PJ MEDIA — Happy Veterans’ Day! A great day to remember that freedom isn’t free, and to thank all those people in our lives who served or are serving in our nation’s military. West Point military academy chose a method of celebrating Veterans’ Day that was a little less focused on freedom and appreciation for service members, however — the day before the holiday, West Point gave unvaccinated cadets 10 hours to agree to get the COVID-19 vaccine or face punishment and potential expulsion. Because nothing says “Thank you for your service” like threatening to ruin your life for not taking an experimental vaccine.... (more)

JERRY NEWCOMBE — In eight years, America will celebrate a major milestone—the 400th anniversary of Boston. I passed through Boston’s airport in 2021 and noticed that they seem to be gearing up for this milestone with lots of signs and images celebrating major events in Boston’s history. Alas, they grossly underplayed the role of the Puritans in this upcoming anniversary. The Puritans established Boston. Their leader, Rev. John Winthrop, even said, famously, “For we must consider that we shall be like a City upon a Hill, the eyes of all people are on us.” The “city on a hill” reference comes ultimately from Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, as his hearers knew.... FOX NEWS — Patricia Heaton reached out on Thursday to Christians who are "disappointed" about the midterms. "For those of you who are Christians and who feel disappointed or despairing of the election results, it is a blessing to be reminded that our security does not rest in men or governments, which are finite and will eventually crumble, but in God alone who is ever sustaining," the "Everybody Loves Raymond" actress tweeted. The 64-year-old mother of four often posts about faith.... (more)

TOWNHALL — A U.S. Judge in Texas struck down President Joe Biden’s plan to give millions of student debt borrowers up to $20,000 for Pell Grant recipients and $10,00 for those who borrowed money using federal student loans. "Whether the Program constitutes good public policy is not the role of this Court to determine. Still, no one can plausibly deny that it is either one of the largest delegations of legislative power to the executive branch or one of the largest exercises of legislative power without congressional authority in the history of the United States,” U.S. District Judge Mark Pittman wrote in a statement.... TRISTAN JUSTICE — Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee captured a third term Tuesday night after his same-state GOP colleague in the upper chamber de facto backed Lee’s challenger, a Democrat masquerading as an independent. Mitt Romney, the junior senator from Utah, was the only Republican senator who refused Lee an endorsement against failed 2016 third-party presidential candidate Evan McMullin. In April, Romney told Politico his refusal to endorse in the contest was due to having “two friends” in the race.... (more... (more)

NEWSMAX — The "red wave" is strong in Arizona and Nevada and will lead to Republican control of the House and Senate, as Arizona's GOP candidates will all win their races, Newsmax's Ric Grenell, who has been on the ground in Arizona watching the race, said Wednesday, citing the high numbers of election day ballots still to be counted.... EDDIE SCARRY — While we wait for Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia to count their votes with the urgency of a DMV staffer on break, maybe Republicans should not accept the invitation from Democrats and the media to spend the next two years moaning about whether it’s time to “move on” from Donald Trump.... JUST THE NEWS — President Joe Biden on Wednesday suggested that he plans to mount a major effort to outlaw broad classes of firearms in the United States just one day after a better-than-expected showing of Democrats in the 2022 midterms. At a press conference at the White House on Wednesday afternoon, responding to a question from the Associated Press's Zeke Miller about what he "intend[s] to do differently" to persuade more voters to back his various agendas, Biden said: "Nothing. Because they're finding out what we're doing. The more they know about what we're doing, the more support there is."... (more)

ART MOORE — True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht and board member Gregg Phillips were released from jail in Houston, Texas, on Monday after a panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals overruled a federal judge's order. FOX NEWS — "Life, Liberty & Levin" host Mark Levin outlined the choices being presented to the American people in Tuesday's midterm elections in a final message to voters on his show over the weekend. "What does the Democrat Party stand for?… This is a party that's never embraced Americanism. It's a party that's always used racism for most of its existence against black people and other minorities. And today it has a strange sort of anti-white racism that you hear on TV and so forth. Joe Biden is the head of the Democrat Party. He speaks for the Democrat Party, and he says things to America and about Americans that no president has ever said, ever, even in the middle of a Civil War, even in the middle of World War Two. Joe Biden gives speeches in which he trashes the American people, just like Hillary Clinton does, just like Barack Obama does. This is new in American history."... (more)

LIFE SITE NEWS — The midterms are just days away, and the survival of America might very much be on the line. If Democrats flip two Senate seats and keep their narrow majority in the House, they’ll finally codify their woke agenda and fulfill their vision of “fundamentally transforming America.”... (more)

ART MOORE — Empirical research shows Google affected the outcome of the 2016 and 2020 elections in favor of Democrats, and the tech giant "has its digital thumb on the scale" of the current midterms, says Robert Epstein, a Democratic Party voter who was famed behavioral psychologist B.F. Skinner's last PhD student at Harvard.... (more)

TRISTAN JUSTICE — The Democrats’ Utah Senate candidate, Evan McMullin, went on Fox News’s “Special Report with Bret Baier” on Tuesday night to draw distance between his campaign and the Democratic Party. DESERET NEWS — Republican Rep. Burgess Owens and Democratic challenger Darlene McDonald agreed on very little in a lively debate Friday that featured two Black congressional candidates for perhaps the first time in Utah. STEPHEN STONE, FOUNDER & PRESIDENT OF RENEWAMERICA — With less than a week to go before the Nov. 8 election, let’s take a quick look at the most outrageous falsehoods the Democrat-aligned media and their point man, Evan McMullin, have perpetuated to unseat Utah’s senior U.S. senator, Mike Lee. It should be obvious to anyone who’s taken the time to closely follow the Lee-McMullin race that the media are rooting for the “opportunistic gadfly” McMullin (to use Mike Lee’s appropriate label), even helping McMullin shape and disseminate his talking points. Missing from media accounts is an accurate and fair representation of relevant facts.... (more)

JERRY NEWCOMBE — In 1629, the first American balloting for an election occurred in Salem, Massachusetts. The issue? Choosing a minister and choosing a Christian teacher for the colony. “Such is the origin of the use of the ballot on this continent; [Samuel] Skelton was chosen pastor and [Francis] Higginson teacher.” So writes George Bancroft, an early American historian, on this first election on American soil in Volume I of his 6-volume, History of the United States of America (1882).... MADELINE CRABB — President Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, “The future of this republic is in the hands of the American voter.” American citizens have the privilege and duty to vote in the midterm election next week. Many of you may have already voted, but for the rest, I hope you will seriously consider the following thoughts before you go to the polls. Why not also share these admonitions with those you know who might not understand the consequences of wrong choices?... (more)

JUST THE NEWS — With just a week to go before the midterm elections, there is a lack of confidence in the integrity of our elections, according to former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline. "Not enough is being done to restore faith in the American election process," Kline said on the Monday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "We need adults to show up and to come together on common ground and work out what it takes to run a fair election and it takes this: transparency, inclusion and accountability."... (more)
