Touching briefly on current events is enough to cause trauma!

The year 2019 found over 12 major nations in protests and unrest, fulfilling many prophetic warnings including those of Jesus...

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (Mt 24:6)

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken." (Lk 21:25-26)

And the Apostle Paul says this...

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." (2Tim 3:1)

Over a dozen countries have seen protests and riots across the globe in 2019.

France
Hong Kong (China)
Iran
Iraq
India
Venezuela
Chile
Indonesia,
Netherlands
Peru
Haiti
Lebanon
Syria (Kurds)

Expecting success at some things is quite possible, but the expectation of peace throughout our nation or the world is a pipe dream.

We may well expect some problems to be solved if the world was not so bent on leaning left. Leftism produces a sort of cloud of delusion in which good people take up causes that are not really the problem to begin with. Leftism is evil masked in political purpose.

The deceptiveness of the human heart is disregarded for the delusion of global warming. But that is the result of the world fulfilling the formula for the last days events that catches them off guard and woefully unprepared.

The two-step formula is this.

1. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jer 17:9)

2. "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:" (2Th 2:11)

The threat to our planet is not CO2, but it is the desires of men's hearts to lust, war, greed and a few dozen other unchecked human compunctions.

Sorry, but even if we made grumpy little 16-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg the last ruler of the world, she nor her ideas, will be enough to stem the tide of last days events and portents.

Most have already heard of the events that precede the second coming of Christ and while the prophecies are largely ignored by the world even the church is barley giving heed.

Little wonder that Christ often warned that he would come as a "thief in the night."

All the details notwithstanding, there are three general categories in which prophecies influence both our nation and the world.

Things that have advanced beyond the mark and are calling for God's interventional action

In 2020 the 40 years it took to produce the flow of dead babies produced by abortionists and their Roe v. Wade ruling, has now been capped with every preacher, prophet, activist and concerned citizens outcry against it in the last seven-year period of time.

Forty-seven years of death accompanied by strong warnings is begging for judgment, and some say it has already begun with calamities and problems our nation is facing today. From fires to homelessness and political unrest to Trump hatred swallowing up a once noble and respected political party.

Also calling for judgment is America's unrestrained call for everything prurient and perverted. Homosexuality, transgenderism, pedophilia and twisted heretofore unheard-of perversions that would make Sodom and Gomorrah blush – have filled the cup of lust to overflowing.

These markers are already beyond the pale, but we also must include, the wasting of the young minds of an entire generation, to the Godless tripe that imagines everything came from nothing. It is considered high thinking, but it is the depths of deception, hiding incognito and clandestinely and stealing the minds of the unsuspecting.

Judgment for these things is pending and near at the doors.

Things that are looming and threatening the nation and the world

Hanging over the entire nation is the unprecedented vitriol and hatred for a sitting president that is pushing the nation to the brink of civil war. Was Hillary such a prize that her loss should bring about the fall of our republic?

Some are still wasting time trying to decide if Mr. Trump was appointed by God. It is rather late for that. Now we can just look to his record over the last three years – it is stunning. The economy is booming, jobs are everywhere, the wall is getting built and religious freedoms are being vigorously defended and trade deals are in the making, just to name a few of the president's accomplishments.

It is not the question of Trump's calling that weighs the most, but is the question of why, that we need to focus on. For America the Trump administration signals a reprieve, or a bit of time, as the Bible says – a bit of space. What is the space for? Don't make the mistake of shying away from this assessment because you think the word used here is altogether too religious. The fact is, that God is giving us – space to repent. (Rev 2: 20-21)

Hollywood misfits and the democratic gang of malcontents are lending more proof to the evolutionary idea that we descended from apes, than the entire array of missing transitional links that plague the so-called, science of special selection.

Who could have guessed that after enduring the threat of Nazism, communism, two world wars and the rise of liberalism, that we are now threatened by extinction – from ordinary stupidity?

Across the nation, our college kids are echoing Chairman Mao's call to destroy the ancient foundations and pull down the remaining signs of days gone by. They have gotten socialism, liberalism and communism mixed up with something that actually works.

They have given God his walking papers and are unable to see that the god of this world (Satan) is giving them the boot right out of the future they envision for themselves. It is not hard to understand why the scriptures labels him as the "arch deceiver." He is no magician or clown because it is lives – he steals – not just fickle fame or failing fortune.

It may have been Mark Twain, Josh Billings or perhaps Artemus Ward that made the following quote, but regardless of who said it, we can be sure it fits this generation more than any other in history.

"It Ain't What You Don't Know That Gets You into Trouble. It's What You Know for Sure That Just Ain't So"

Things that have begun to fulfill prophetic milestones – and cannot be reversed

A crash course in scriptural prophecy produces a plethora of various kinds of prophecy.

The first is known as the "protevangelium" which is a promise of Satan's failure and the success of Christ. (Gen 3:15)

After that came the ancient prophecies made by local prophets, after that came the prophecies made by those prophets who lived during the rise and fall of the nation of Israel and included the pre, mid and post exilic prophets.

Interspersed with the aforementioned prophets, are prophecies known as "messianic." (The first coming of Christ) From Old Testament times to the final book of Revelation in the New Testament another kind of prophecy is what is known as "pre-millennial." It is out of these that we see that after the gathering of the church from a fully populated planet – one generation would stand out among them all. It is the generation in which Christ will return in power to take away the rule of man over the earth.

It is a marker among pre-millennial prophecies because it assures us that all the prophetic signs must and will converge together in one single generation.

"So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." (Mt 24:33-34)

It starts with one major prophecy, namely the re-birth of the nation of Israel and the re-taking of the city of Jerusalem. That means 1948 and 1967 respectively.

The remaining prophecies that come together in that last generation are far too many to include and explain in one article.

Suffice it to say, that just this week one event took place that only a few years ago would have seemed impossible. Last week Russia, China and Iran came together to conduct joint naval exercises, which Times of Israel called – "The New Triangle of Sea Power"

Pre-millennial prophecies long ago described the coalition of these world powers and that one day they will take a perilous march into the little nation of Israel. It will be the last thing these nations do militarily on the face of the earth.

Ball or hammer the time approaches – what to do?

In a few days the New Year's ball will fall in Manhattan, as it has since 1907, it is safe to say, that whether you are a prophecy buff or a news buff, you can see the tension, the tumult and the terrifying portents that are now daily becoming reality. The hammer of God may fall not long after the ball, this year, next year – no man knows the day or the hour, but the season is blatantly apparent.

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near." (Mr 13:28)

For America it may be a David Wilkerson vision or a heeding of the call to return. Trump wasn't the first to call for a nation to be great again – it was clearly God. To wit:

"Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?" (Mal 3: 7)

Sorry America, you can't knock God's MAGA hat off of his head – but you can answer the call to return!
