
