TRUE COLORS: Beginning of the end of "representative" government? (Wisconsin update)

"I sit on a man's back, choking him and making him carry me, and yet assure myself and others that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his lot by all means — except by getting off his back." — Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910)

UNION THUGS ARE "ASSURING" US THAT THEY ARE ONLY FIGHTING FOR THE "MIDDLE CLASS." HUH? Wisconsin teachers make an average of $10,000 per month of actual work, while I make about that much in a year — while paying about one month's income in SCHOOL taxes?? And the teachers want MORE??

The approximately $90,000 per year teacher income includes insurance and pension "money" that is actually nonexistent because the state of Wisconsin simply won't have the money to write the checks. The ironical thing is that if the unions prevail and force Governor Walker and the local school boards to lay off ten percent of the teachers, "seniority" will prevail and younger teachers will be the ones laid off — which will actually raise the statistical "average" salary for Wisconsin teachers!

"Walker, Taxes Ranger" obviously passed all his math classes. I'm not sure the same can be said about the teachers and the flash mob of UW "students" who re-trashed the capitol building Wednesday night — about 7,000 of them. Some of them were admitted through windows by Democrat legislative staffs while others tried to remove hinges from capitol doors, or were admitted by those who crawled through the windows. It is uncertain as of Thursday morning whether the legislature will be able to do any business at all today. And it was Democrat legislators in CHICAGO who issued the call for the flash mob.

These "university" students are the worst nightmare for WEAC's "Great Schools" PR campaign. Most Wisconsin taxpayers wouldn't be able to afford the UW tuition, let alone be certain of affording next year's property tax bills. Which is why I moved out of Wisconsin nine years ago. If the state government can be shut down by students barely old enough to vote and many from out-of-state, many more businesses and taxpayers will be moving to others states as well.

When a madman who read Karl Marx and Hitler killed a Republican judge and wounded an Arizona congresswoman, Americans were given look-down-the-nose lectures on "civil discourse" and "civility," right? Look how far we have fallen in a few weeks (while the Ft. Hood shooter has yet to go on trial). If we have become a banana "republic," who is our Evita? Michelle Obama?

Senator Oboma ran on a platform of healing the world and "uniting the country," but that may have been the furthest thing from his mind. I suspect that he's laughing all the way to the Federal Reserve Bank. You know: divide et impera ["divide and rule" or "divide and conquer"].

"Laws are like cobwebs, which may catch small flies, but let wasps and hornets break through." — Jonathan Swift (1667-1745)

The Prez has already brazenly ignored some laws without replacing them (as with the Defense of Marriage Act) and accepting payoffs and kickbacks from entities wanting "exceptions from the rule" (ObomaCare). His administration has also simply stopped enforcing laws against Border invasion from the South. They happily let the HORnets break through. Ends justify the means. "If they bring a knife, we bring a gun." Funny thing is, the federales are even letting guns cross the border — southward.

Capitol Chaos: Lawmakers Get Death Threats

By Jon Byman

Story Updated: Mar 10, 2011

MADISON — The State Department of Justice confirms that it is investigating several death threats against a number of lawmakers in response to the legislature's move to strip employees of ['MANY'] collective bargaining rights. Among the threats the Justice Department is investigationg is one that was emailed to Republican Senators Wednesday night. Newsradio 620 WTMJ has obtained that email.

The following is the unedited email:

Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your familes will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks. Please explain to them that this is because if we get rid of you and your families then it will save the rights of 300,000 people and also be able to close the deficit that you have created. I hope you have a good time in hell. Read below for more information on possible scenarios in which you will die.

