REV. MARK H. CREECH — In her Princeton undergraduate thesis, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan wrote ten years ago: "Through its own internal feuding...the SP [Socialist Party] exhausted itself forever and further reduced labor radicalism in New York to the position of marginality and insignificance from which it has never recovered.... CLIFF KINCAID — Let's understand why a liberal magazine known as the Atlantic would release an anonymously-sourced, unsubstantiated story about President Trump allegedly making offensive comments about wounded and fallen soldiers. It has everything to do with misdirection. The magazine knows that Joe Biden's record on war and peace is scandalous. That means the media have to talk about something else.... (more)

CITIZEN FREE PRESS — Investigative journalist Paul Sperry tweeted Saturday that the Atlantic's Thursday hit piece claiming President Trump told aides on a 2018 trip to France that American war dead are "losers and suckers" appears to be the work of the Biden campaign. Aides who accompanied Trump on the trip say they never heard the president say such an absurd thing, or anything like it, contrary to unsubstantiated allegations by the Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg, who wrote the scurrilous, embellished piece. (See reaction on Twitter and Sperry's Twitter page.)... (more)

JOAN SWIRSKY — It's not a recent observation on my part; it goes back decades, so I've had a long time to figure out the meaning of this peculiar phenomenon. Specifically, it's that conservatives like me seem to enjoy the lion's share of being in a good mood, feeling optimistic, trusting that the many forms of rugged individualism can solve most problems, smiling easily and often, and generally seeing both the present and future as glasses half full.... CLIFF KINCAID — In his great book Unmasking Obama, Jack Cashill tells the story of those in the alternative media who uncovered a series of scandals involving Barack Hussein Obama, his campaign, and presidency. However, it didn't help that the Republicans nominated two weak candidates, John McCain in 2008 and Mitt Romney in 2012, who shied away from talking about the scandals (such as that of Obama's communist mentor).... JERRY NEWCOMBE — When I was a kid, I loved summer and dreaded the fall, because fall meant returning to school, with playtime over. But this year, I am glad to see summer is over. Phew. There are some parts of this country that I don't even recognize anymore- -Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Kenosha, New York City. The Marxists in the streets have turned some parts of America into the wild, wild West. There are reported to be at least 30 dead in violence- -14 of them cops. Sean Hannity said Aug. 28 that 3000 policemen have been injured in the recent riots.... (more)

BONNIE CHERNIN — There was quite a contrast between the 2020 Republican and Democratic national conventions and their messaging. The DNC was about negativity, bigotry, intolerance, and anti-Trump canards. The fact that Democrat governors are not controlling riots or murder rates in their states was ignored. No mention of the cancel culture that has become the unofficial platform of the Democrat party, where your religious freedom exists as long as it is not seen or heard.... (more)
