God: babies are a blessing; Obama: babies are a curse

On the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, President Obama said one of the most stupendously immoral things a president has ever said. He said that unless women kill their babies in the womb they cannot realize their destiny.

After referring to abortion as a "fundamental constitutional right" — it's not — he went on to pledge that he would "continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams."

The meaning here is clear. Our sons can't have babies, so babies cannot be an obstacle in their path to accomplishing meaningful goals in life. Our daughters, however, are not so fortunate. They have been cursed with wombs and the capacity to bear children, and this sad, unfortunate twist of fate is a tragic roadblock that condemns them to meaningless, empty and unfulfilled lives. Unless, of course, they can kill the babies that stand in their way.

The president's statement is not only heartless and frighteningly cruel, it makes abundantly clear that our choice in November will be between an incumbent who has flatly rejected a biblical worldview of life and morality and a challenger who we hope will bring a Judeo-Christian value system with him into the Oval Office.

Our incumbent president is pro-death. His challenger must be pro-life.

President Obama, of course, famously said having a baby is like being thrown into prison. This is what he meant when he said he did not want his daughters "punished with a baby."

This is not just a secular view of women and the remarkable gift God has given them to be incubators of life, it is positively pagan.

And it is as far removed from the Judeo-Christian view of child-bearing as the east is from the west. The Bible says, in Psalm 127:3, "Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward."

So here's the bottom line. In President Obama's eyes, babies are a "punishment." In God's eyes, babies are a "reward."

That is the difference between good and evil, light and darkness, morality and immorality.

European nations are already in the midst of a fatal and irreversible demographic winter. Fertility rates have been below replacement levels for so long that they will never recover. They have resorted to admitting a tidal wave of Muslim aliens into their countries to make up for their vanishing children, and the result is a catastrophic unraveling of European civilization and the Balkanizing of one nation after another.

Russia and Japan face the same bleak futures. Russia's population is shrinking to tune of 750,000 a year. In fact, Foreign Policy magazine predicts that, because of the precipitous decline in birthrates, the last Japanese baby will be born by the end of this millennium. After the year 2959, there will be no more Japanese born anywhere in the world. They will simply disappear from the earth like the Hittites.

This is the difference between a prosperous, strong and vigorous future for America and one that is dying, dessicated, and weak.

God's first instructions to Adam and Eve were to "be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth." In other words, babies are not impediments but in fact central to fulfilling our divine purposes.

The New Testament explicitly declares that women "will be saved through childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control" (1 Timothy 2:15).

While commentators may differ on the precise meaning of some of the terms in this verse, clearly it indicates that, for the vast majority of women, children are a source of enrichment and a central part of realizing her calling in life.

Children, in other words, are an indispensable part of a woman's destiny. Contrary to the inhumane philosophy of our current president, a woman's dreams and her mission in life are fulfilled through bearing children, not killing them in the womb.
