"As many as 7 million Ukrainians were starved in Soviet Socialist dictator Joseph Stalin's artificial, forced famine in Ukraine in 1932 and 1933. This is approximately the total population of Manitoba, Newfoundland, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island." (Inky Mark, M. P. Dauphin — Swan River House of Commons 2 June 1998, Famine-Genocide in Ukraine 1932-1933)

"Moscow employed the famine as a political weapon against the Ukrainians in the years 1932-1933. The famine was in its entirety artificially induced and organized." (ibid, F. M. Pigido -an economist who lived and worked in Ukraine during the Famine of 1932-1933, Investigation of Communist Takeover and Occupation of the Non-Russian Nations of the U.S.S.R p. 35)

"... On one side, millions of starving peasants, their bodies often swollen from lack of food; on the other, soldiers, members of the GPU carrying out the instructions of the dictatorship of the proletariat. They had gone over the country like a swarm of locusts and taken away everything edible; they had shot or exiled thousands of peasants, sometimes whole villages; they had reduced some of the most fertile land in the world to a melancholy desert." (ibid, Malcolm Muggeridge, British foreign correspondent, "War on the Peasants," Fortnightly Review, 1 May, 1933)

"Food is a weapon." (ibid, Maxim Litvinov — Soviet Commissar of Foreign Affairs)

According to the authors of "The Black Book of Communism," Communist regimes did not just commit criminal acts but were criminal enterprises in their very essence:

"...all ruled lawlessly and without regard for human life (and) one particular feature of many Communist regimes (was) their use of famine as a weapon. The Bolsheviks had decided to eliminate...any challenge or resistance, even if passive, to their absolute power. This strategy applied not only to groups with opposing political views, but also to such social groups as the nobility, the middle class, the intelligentsia...the clergy...military officers and the police." (pp. xvii, 8-9)

Marxist Communists systematically stole the personal property of Russians, confiscated and sexually perverted their children, desecrated and blasphemed churches, crucified thousands of nuns and priests and in general, committed monstrous crimes against humanity which took the lives of sixty-million men, women, and children. For example:

"About 200,000 clergy, many crucified, scalped and otherwise tortured, were killed during the approximately 60 years of communist rule in the former Soviet Union, a Russian commission reported this week. In addition, another 500,000 religious figures were persecuted and 40,000 churches destroyed in the period from 1922 to 1980, the report said. Half the country's mosques and more than half the synagogues were also destroyed" Clergymen were crucified on churches' holy gates, shot, scalped [and] strangled," said Alexander Yakovlev, head of the Commission for the Rehabilitation of the Victims of Political Repression. The commission prepared the report for Russian President Boris Yeltsin. "I was especially shocked by accounts of priests turned into columns of ice in winter," Yakovlev said. "It was total cruelty." How many died in all? Estimates vary from a low of 160,000,000 to a high of 300,000,000 men, women and children worked to death, burned in ovens, gassed, starved, shot, knifed, electrocuted, tortured to death, hung, crucified, and cruelly murdered in many other ways.

The Ottoman massacre of one and a half million Armenians in WWI and the Rwandan and Sudanese massacres that during the 1990s took the lives of nearly three million people bookend the 20th century as the most monstrously evil century in all history.

The full horror and magnitude of modern evil is overwhelming and made more so by the realization that ordinary human beings either looked the other way or were active participants. It was ordinary human beings who were willing conduits of the lie, who compromised with evil by building and manning the ovens and gas chambers, torturing helpless victims, and enforcing the mass starvation of Ukrainians. It was ordinary human beings who in one way or another executed millions of fellow human beings.

After returning from Rwanda following the massacre in 1994, U.S. ambassador Robert Seiple said:

"There are no categories to express such horror...Someone used the word 'bestiality' — no, that dishonors the beasts. Animals kill for food, not for pleasure. They kill one or two prey at a time, not a million for no reason at all." (Unspeakable, Os Guinness, p. 37)

In great part modern 'secularized' Westerners and Americans have thrown off all moral restraints. They have unshackled themselves from their own sin nature and now view themselves as 'born good.' Even more troubling: they adhere to the view of "new" pagan materialist determinists who place blame for evil on external sources — genetics, social and environmental factors and chemical imbalances. This self-deceiving view of evil bears little if any difference from the view held by 20th century Communist mass-murderers — the materialist determinists who saw themselves as good and animalized 'others' as useless weeds or hominids worthy only of annihilation.

