TRISTAN JUSTICE — Fox News’ Tucker Carlson railed against former House staffer Evan McMullin Friday night as a “liberal Democrat” masquerading in a red state Senate race as an independent. “Utah is a conservative highly Republican state,” Carlson said in his opening prime-time monologue. “Evan McMullin has the same politics and worldview as Pete Buttigieg. He is running as a liberal Democrat. But he’s not running as a liberal Democrat, and that’s the key to success this year.”... (more)

DESERET NEWS — The U.S. Senate race between Sen. Mike Lee and Evan McMullin is a rough-and-tumble slugfest. Campaign activities are generating arguments among politicos over polling, negative ads, superPACs and all the other campaign stuff hacks like us enjoy. We share the fun. Both campaigns have revealed results of internal polling to show their candidate ahead. The Utah Debate Commission/Lighthouse Research survey showed Lee ahead 48%-37% with 5% undecided. Last week’s Deseret News/Hinckley Institute of Politics poll added fuel to the fire, showing the race essentially tied (Lee 36%, McMullin 34%, 16% undecided). What does this polling puzzle say about the race?... (more)

FOX NEWS — "Life, Liberty & Levin" host Mark Levin issued a stark warning to voters on his show Sunday about the future of the country if Republicans do not regain control of Congress in next month's midterm elections. During his opening monologue over the weekend, Levin accused Democrats of "dismantling" the country with politics and programs that have threatened the United States' longstanding foundational values.... WORLDNETDAILY — A “trapped” President Joe Biden could end up dragging Democrats down, Fox Business host Stuart Varney claimed Friday. “The President visited Pennsylvania. His handlers tried the basement strategy. Didn’t work,” Varney said. “They couldn’t keep him away from reporters. He lost his temper when he was asked about his limited campaign appearances. He went out on a limb on abortion and snapped at a reporter about that, too. But the President, he’s really trapped.”... (more)

JUST THE NEWS — Ajudge in New York ruled on Friday that it is unconstitutional to allow voting by mail based on fears of the coronavirus. Saratoga County Supreme Court Justice Dianne Freestone, a Republican, wrote in her decision on Friday that the New York state legislature, which is controlled by Democrats, "appears poised to continue the expanded absentee voting provisions of New York State Election Law … in an Orwellian perpetual state of health emergency and cloaked in the veneer of ‘voter enfranchisement,'" according to Fox News.... JUST THE NEWS — The Republican National Committee filed a federal lawsuit against Google for allegedly routing nearly all of their campaign emails to Gmail users' spam folders. The Republican group filed the lawsuit on Friday in California's Eastern District U.S. Court, alleging that Google is violating several California laws regarding political discrimination, unlawful business practices and economic interference. The RNC has been tracking Gmail inbox delivery for 10 months and found that at key periods at the end of every single month, Google has brought inbox delivery from 90-100% down to 0%, the group stated.... ART MOORE — When concerns were raised in 2020 regarding a plan by the World Economic Forum called the "Great Reset Initiative" to use the pandemic to accelerate globalism, establishment media mocked critics as addled conspiracy theorists. But the initiative is spelled out in WEF founder Klaus Schwab's book "COVID-19: The Great Reset" and demonstrated in President Biden's adoption of the globalist organization's "Build Back Better" plan.... PJ MEDIA — Until he became lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania, John Fetterman’s only political experience was as mayor of Braddock for a dozen years. Elected after receiving 148 votes — one more than his nearest competitor — Fetterman tried to give the people hope of a better future as he promised a better economy, more jobs, and a renewed spirit. Braddock was in pretty bad shape when Fetterman became mayor. It was in even worse shape when he left, as Spectator World‘s Teresa Mull described it.... (more)

