TOWNHALL — Biden's "garage-gate" scandal keeps growing as it turns out even more documents were found at President Biden's private residence earlier this week, but their existence was only disclosed on Saturday morning. On Thursday afternoon, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre — who has insisted she's being truthful with the American people and transparent about what she and the White House knows — told Americans that the search for classified documents in Biden's possession was "complete" and Biden was "confident" in the process.... ROBERT SPENCER — It’s clear now that both impeachments of Donald Trump were shabby partisan affairs that will be remembered as shameful episodes in American history. But they happened, and that’s that — or is it? Now House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has suggested that the impeachments could be “expunged.” Mediaite reported Friday that McCarthy “said at his first official presser in the job that he and the House GOP majority might ‘look at’ the idea of expunging ex-president Donald Trump’s impeachments.”... But some of the popular conservative commentators do not understand the damage done by the Church Committee, or who its chairman, Frank Church, really was.... (more)

BOB UNRUH — President Trump is calling for primary opponents for all of the 18 Republican senators who supported Joe Biden's latest spending spree. He was referencing Biden's $1.7 trillion spending bill that passed Congress just before the holidays. "It's as though [Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell] just doesn’t care anymore, he pushes through anything the Democrats want. The $1.7 TRILLION quickly approved Bill of the week before was HORRIBLE. Zero for USA Border Security. If he waited just ten days, the now 'United Republican Congress' could have made it MUCH BETTER, or KILLED IT. Something is wrong with McConnell, and those Republican Senators that Vote with him. ROBERT SPENCER — Lia Thomas did it, so why can’t Iszac Henig? Lia is the University of Pennsylvania swimmer who performed indifferently on the men’s team and then proclaimed that he was a woman. Competing on the women’s team, lo and behold, suddenly he became a championship swimmer, breaking records left and right and winning an NCAA swimming championship. It was the strength he got from being transgender and enduring bigotry and hate, right? So we should expect that Iszac Henig, who used to be a female swimmer and now says she is a male, would perform at the same stellar level, right? Well, it didn’t quite turn out that way. It turns out that in the cases of both Thomas and Henig, biological reality can’t simply be wished away.... (more)

CLIFF KINCAID — I received an email ad from a “conservative” website promising “Walter Cronkite-style” reporting. The terrible truth is that Walter Cronkite symbolized liberal media bias and used that bias with disastrous consequences for our nation and the world. That media bias today, some of which is on the right side of the political spectrum, aims to depict the Jewish President of Ukraine as a Nazi running a fascist regime. It is a variation of Russian KGB President Vladimir Putin’s communist propaganda.... (more)

PETER LABARBERA — An essay in the conservative Federalist approvingly quotes a "senior congressional aide" who calls the concessions won by dissident House Freedom Caucus members in the battle to elect the House Speaker the "most significant win for conservatives in a decade." “Everything that Republicans and conservatives say they hate — giant, thousand-page spending bills negotiated by a handful of people with little input from anyone else, plum committee assignments reserved for insiders, and a closed off amendment process — is addressed here,” the Republican aide told the Federalist culture editor Emily Jashinsky in her Jan. 9 piece.... THE FEDERALIST — First comes love, then comes an indeterminate period of conveniently living together to decide whether your partner’s dishwasher-loading habits are a dealbreaker, then comes marriage. Today a lot of young daters assume moving in together is a prerequisite for matrimonial success. But it actually hikes up a couple’s proclivity toward divorce compared to spouses who wed without first cohabitating — a statistic that shocked hosts Jordyn Woodruff and Alex Bennett of Barstool Sports’ “Mean Girl” podcast in Wednesday’s episode....
