Gretchen Whitmer: A cocktail of degenerative thinking and tyranny?

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is now hands-down the best example of what happens when a leader grossly disregards American’s civil liberties and considers the current moral decline just another intrinsic civil right.

Gretchen may be seeking a Biden-Whitmer ticket in the fall, but she has impressed almost no one in her state and Joe Biden is already looking elsewhere.

After easing restrictions in Michigan, Whitmer suddenly decided to extend the lockdown through June 12, 2020, and the state of emergency is extended to June 19, 2020

Whitmer says the extension is to help curb or eliminate a second wave of Coronavirus infections.

Enter the Great Whitmer Circus of Absurdities

Whitmer sent out her posse under her AG Dana Nessel to arrest 77-year-old barber Karl Manke for opening his shop. He explained that he needs to make a living and has no unemployment compensation to fall back on. A county judge intervened on Manke’s behalf and Sheriff Brian Begole says he will not enforce the arrest against Manke.

Manke still faces misdemeanor charges and possible fines in the future. He has been practicing distancing, masking and complete sterilization of his shop. So much for guarding the rights and livelihoods of the citizens of Michigan.

But the greatest example of what can come from leftist liberal lunacy and degenerative and perverted moral thinking is what Whitmer did next.

In Lansing, in spite of the extended lockdown, a gay swingers club complete with “glory holes” has been allowed to open and carry on the debauch with full legal impunity.

Is it the health of Michiganians or power that Whitmer is reveling in? Little tyrants need a much bigger cloak than legitimate leaders because they are still on the rising path to their own perceived success.

Whitmer’s cloak could double for an oversized granny quilt, but sadly, it doesn’t seem that Biden has noticed and when she comes up for another term, many Michiganders will tell if they noticed or not.

The people of Michigan may only want things to return to normal – but gay clubs with “glory holes” is a very long way from normal.

An op-ed often ends in a dead end if it becomes, just another view of events. In order to make it any different, it must offer a resolve or at least a possible pathway to relief.

I would love to give credit where credit is due, but I cannot remember the name of the radio preacher who said concerning the road back from the coronavirus pandemic, “We need to return to Jesus, not to normal”

I do remember, however, that it was the Great King Solomon who said these words.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” (Proverbs 29:2)
