BOB UNRUH — It was the Washington Examiner that called Joe Biden's 2023 State of the Union address to the American public – those who watched it, "A banal failure of a State of the Union." "The best thing that can be said about President Joe Biden's second State of the Union address last night is that a record-low number of people wasted their time watching it. It was a laundry list of nanny statism, promising that not even the tiniest detail of people's lives will be free from federal interference…"... (more)

DENNIS PRAGER — This past Saturday night, the New York Rangers National Hockey League (NHL) team did something almost unbelievable. Though scheduled to wear LGBTQ “Pride” jerseys during pregame warmups, not one member of the team did so. Another recent example of defying LGBTQ+ “Pride” jersey demands in the NHL—which is run by people who are as governed by cowardice as those who run Major League Baseball, the National Football League, and the National Basketball Association—was a player for the Philadelphia Flyers, Ivan Provorov, who refused to wear a “Pride” jersey 10 days earlier.... PAUL CAMERON — The notion that "what works" to cure disease, build sewer systems, raise animals, etc., is "empirical science" has typified the West for hundreds of years. Likewise, the notion that "what is good for humans is the primary duty of medicine" resulted from the Christian doctrine that caused humanity to "reproduce and master the environment" over which God gave us dominion: we manage our animals and plants.... BOB UNRUH — The headlines have been filled in the last couple days with word of Chinese spy balloons crossing the United States at high altitude. So far, the U.S. has shot one down. Of course, defenders of Joe Biden, on whose watch the apparent spying is taking place, immediately had to blame Donald Trump. TWITTER — In a video recording of a World Economic Forum interview posted Jan. 17 at Twitter, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla told his audience that it is his "dream"—and that of his company—that by 2023, "we will reduce the number of people in the world by 50 percent." Exactly when the video was recorded is unclear, but Bourla became CEO of Pfizer on Jan. 1, 2019, and the goal was adopted by "the company" that month (according to the video)—roughly a year before the Covid-19 pandemic began. Note that the response of the audience to Bourla's words at the time of the recording was tepid (though nonetheless shocking), no doubt because most of his listeners were happy to keep on living....