FMR. NSC ADVISOR ROBERT C. O’BRIEN — I first met Utah Sen. Mike Lee after I left the George W. Bush administration. We were both practicing law at the time. We became friends, and we worked together in politics. Lee and I campaigned for our friend Mitt Romney when he ran for president in 2008 and again when he was the Republican nominee in 2012. My relationship with Lee was important because when I became the special presidential envoy for hostage affairs in 2018, I knew that I could rely on him to help me bring Americans home. He was always there for our fellow Americans, especially when the hostages were connected to Utah by residency or by family and religious ties.... (more)

ART MOORE — Calling it "probably the largest data breach in United States history," Los Angeles County prosecutor Eric Neff said Chinese contractors working for a Michigan-based software company had direct control over U.S. election data through an app for poll workers called PollChief. The prosecutor, describing the volume of data in the breach as "astounding," was commenting on the criminal case against Eugene Yu, the CEO of Konnech, for allegedly storing Los Angeles election worker data on servers based in China.... JERRY NEWCOMBE — The Dobbs Supreme Court decision in June which overturned Roe v. Wade, notes ob-gyn Dr. Ingrid Skop, “has sent abortion advocates and their allies in the media scurrying to strike fear into the hearts of women.” Just last Tuesday, the White House held a meeting to see how they could further promote abortion in America.... DENNIS PRAGER — There are a number of reasons many young people shy away from conservatism. The most obvious is that they have been exposed only to left-wing values—from elementary school through graduate school, in the movies, on television, on social media and now even at Disneyland. Less obvious but equally significant is that they have never been properly exposed to conservative values. Since at least the World War II generation, most parents who held conservative values either did not think they had to teach their children those values or simply did not know how to do so. Most still don’t. If asked to define conservative values, most conservatives will be tongue-tied.... (more)

WAYNE ALLYN ROOT — I never thought I'd be thanking an ex-Democrat former congresswoman and presidential candidate for telling the truth, exposing the evil Democratic agenda and saving the GOP. LIFE NEWS — Yahoo! Finance tried one of the most pathetic tactics to deflect responsibility away from President Joe Biden for America’s ongoing supply chain crisis: blaming pro-lifers for the diaper shortage. The publication belched up a wild Oct. 9 propaganda story with an insane headline: “America is facing a diaper crisis, and the anti-abortion movement is making it worse.” Yahoo! Finance senior editor Sandra Salathe made the arbitrary connection that diapers may be in shorter supply because crisis pregnancy centers focus on protecting life rather than encouraging abortion. Salathe wielded leftist pro-abortion group Equity Forward to lambaste pro-life groups like Heartbeat International — an “interdenominational Christian organization that claims to serve approximately 2,850 pregnancy help centers, maternity homes, and nonprofit adoption agencies” — for supposedly “‘solely exist[ing] to deter people from getting abortion care.’”... JOAN SWIRSKY — In 1959, I was 18, newly married to my former boyfriend of four years, and thrilled to be starting my “grown-up” life with the man of my dreams. Little did my then-apolitical self know that the idyllic decade of the ‘50s had been preceded by decades of a concerted effort to destroy the American family, an effort fueled by the same fanatical Communist zealots who now occupy the Oval Office of the United States of America!... MICHELLE MALKIN — Next week, a young college student will face a federal judge in Washington, D.C., at a sentencing hearing over his nonviolent participation in the Jan. 6 Capitol rally. UCLA undergrad Christian Secor was arrested in February 2021 and spent more than a month in solitary confinement. Think about that. Unlike the weekly parade of repeat violent criminal rapists, robbers, pedophiles and murderers across the country with massive rap sheets who enjoy a no-bail revolving door, Christian had never, ever been in trouble with the law before his arrest.... ART MOORE — One might think that a top Pfizer executive's admission in testimony before the European Parliament that her company's vaccine was never tested during clinical trials for the ability to prevent transmission of COVID-19 would be front-page news. After all, the whole premise for the vaccine mandates that have cost many people their livelihoods, separated them from loves ones, and barred them from restaurants and sports arenas is that the shots stop the spread of the SARS-CoV2 virus....
