"To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men" Abraham Lincoln

When the Rush Limbaugh/Sandra Fluke story broke, the non-stop media hysteria made it seem as though Limbaugh had attempted to butcher Fluke. However, enter a story about an abortionist ghoul actually butchering 100 babies just born, and you can hear a pin drop. The very same major television networks that went ballistic over the Newton shooting, where innocent lives were butchered by a crazed ghoul, somehow find it much easier to stay composed when a monster practically decapitates scores of just or nearly born infants. Despite horrific testimony as to the truly gruesome details of Pennsylvania abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell's house of horrors in his murder trial now nearing a month in session, none of the three major networks has even mentioned the trial, and both The Washington Post and The New York Times have pretended that the story either does not exist or carries the same importance as a fluff piece on the lions in front of the Riverdale Public Library. One ad accurately proclaimed that had Gosnell butchered puppies instead, the story would be front page news.

The hypocrisy, of course, lies in the fact that the horrific Newton shooting and the gun control battle that has ensued are pounded non-stop by a media whose apparent mission statement is to serve as propaganda parrots for the Left. These so-called journalists rattle off the despicable horror resulting in the senseless murder of innocents who this Administration continually reminds us had their whole lives ahead of them while adding that "if there is a step we can take that will save even one child from what happened in Newton, we should take that step." One then wonders why this Administration, its party, and their pet media refuse to take any steps to acknowledge, much less stem, the kind of horror that happened in Gosnell's torture chamber, which former staffers described as raining fetuses and blood. The simple answer, of course, is that this triumvirate of hypocrisy are only appalled by horrors that fit their agenda. If a crazed doctor, better yet, an insane Republican or Pro-life protestor, had gone on a killing spree mutilating innocents, these three would be slipping on their own saliva trampling to be on that horror like white on rice. However, make the ghoul an abortionist, aka a saintly foot soldier of women's right to an abortion, and the victims just born or unborn abortion targets, and these three are nowhere to be found.

The cowardice, of course, lies in the fact that this trio are too afraid to confront the reality that their sacred abortion agenda might just have plenty of holes in its armor. If their argument had two cents of validity and righteousness, they would boldly and aggressively jam it in the face of any and all such disputes and debates. As it is, Kermit Gosnell and the scores of murderous ghouls like him who snip infants' spinal cords while joking about their victims, are not exactly poster children for the abortion rhetoric and spew. This trio rants on and on about innocent lives lost, about our beautiful children, yet shut their mouths when the innocent lives and the young involved are on the wrong side of being wanted on an abortionist's table. Truth be told, it is difficult, if not unnecessary, to discern where the hypocrisy ends and the cowardice begins.

I do not know when it happened but, somewhere along the way, this society and the people presently running and reporting on it became so brazenly arrogant, delusional, hypocritical, and cowardly that they discarded the notion that any justification need be rational, consistent, believable, and even remotely moral to be valid. I personally cannot look at any of the members of this trio without seeing a low-rent used car salesperson trying to sell me an obvious piece of junk he is calling a fine vehicle.

We have a media and leadership gleefully standing by as Christians are called hate extremists, abortion is treated like a dental procedure, and abortionists are depicted as messiahs of womanhood. That media and leadership then waste no opportunity to manipulate, wail, and howl their noble protest in support of their pet causes, conveniently and blatantly ignoring or trivializing any horror that does not fit their script.

Some may say that it is a shame on us if we've forgotten the horrors of the past. I agree completely with that statement. However, I will add that it is likewise a despicable disgrace and shame if we champion remembering the horrors of the past while conveniently, hypocritically, and cowardly ignoring the continuing horrors of the present, just because they do not fit our tidy political and social agendas, too closely resemble our own ideologies, or reveal the utter depravity of our positions.

I beg this leadership and its pet media to spare me the spectacle of waxing poetic about innocence lost to depravity while remaining silent about the Gosnell trial or similar horrors. I have had my fill of hypocrites and cowards to last ten lifetimes, if you please.
