Planned Parenthood sings the blues
By Judie Brown
When Planned Parenthood's nefarious practices are exposed, it pushes back.
One never knows what might come next from the nation's leading proponent of abortion, but this one really takes the cake.
On January 14, Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, tweeted: "Planned Parenthood & our CA affiliates today filed a lawsuit against the people behind widely discredited video smear campaign."
This signals the beginning of a legal battle with The Center for Medical Progress, the investigative reporting organization that has shed light on the gruesome practices Planned Parenthood has been engaging in for years. CMP produced a series of well-documented video exposés that caused such a stir that Congress is currently investigating the abortion giant. Planned Parenthood is accusing CMP of conspiracy, claiming that the videos were heavily edited, raising the suspicion that perhaps the videos were in some way doctored to serve a different purpose than telling the truth. This sort of whining is preposterous, of course, but Planned Parenthood claims "it has lost business, seen vendors cancel contracts, made it tougher to hire staff and led to threats against the network's clinics, with harassment complaints spiking 900 percent in July 2015. The organization also cited the November shooting at a clinic in Colorado Springs, in which a gunman killed three people and injured nine others."
Therein lies the rub. The maniacal acts of a single shooter in Colorado Springs have no relationship whatsoever to the pro-life movement, including CMP. But facts have never been a concern to Planned Parenthood, so why start now?
CMP itself has even issued a statement and a set of questions that Planned Parenthood has never answered, though it appears to have the wherewithal to sue CMP!
The Center for Medical Progress statement on the lawsuit says, in part, "This last-ditch move of desperation is going to expose all of the sordid dealings of the California Planned Parenthood affiliates to the light of the legal system and the public will see them for the corrupt abortion and baby body parts profiteers that they really are."
Now that CMP has been sued, it will have the legal right to look into the honest answers to each of the questions Planned Parenthood has failed to answer, as CMP will have the right of discovery. And surely the public will be amazed and horrified to learn the answers to these queries:
I daresay God Himself would be the only One I would fear at a time like this, but then again, it is clear that Planned Parenthood's gods are legion. And we all know what that means.

Now that CMP has been sued, it will have the legal right to look into the honest answers to each of the questions Planned Parenthood has failed to answer, as CMP will have the right of discovery. And surely the public will be amazed and horrified to learn the answers to these queries:
- How much money total did Planned Parenthood receive from StemExpress from 2010 to 2015?
- Why is Planned Parenthood's senior director of medical services talking about manipulating fetuses to breech position to get better organs?
- Why did a Planned Parenthood medical director endorse a StemExpress advertisement for "financial profits" from fetal tissue donation if Planned Parenthood does not support profiting from fetal tissue?
- Since the president of the Medical Directors' Council said "we didn't really have to do anything" when letting Novogenix Laboratories, LLC harvest fetal tissue, why did Novogenix pay Planned Parenthood?
I daresay God Himself would be the only One I would fear at a time like this, but then again, it is clear that Planned Parenthood's gods are legion. And we all know what that means.
