When you have no ideas, just curse and pout

President Donald Trump’s historic election to a second term thrilled Republicans, but it shattered the fragile reality Democrats had fabricated. The Democrat Media Complex worked overtime to convince Americans Trump was bad, and that Kamala Harris was good and she would win. The problem was only Democrats guzzled that Kool-Aid, so Democrats were stunned and stupefied when Trump won. They are still reeling.

When Democrats realized there were no more ballots to be found, they immediately began their resistance to a Trump Administration. There was no honeymoon. Like the Harris campaign, the only platform they have is “orange man bad.” As Trump noted in his address to Congress, there is nothing he can do to gain Democrat support, so their vitriolic resistance feels more like rebellion. And that rebellion just feels petty because it’s all about personality and nothing about policy.

The party out of power is rightly expected to assume the mantle of the loyal opposition, so no one expects Democrats to simply support all of Trump’s agenda. A viable opposition is vital to keeping the party in power honest and introducing new or other ideas, but so far Democrats have been disingenuous and have no new ideas, or at least no good ideas.

Further, they don’t seem to support any ideas or policies, at least not any policies popular with Americans. Secure border? Stop illegal immigration? Peace in Ukraine? Ban boys from playing girls’ sports? All these ideas have majority support from voters, often 60-80%, but Democrats fiercely fight all these policies apparently just because Trump supports them.

Trump has used this blind crazed obsession to oppose everything Trump to politically checkmate Democrats. He has embraced and endorsed common sense policies overwhelmingly supported by Americans, so Democrats have nowhere to go. Even if they agree on an issue to some degree, they are stuck in vociferous opposition, because they are sworn to stake out only positions opposite to Trump. They have shut themselves out of sane discourse.

Sadly, Democrat intransigence to basically anything Trump was on full display during his address to Congress. Again, no one expects Democrats to embrace the MAGA agenda, but why can’t they show condolent respect for families who have tragically lost daughters? Why not clap for a young man who lost his father have his dream for an appointment to Westpoint come true? Who does not cheer for a courageous young boy heroically fighting cancer? It was not a good look.

With no academic arguments or rational responses to Trump, Democrats have nothing but raw unhinged emotions to oppose Trump, so Democrats are now routinely prone to insane nonsensical uncontrolled outbursts. Sometimes they sing silly protest songs badly, but they increasingly resort to just cursing. They seem to have a running competition on who can drop the most F-bombs; and almost every Democrat senator posted a video reciting the same script beginning with the profane slang for feces.

Swearing may be somewhat colorful in some scenarios, but cursing like yelling typically means you have no valid argument. Whether singing or swearing, Democrat opposition is also lost in gratuitous unnecessary vulgarity. Most of their criticism is just ad hominem attacks, but too often perhaps for shock effect, Democrats engage crude depraved antics. A deranged “trans” singer at a Bernie Sanders rally was so beyond foul that his lyrics should never be repeated, but every voter should know what Democrats embrace. Anyone with a shred of decency who reads the disgusting lyrics will NEVER vote Democrat again.

In general, Democrats only respond to Trump the person not his policies, but one particular issue makes all Democrats apoplectic – the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Fully transparent, Elon Musk and his nerd minions post on the DOGE website all the fraud, waste, and abuse they uncover, so why oppose auditing the government and rooting out waste? Many have known, but DOGE will prove that most Democrat funding comes from laundered federal funds. Democrats are panicking because DOGE is an existential threat to their political activities being funded by taxpayers; and more than a few are nervous about public monies they pocketed.

Democrats are obviously out of ideas, so they can only curse and pout. After misleading and swindling Americans for years, watching Democrats’ self-inflicted debacle is entertaining and somewhat satisfying, but our Republic needs genuine competition of ideas and vigorous debate. We need viable political parties with reasonable ideas and rational scrutiny to ensure the best policies are chosen and implemented.

One party rule, regardless of party eventually devolves into stagnation at best and corruption at worst. America needs a reformed Democrat party to contribute with better ideas and compete with sane viable candidates, or we will need a new opposition party.

“In all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility” (Titus 2:7).