In light of the West's ominous moral decline, Jonathan Glover concludes in his magisterial moral history of the 20th century, "Humanity" that,

"...even those who do not believe in a religious moral law should be troubled by its fading." (Guinness, p. 43)

Prior to being thrown into the man-made earthly hell known as the Gulag, ex-atheist Alexander Solzhenitsyn believed that man is born good. The extreme suffering, unrelenting fear, sadistic cruelty and other demonic horrors he experienced firsthand and witnessed daily woke him up to the reality that evil resides in all human beings, none barred. Having survived many long years in hell, Solzhenitsyn — now a great Christian prophet — said,

"Gradually it was disclosed to me that the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either — but right through every human heart — and through all human hearts. This line shifts. Inside us, it oscillates with the years. And even within hearts overwhelmed by evil, one small bridgehead of good is retained. And even in the best of all hearts, there remains ... an unuprooted small corner of evil.

Since then I have come to understand the truth of all the religions of the world: They struggle with the evil inside a human being (inside every human being). It is impossible to expel evil from the world in its entirety, but it is possible to constrict it within each person
." (Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago 1918-1956)

The Biblical view of evil is defined by three essential everyday sources of evil and suffering. These are our bodies, nature with its droughts, hurricanes, tsunamis, and other blights, and human beings themselves.

Seeds of evil exist within every human being hence the great probability of human evil is always with us in this world:

"A wicked will is the cause of all evil. If the will were in accord with its nature, it would never act against it and thereby be wicked. It follows that the root of evil is just this: "Not being in accord with nature." (St. Augustine, On Freedom of the Will, 3.17.167)

When men wittingly or unwittingly think, speak, and act as though they are God they are not in accord with their own created nature, hence they lie, deceive, lust after power, live profligate lives and treat other human beings with disrespect:

"Humans are injured, laid waste and oppressed. By whom is this done? Certainly not by lions or serpents or scorpions. It is done by other humans." (Augustine, Sermon 311,8.8, in "Day by Day with Saint Augustine, Donald X. Burt, pp. 52-53)

When not in accord with their own nature, men are infected with the sickness of pride, covetousness, sloth, gluttony, greed, dark fantasies, paranoia, hate and even thoughts of murder, and desiring their own way they lust for the power to control and dominate other human beings:

"Such pride is rightly understood as the 'seat of pestilence' because a pestilence is an epidemic which has spread widely and overwhelms nearly all people. The lust for power is like such a pestilence because there is hardly anyone who does not love wielding power or who does not long for human glory." Commentary on Psalm 1, 1, ibid. Donald X. Burt, p. 188)

In an essay entitled, "Heaven Help Us!" Stephen Stone, president of Renew America, realistically describes our culture as spiritually sick. Epidemic immorality, godlessness, and narcissism permeate American culture said Stone. http://www.renewamerica.com/analysis/stone/121103

For America to be so spiritually sick vast numbers of our citizens must no longer be living in accord with their own created nature, and as a consequence are infected by,

".....carnal desire or a lust for earthly power or the delightful madness of some showy spectacle. They love such temporal things and seek their happiness in them. They pursue the earthy objects of their desire wherever they lead and fear anyone who seems to have the power to take them away." (On True Religion, 38, 39, Burt, p. 30)

In light of this harsh reality, Stone asks:

"Does anyone really think the outcome of this election can negate, or neutralize, the decades of accumulating national sins that have brought us to the brink of material and moral disintegration as a country?"

But many voters nevertheless ignore the reality of America's deep moral corruption said Stone, and blithely think their vote (one way or another) is a determining factor in our nation's future. Worse, they close their minds and turn their eyes away from Romney's woeful track record as governor.

Stone points out that throughout his public life Mitt has shown himself to lack the kind of principled, God-respecting integrity we sorely need in our elected leaders. Instead, he's repeatedly shown poor judgment, even assenting to unmistakable evil. For example:

1. Promising the gay lobby when he ran for governor of Massachusetts in 2002 that he would advance their agenda in exchange for their support.

2. Following through with the above promise and instituting same-sex marriage in his state by executive order — with no authority or mandate to do so — claiming he "had no choice" since the state's Supreme Judicial Court had directed the legislature to change the law to allow gay couples to marry. After the legislature balked, Mitt took it upon himself to order his subordinates to grant licenses to same-sex couples, violating state law, which even today does not allow same-sex marriage.

3. Mitt's longstanding support for gay scoutmasters and gay participants in the Boy Scouts, despite the predictable, corrupting outcome such a policy would encourage.

4. Exploiting bipartisan support for government-mandated healthcare in Massachusetts and pushing through the nation's most controlling socialized medicine scheme — which became the impetus and inspiration for Obamacare a few years later, complete with Mitt's "individual mandate."

5. Signing "Romneycare" into law, knowing it would result in taxpayer-funded abortions.

Though he currently postures himself as conservative, by his own admission Mitt is a "progressive," another word for socialist. Earlier Fabian socialists advised an incremental, step-by-step approach to the undermining and ultimate radical transformation of America. This is the method used by Romney as governor of Massachusetts.

Whether sudden and violent or slow and incremental it leads inevitably to totalitarian communism, the goal of New World Order global 'elites' — a criminal banker-corporatist consortium calling the shots and pulling the strings from where they stand deep in the shadows.

