Two of the more aesthetic aspects of Trump’s address to Congress on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, were a definite cheerful attitude and gallery full of remarkable people with almost unbelievable stories.
After Trump’s forty-four-day whirlwind of actions, it was expected that there would be a few extravagant reactions by the Democrats, starting with the removal of Rep. Al Green, D-Texas.
House Speaker Mike Johnson asked Green to show some decorum, but he would have none of it. The Speaker reacted according to the house rules and had the Sergeant at Arms physically remove him, even as kept up the jabber on his way out of the chambers.
Like a group of defiant teens, the Dem’s provided pink outfits to protest the policies on women and families. Anti-Elon stickers and paddles that read, “MUSK STEALS.”
While Minority Whip Katherine Clark had asked the Democrats to refrain from using props, some could not be contained. They sported white board messages and black shirts with “No More Kings” emblazoned on the back.
But the worst part of their behavior was a generally sullen attitude—deep, dark, and approaching the demonic. It was as if a low, dark cloud had slipped into the chamber from a passing storm and came to hover over the democratic section of the chamber.
It required no sixth sense to discern the evil of angry, dissatisfied people who exude a tangible, overt hatred for just one person. They heard Trump speak, but the demons kept telling them that it was actually Hitler. They believed it!
Policies are one thing and political differences are another, but hatred is always demonic.
The dark cloud over the Democrats gives full meaning to the words of the Apostle John.
“He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.” (1John 2: 10-12)
The Democrats gave no applause when young cancer survivor ”DJ” Daniel was given an honorary position in the Secret Service.
They did not applaud when high school teen Jason Hartley was told by the president that his application to West Point was accepted.
They remained silent and sullen when the mother and lovely young sister of the slain Laken Riley were honored by the Commander in Chief.
Trump honored many citizens and many of his own cabinet members for their work and sacrifice, but the Dems would not budge.
As the speech unfolded, nothing stirred the Democrats. Their faces remained lifeless, and responses, or the lack of them, gave definition to the words perverted and demonic.
The only Bible passage that would serve to describe the Democratic reaction to Trump’s address comes from the gospel of Luke. We need only to replace the word "generation" in the passage with the words "Democratic Party." To wit:
“And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like? They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.” (Luke 7:31,32)
They huddled lifeless, sulking, and sneering and stayed staunchly silent, but an echo of demons could be heard under that cloud hovering over them—it was uttering the demonic cry of "Let us alone."