WE want to make this perfectly clear. Because of your actions today and in the past couple of weeks I and the group of people that are working with me have decided that we've had enough. We feel that you and the people that support the dictator have to die. We have tried many other ways of dealing with your corruption but you have taken things too far and we will not stand for it any longer. So, this is how it's going to happen: I as well as many others know where you and your family live, it's a matter of public records. We have all planned to assult you by arriving at your house and putting a nice little bullet in your head. However, we decided that we wouldn't leave it there. We also have decided that this may not be enough to send the message to you since you are so "high" on Koch and have decided that you are now going to single handedly make this a dictatorship instead of a demorcratic process. So we have also built several bombs that we have placed in various locations around the areas in which we know that you frequent. This includes, your house, your car, the state capitol, and well I won't tell you all of them because that's just no fun. Since we know that you are not smart enough to figure out why this is happening to you we have decided to make it perfectly clear to you. If you and your goonies feel that it's necessary to strip the rights of 300,000 people and ruin their lives, making them unable to feed, clothe, and provide the necessities to their families and themselves then We Will "get rid of" (in which I mean kill) you. Please understand that this does not include the heroic Rep. Senator that risked everything to go aganist what you and your goonies wanted him to do. We feel that it's worth our lives to do this, because we would be saving the lives of 300,000 people. Please make your peace with God as soon as possible and say goodbye to your loved ones we will not wait any longer. YOU WILL DIE!!!!

After the Tucson shooting, someone said "Sarah Palin has blood on her hands." What will the "news" media say about these threats (which authorities are taking seriously)? The print and broadcast media have been throwing fuel on the fire by claiming that Governor Walker wants to "take away most collective bargaining rights" — or simply, "take away THE right to bargain." This is a psy-ops or disinformation war that would have made the KGB proud. Stubborness and stupidity over mathematics. Emotion over substance. "Whatever it takes." Flat-out lie if necessary.

Today's Milwaukee Journal "Sentinel" [barf] has a bold front page headline saying:

- DEMOCRATS BYPASSED; Republicans advance bill curbing most collective bargaining -

The Menominee-Marinette Eagle-Herald has a headline that says:

"Collective bargaining shot down"!

That's the union LINE and they're sticking to it. The union I once belonged to even called their member-publication "THE LINE." Very funny, eh?

The mainstream "journalists" must spend their spare time listening to FM radio like the "students" at the University of Wisconsin. It should go without saying that FM radio doesn't do much more informing than NPR (which stands for Non-existent Public Relations). It's ironic that — like NPR — the University of Wisconsin system will soon be lobbying the (shut down) legislature for more booty from the lower-middle class, saying that if we don't raise wages the professors might move to California or something. I say that's unlikely (given that state's bankrupt condition). But no matter which direction they move, I say don't let the door hit you on the way out. Don't slip on Governor Walker's welcome mat on your way outa Dodgeville.

Governor Doyle and the former legislature rammed through billion dollar spending bills in the middle of the night without hearings. Now the Dems complain about a Senate vote "in the dark of night" (NOT — it was live on the six o'clock news). We shall see if nice-guy Walker can play the same kind of hard ball Doyle played.

P.S. Coach Al McGuire once said that if people worked six months as a bar tender and six months as a cab driver, they would really be educated. My barber came up with a good point last week, something I hadn't given much thought to.

To today's teachers tout "self-esteem" and consider themselves the "creme de la creme" (therefore deserving every penny that they can shake out of our pockets). I'm behind on paying my school taxes myself, but as my barber was saying, back in the 1940s or so, the best and the brightest women (at least those who weren't tied down to farming) went into nursing and teaching.

Now, the best and the brightest go into law, medicine, and executive positions in business!

IT IS A RULE OF PSYCHOLOGY THAT THOSE WHO HAVE THE MOST EXAGGERATED SENSE OF THEIR OWN IMPORTANCE ARE THE MOST "INSULTED" BY ANYONE WHO BEGS TO DIFFER.

PPS: If teen-aged school marms could teach kids well in the 1800s, and average homemakers could teach kids two languages in the 1700s, today's college-educated teachers — you'd think — could teach kids how to read, but they are failing to do so!

Jonathan Swift

The Wisconsin Education Association Council should be ashamed.
