We think it's a trend -- in reality it is called reprobation

In times past it may have been true that you could lead a horse to water even if you couldn't make him drink. Today, it may be counterproductive, politically incorrect, not trendy or just plain illegal to lead the horse to water.

UC Irvine executive cabinet vetoed a resolution banning the American flag in all student government offices. Some sixty members of the faculty still believe the ban should be in effect citing the times throughout history when the flag represented colonialism or imperialism. Also noted was the notion that the flag may create xenophobia or racial bias among the pampered PC students whose feelings must be regarded as inclusion and diversity are given their due reverence.

A generation long effort to kick God out of the halls of academia is now in its advanced stages where even the by-products of America's Christian foundations are being tossed, such as the constitution and any semblance of national pride.

Southern California's KTLA5 posted an article and video on March 10, 2015 declaring that the ban may be causing a possible 'threat of violence' on the campus. No one can say for sure if the faculty or students would be willing to take bumps and bruises to make their point, but for millions the of Americans it's too late to stop the 'threat of stupidity' – it has already erupted.

What's next for those who supposedly lead the bright young minds of UCI, perhaps they will ban the use of all idioms for fear of mystifying the poor darlings. A rolling stone gathering no moss may fall into the PC banned list because it could be construed as 'anti-green. A penny saved may be seen as anti-one percent. It takes two to tango may be perceived to be – anti-Latino. Where does it end?

Images of the battered and brave soldiers who mounted Old Glory on the blood soaked hills of Iowa Jima come to mind, but not so much for the UCI faculty members. Liberals don't have a flag unless you count the one found on Wikipedia and listed as the flag of 'liberals' Doesn't look bad, but most of us identify with our country's flag, not the banner of some social group within the country.

It must be noted that in the absence of a higher moral authority and a clear moral code as provided in the Bible, PC is all you have left. Politically correct speech is not up to the job. We can't sound too righteous because some may be offended and we can't sound too condescending because someone may have their feelings hurt.

Words are used to prop up ersatz and diffuse real feelings, after which, all that remains is to stand perfectly silent about any uncomfortable truths. An example is in the President's refusal to publicly connect Islam with terrorism. His silence is deafening, but the results in real time are bloody. It does well to note that usually the blood of others, not theirs, or his, is spilled when people hide behind politically correct speech.

Today we see PC as part of social trending, it is a Beatles' kind of wishful imaging of a dandy little world where nothing offends, everything is green and happiness and joy is everywhere. It is the byproduct of a Disney kind of imagination and a liberal education. By any other name it is known as reprobation.

Reprobation is not an unwillingness to see and do what is right – it is the complete inability to see what is right or discern what is wrong. PC is the language of reprobation. It is the substitute for real morality.

Barack Obama is the quintessential poster child for PC and its results. But it seems that he and other liberal minds have arrived on the scene at just the right moment to bolster the oncoming of the well prophesied last days. The end times come with a full complement of social changes, blind guides of the blind and its own nifty little language to make it all completely understandable to the weakest of minds.

The result of this trend is a total disaster for all who are mindlessly washed into its poisoned stream.

"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient." (Romans 1: 28)
