Unborn children are more official in the White House than in the womb!

In case you have not heard everything, then take a seat and listen to this beauty. The Obama Administration, without a doubt the most pro-abortion government which this nation has ever seen, frequent friend and host to such abortion luminaries as Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards, NARAL head Nancy Keenan, and George Tiller groupie Kathleen Sebelius, has just turned rational thought and common sense on its head by giving unborn children more recognition in the White House than in the womb. Hurry, hurry, step right in and witness how the ridiculous is sold right before our eyes.

Denying Personhood a Key Pro-Abortion Tactic

One of the pro-abortion lobby's favorite arguments is that an unborn child is not a person. This lobby fights tooth and nail to deny the personhood of unborn children because it knows that such a status can only hurt its cause and strengthen the argument that unborn children deserve basic human rights and are not something between a ball of cells and a tooth. As an Illinois senator, Obama voted against a state version of the federal Born-Alive Act making it illegal to kill a child who is fully born during an attempted abortion. http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/166906/obama-and-born-alive-act/yuval-levin Simply put, Obama believes that once a woman decides to abort her child, that child will not be saved even if he or she is fully born during that attempted abortion. The deciding factor in the child's fate, then, is not whether or not he or she is actually born but, rather, whether he or she is actually wanted in the first place, born or not. In a sense, the unborn child is ultimately denied official status as a person by a combination of his desirability, location, and physical characteristics. Tragically, history teaches us that other human beings have been systematically denied personhood and eliminated for very similar reasons.

Denying Personhood a Historical Tactic for Evil

Brilliant scholars have longed recognized that societies' self-stated right to define certain classes of human beings as non-human lies at the core of justifying every evil from slavery, genocide, massacres, to abortion. http://www.williamgairdner.com/abortion-and-slavery/ Abraham Lincoln, our greatest president, argued in his debates with Douglas that it is fundamentally wrong, and against our Constitution, to disqualify the rights of a given human being based on some physical characteristic. http://www.str.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=5630 The last time I checked, being unborn is a physical characteristic.

Twisted Effort to Distract Real Link Between Slavery and Abortion

The arguments used by others against the comparison between abortion and slavery are as weak and hypocritical as they are shallow, often based on the notion that the pro-choice position is really about discriminating against women more than somehow discriminating against "something" which is neither counted in the national population nor capable of being counted as a dependent for tax purposes! This idea that the pro-life position is about malice and disrespect toward women is inherently absurd in light of the pro-abortion lobby's denial of the plausible link between abortion and breast cancer, http://abortionbreastcancer.com/ and the hypocritical failure of pro-choice forces to condemn forced abortions in China and so-called Islamic honor killings of women which, the last time I checked, seem a bit malicious, disrespectful, and discriminatory against women in their own right!

Unborn Children Officially Counted by White House Tour Security System

Despite the pro-abortion lobby's denial of the personhood of unborn children, The White House has recently issued written instructions on how Americans visiting the White House must register their unborn children at the start of these tours. The Director of the White House Visitor's Office, Ellie Shafer, recently distributed an email newsletter to members of Congress and others providing detailed instructions on how to register an unborn child, which Shafer describes as " a baby that has not yet been born." http://www.lifenews.com/2012/05/08/white-house-abortion-ok-but-visitors-must-register-unborn-children/

The irony is clear. If, as many pro-abortion forces claim, an unborn fetus is not even a child nor a baby worthy of any sort of consideration or recognition, then how can the White House bother to count said unborn as an official "visitor" of the White House? If a visitor comes in a wheel chair, is that chair counted as a visitor? If a woman visits the White House, are her teeth, appendix, or fingernails counted as visitors? Of course not on all counts, so why and how can an unborn child be counted as a visitor if, as pro-abortion forces pathetically claim, said unborn children are not even persons?

The full email in question reads as follows:

We have received a number of calls regarding how to enter security information for a baby that has not yet been born.

Crazy as it may sound, you MUST include the baby in the overall count of guests in the tour. It's an easy process.

LAST NAME: The family's last name
  • FIRST NAME: "Baby" as a first name

  • MIDDLE NAME: NMN as in No Middle Name

  • DOB: Use the date you are submitting the request to us as their birthday

  • GENDER: if the parents know put that gender down if not, you can enter either M or F as we'll ask you to update it at the time of birth

  • SOCIAL: As they will not have a SSN and are under 18, you will not need to enter this field. Again if the spreadsheet asked for a social enter 9 zero's (not the word nine zeros but 000000000 and yes it happens!)

  • CITIZEN/CITY/STATE: The citizen, city and state should be entered the same as the parents
If an unborn child is not officially a person until birth, then how can the date of submission of the form be his or her birthday? If a person becomes a person only at birth, then how can said person already have a gender before birth to be confirmed at birth...do cell clumps have gender? Finally, if an unborn child is not a person, then how can said child have any citizenship, city, or state status before birth?

Douglas Johnson, National Right to Life's legislative director, commented on the juxtaposition between the White House visitor log policy and its abortion policy.

"It is ironic that President Obama's staff recognizes the existence of unborn babies for purposes of providing security within the White House — yet, there is no indication that President Obama has any problem with the fact that throughout the District of Columbia, abortion is now legal for any reason up to the moment of birth," http://www.lifenews.com/2012/05/08/white-house-abortion-ok-but-visitors-must-register-unborn-children/

Conclusion

Pro-Life supporters have always recognized the logical absurdity of the pro-abortion position and its various twisted arguments. They have also long noted the striking and tragic similarities between the arguments historically used to defend slavery, genocide, and other evils and those used in support of abortion.

Two consistent contentions raised by pro-abortion supporters in defense of abortion are that abortion is really about discrimination and disrespect of women and that, in any case, the unborn are not even persons. The Left's misogyny claim is patently absurd in light of the fact that many women oppose abortion, that the Left itself ignores or minimizes many substantiated physical and psychological harms caused by abortion, and that the Left likewise ignores evils inflicted on women such as forced abortions in China and honor killings in Islamic societies and communities. If the Left truly cared about women and if its pro-abortion position was truly about choice as it claims, it would vehemently oppose the above evils against women as passionately as it defends the right of women to have abortions while mocking and attacking, you guessed it, women who happen to oppose their position.

Finally, if, as pro-abortion forces claim, the unborn are not persons, then why is the very pro-abortion White House officially recognizing unborn children as individuals to be counted as visitors? Would the White House oppose any systematic elimination of an entire class of official White House visitors subsequent to their visit? Of course not! Then, why does the White House not only condone, but actually strongly support, the systematic elimination of the very same unborn visitors which it deems acceptable to recognize just months or weeks before?

Those looking for any logic in this situation would do well to rest their efforts, for history tells us that tyranny and oppression often make up with absurdity what they lack in logic. At the end of the day, the abortion argument is a circus; complete with clowns, acrobats, tightrope walkers, and jugglers whose sole purpose is to suspend logic, peddle fantasy, and treat farce as fact.