Harvard and Princeton professor emeritus Dr. Carroll Quigley, who confessed to being an insider and confidant of the consortium, was professor of history at the Foreign Service School of Georgetown University as well as mentor to Bill Clinton. In his opus, "Tragedy and Hope: A History of Our Time" (1966) Quigley deliberately reveals one of the worlds' best kept secrets: the existence of a gigantic leviathan of political and economic power poised to seize control of the planet.

Quigley's 1300-page book exposed the existence of a vast interlocking network of insider power groups controlling and directing the strange downward-spiraling descent of America in conjunction with an attempt to manipulate a world socialist order.

In an impeccably researched essay, "Ascendancy of a Financial Criminal Elite," Prof. James Petras takes up where Quigley left off. Petras unmasks the consortium, revealing them as the super wealthy of America and Europe:

"Never in the history of the United States have we witnessed crimes committed on the scale and scope of the present day by both private and state elites.....the super-wealthy and their families have as much as $32 trillion (USD) of hidden assets in offshore tax havens, representing up to $280 billion in lost income tax revenue! This study excluded such non-financial assets as real estate, precious metals, jewels, yachts, race horses, luxury vehicles and so on. Of the $32 trillion in hidden assets, $23 trillion is held by the super-rich of North America and Europe."

Petras reports the super wealthy mainly consist of an elite consortium of global corporatists and bankers:

"England's leading banks, including Barclay's and a host of others, have been identified as having rigged the LIBOR, or inter-bank lending rate, for years in order to maximize profits. The Bank of New York, JP Morgan, HSBC, Wachovia and Citibank are among scores of banks, which have been charged with laundering drug money and other illicit funds according to investigations from the US Senate Banking Committees. Multi-national corporations receive federal bailout funds and tax exemptions and then, in violation of publicized agreements with the government, relocate plants and jobs in Asia and Mexico." http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-ascendancy-of-a-criminal-financial-elite

For all of these reasons and more Stone strongly believes that whether we vote for Obama or Romney,

".....either way, we lose our liberties, our constitutional republic, and any hope of a just and desirable future for our children. The end is slavery, no matter the means. Worse, it makes us complicit in our own demise — having voted for it — and thus less worthy of God's intervention as things deteriorate.....Much has been said that characterizes this election as a "choice between two evils," of which diligent voters are encouraged to select the "lesser" in the interest of sparing our nation imminent destruction. Part of the rationale is sound: we're definitely poised to self-destruct in all sorts of ways. But as we've already shown, the rest of the rationale is illogical: in a contest between two evils, no matter who you pick, you lose, if the goal is to "save our nation."

Stone advises professing Christians, conservatives and ethical citizens to:

".... ban from their minds any thought that voting in favor of the "lesser of two evils" is somehow right or defensible, for this simple reason: By voting for the lesser of two evils, they're using the self-same rationalization that underlies and enables communism and most other evils in the first place — the belief that the "end justifies the means. Such thinking justifies doing something wrong if it promises to achieve something "right" — a logical fallacy that's sinful in the sight of God and allows unimaginable mischief and mayhem. It ultimately doesn't work, nor can it be defended by God-fearing people."

Stone's moral stand resonates with Solzhenitsyn's hard-won wisdom. Rather than polluting your conscience by voting for the lesser of two evils:

"... resolve to live your life with integrity. Let your credo be this: Let the lie come into the world, let it even triumph. But not through me."

Live your life with integrity. Seek truth and righteousness. Remember always that the meaning of earthly existence lies not in worldly pursuits as we have grown used to thinking,

"..... but in the development of the soul." (Solzhenitsyn, Cancer Ward)

This world of evil and suffering is passing away. It is not our home:

"....the present world will neither continue forever nor will it be destroyed and replaced by a totally new one. Instead it will be cleansed of sin and re-created, reborn, renewed, made whole. While the kingdom of God is first planted spiritually in human hearts, the future blessedness is not to be spiritualized. Biblical hope, rooted in incarnation and resurrection, is creational, this-worldy, visible, physical, bodily hope. The rebirth of human beings is completed in the glorious rebirth of all creation, the New Jerusalem whose architect and builder is God himself." (Herman Bavinck, "The Last Things")

Keeping this in mind, do not take part in the lie though people may shun you, accuse you of negativity, persecute and hate you; do not waver, stand firmly on the rock of truth and righteousness and do not compromise with evil in any way Never, ever keep silent about evil:

"In keeping silent about evil, in burying it so deep within us that no sign of it appears on the surface, we are implanting it, and it will rise up a thousand fold in the future. When we neither punish nor reproach evildoers, we are not simply protecting their trivial old age, we are thereby ripping the foundations of justice from beneath new generations." (Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago 1918-1956)
