The consequences of deception
By Mary Mostert
In an article entitled "Nazi Philosophy in Today's America" (see: http://patriotsandliberty.com/?p=10818) Hilmar von Campe lists similarities between National Socialism, as practiced by Adolf Hitler in the 1930s and Obama's actions since he has been president. Von Campe was born in Germany in 1925. He is a former Hitler Youth and is now 85 years old. (see: http://www.yourisraelconnection.org/hilmar_von_campe.htm). He "witnessed first hand the terrible consequences of self deception and lack of character in his country's leadership. He saw the world plunged into war and his nation and family destroyed" and is author of the book "Defeating the Totalitarian Lie: A Former Hitler Youth Warns America," He recently wrote:
"It is an American custom of the day to assign the label 'Nazi' to any ideological opponent. Those who know very little about Naziism are more closely related to the National Socialists than to our Founding Fathers. Nazis are not fascists but belong to global socialism, a section of the radical left. I grew up during the Nazi regime, and the following are some current developments that remind me of that time.
"The Nazi intent was to throw God out of society. The Gestapo was posted outside church doors trying to intimidate us. Christians were told by the Nazis that we could pray and sing hymns in our homes and churches, but the rules and control of society were the exclusive responsibility of the state, that is, the German National Socialist Workers Party alone. Here, the White House, Congress and the judiciary allow the ACLU to destroy the fundamentals of our founding."
I am 81 years old, was born in the United States and, like Hilmar, I also am seeing frightening similarities in what is happening now and what I saw happen as a child and teen-ager before and during World War II. Most frightening to me is that, apparently, the younger generation has never been taught what socialism IS and what happened because of socialist leaders, like Adolf Hitler in Germany and Benito Mussolini in Italy who convinced the people of their nations that socialistic government was the solution to their problems. A key goal of socialism, as defined in the Communist Manifesto, was the destruction of marriage and the family.
Von Campe spoke of the "consequences of deception" that marked his youth in Hitler's Germany. Many today in the USA seem to be feeling that they were victims of deception when they voted for Barack Obama and when he signed bills that basically socialized American Health care, the banking industry and US General Motors. That, in turn, reminds me of the 24th Chapter of Matthew (http://scriptures.lds.org/en/matt/24) in which, in answer to a question from his Disciples, Jesus described what would take place before his Second Coming. Jesus said: "Take heed that no man deceive you." Most of the rest of that chapter deals with various forms of deception ... all of which seem to have become quite common!
The Democratic Socialists of America (http://www.dsausa.org/pdf/widemsoc.pdf) tell us "democracy and socialism go hand in hand. All over the world, whenever the idea of democracy has taken root the vision of socialism has taken root as well — everywhere but the United States."
That is a true statement — except, a lot of socialism HAS taken root in America. In his Communist Manifesto (http://www.anu.edu.au/polsci/marx/classics/manifesto.html) Karl Marx wrote: "We have seen... that the first step in the revolution by the working class is to raise the proletariat to the position of the ruling class, to establish democracy. The proletariat will use its political supremacy to wrest by degrees all capital from the bourgeoisie; to centralize all of instruments of production in the hands of the state."
The US Constitution in Art. 4 Sec 4 guarantees a REPUBLICAN form of government in every state. Yet, the Alpine, Utah School Board (http://www.alpine.k12.ut.us/phpApps/genericPage.php?pdid=2789 mission statement is: "Educating all students to ensure the future of our democracy" not the future of our republic. In fact, the school board has flatly refused to use the word Republic. Of course, thanks to that kind of teaching, many people today refer to America as a "democracy" not as a "republic." Most Americans don't seem to know the difference in the two words or why the founding father tried to make sure, in writing our Constitution, that this nation would never deteriorate into a democracy, which they believed was one step before anarchy.
After reading candidate Barack Obama's "Blueprint for Change" in March of 2008, I wrote an article entitled: "It Isn't Obama's Race, But His Socialism and Defeatism That Are His Problems." Most readers thought I was too harsh in that article. (see: http://www.bannerofliberty.com/BOL-2008MQC/3-19-2008.1.html ) I, on the other hand, have been astounded at how quickly he and the current Democratic Congress have socialized large segments of our economy — health care, banks, automobile companies, etc.
It appears that many people around the country are waking up to the critical situation we are now in. The Constitution really is hanging by a thread. On the other hand, one by one most of Karl Max's goals in the Communist Manifesto either already have been achieved in the USA, or are on some political agenda to implement. Those goals are:
1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. (being implemented by many foreclosures by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac currently)
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. (achieved by XVI Amendment to the Constitution 1913)
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance. (Planned by Obama's Blueprint for Change)
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly. (Obama's nearly acheieved this by taking control of banks and student loans)
6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.(On Obama's agenda)
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan. (Partially implemented by Obama)
8. Equal liability of all to work. (Partially planned by Obama Citizen Ccrps). Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country. (Largely implemented)
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, &c, &c. (Accomplished)
