Lately, the Homeland Security Department is a busy place. Coinciding with the release of a series of "If You See Something, Say Something" public service announcements starring actors that look nothing like those responsible for the majority of terrorist activity here in the US, both Obama and Janet Napolitano are on red alert and deeply concerned about "Lone Wolf" terrorism.

"Big Sis" Janet Napolitano is back to warning Americans to be on the lookout for "right wing extremists" such as military war veterans, pro-life activists, and anyone who prefers smaller government. In conjunction with the "White People with Bombs" video, the Department of Homeland Security released a bulletin that listed several examples of potential terrorists, including last month's thwarted plot by a US soldier to launch an assault in Fort Hood, Texas and the July attack by — you guessed it — a "right-wing extremist in Norway" who slaughtered dozens of innocent children.

In the 2009 unclassified government report entitled "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," the DHS warned that "prolonged economic downturn — including real estate foreclosures, unemployment, and an inability to obtain credit — could create a fertile recruiting environment for rightwing extremists." However, to date, exactly zero unemployed pro-life Iraqi war veterans living in foreclosed homes have taken to the streets armed with AK-47s.

Oddly enough, as concerned as the administration is about stopping lone individuals dressed in business suits removing luggage from the trunks of city cabs, neither Obama nor Napolitano have addressed the growing issue of roving gangs of teenagers on city streets terrorizing innocent people.

Therefore, it's clear that President Obama is relatively unconcerned with violent flash mobs, terrorists sneaking across the open border, homegrown Muslim extremism in the US, Iraqi and Mexican drug rings in California, or guns in the hands of Mexican drug cartels provided by misguided sting operations. Instead, after his vacation, Barack Obama plans to focus like a laser on the economy, jobs, and attractive Caucasian women carrying designer handbags harboring nefarious plans to place bombs in train stations.

In a recent CNN interview, Obama shared:

The risk that we're especially concerned over right now is the lone wolf terrorist, somebody with a single weapon being able to carry out wide-scale massacres of the sort that we saw in Norway recently. You know, when you have one person who is deranged or driven by a hateful ideology, they can do a lot of damage, and it's a lot harder to trace those lone wolf operators.

With all due respect, tracing "a single weapon" isn't all that hard if you have a plan. For example, the President could propose a modified version of the "Fast and Furious" method of tracking lone wolves, wherein potential terrorists are tracked after being allowed to load bombs into vans and possibly killing a few Americans, and are then apprehended and brought to justice.

And while kids at a Norwegian youth camp being slaughtered by a lone wolf is a tragedy of epic proportions, one would never guess from the "See Something Say Something" PSA that right here in America, 3,098 people have died at the hands of radical Muslim extremists.

So, with lone wolves and the 2012 election in mind, at the behest of Hispanic activists and Dream Act Democrats, on the cusp of the 10th anniversary of 9-11 Obama decided it was the perfect time to circumvent Congress and blow off the Constitution. After having "failed in the legislative process," the President informally granted amnesty to millions of illegals, some of whom may be in the United States without the best of intentions.

Against the wishes of the majority of Americans who go to school, serve in the military, and care for the nation by working hard and paying taxes, the President decided that illegals and their children should be granted amnesty on a "case-by-case basis" for attending school, having family in the military, and caring for older parents who unlawfully smuggled them over the border.

As far as serving in the military goes, Obama should make up his mind. If the DHS is correct that military service is criteria for amnesty and that ex-military men and women are potential "right-wing" extremists, then granting amnesty based on military service could be cultivating the type of "right-wing terrorism" he's trying to avoid. Lord knows being around all those southern redneck Rummy Dummy types is what likely pushed Ft. Hood-stationed/"Allahu Akbar"-screaming Nidal Hasan and pressure cooker/gunpowder bomb-building Muslim Pfc. Naser Abdo into "right wing"-style terrorism.

Like President Obama, "Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat who earlier this year wrote asking Homeland Security to exempt illegal immigrant students from deportation, said the move will free up immigration courts to handle cases involving serious criminals."

Reid would like Americans to concentrate on more pressing issues, and to exempt students like the studious but apparently late-blooming high school student, 19-year-old Hosam Maher Husein Smadi. In the country illegally after his student visa expired, Mr. Smadi was arrested after placing a "vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (V BIED) in an SUV he had parked in the basement of [a] 60-story Dallas office tower." Then there's scholarly University of Memphis student Mahmoud Maawad, an Egyptian arrested in 2005 after being found with a pilot's uniform and a map of Memphis International Airport.

And there is the issue of illegal immigrants just looking to settle in the US in hopes of contributing something of value to American society, such as hard-line Muslim cleric Said Jaziri. Said was "banned from entering France and Canada after calling for the death of the Danish cartoonist, who drew images of the prophet Mohammed, Kurt Westergaard." Discovered entering the US during a routine border check, cleric Jaziri was stuffed into a Mexican BMW wanting only to be taken to a "safe place anywhere in the US."

Thus, thanks to Barack Obama, well-behaved Muslim extremists who manage to sneak over the border in car trunks are in a great position to eventually be granted amnesty. Rather than recognizing and addressing real-world threats, the President suggests scanning crowds for blond-haired terrorists, hunting down phantom lone wolves, and issuing public service announcements warning the country about right-wing extremists — all the while being personally responsible for endangering the safety and well-being of every American by being guilty himself of seeing, saying, and doing the wrong things, all the time.
