Tom Hoefling is a long-time conservative political activist.
In 2000 and 2008, he served as Alan Keyes' national political director.
Tom founded America's Party in 2008, and in 2012 ran as the party's presidential nominee.
In the 2012 election, he was on the ballot in California, Colorado, and Florida. He was also filed as a qualified write-in candidate in a majority of the other states.
In the general election, he came in 8th nationally out of 27 candidates who were on the ballot in at least one state, according to the FEC.
Tom is running again in 2016 as the presidential nominee of America's Party.
In December 2013, Tom announced his bid for the Republican nomination for Governor of Iowa in the 2014 election. He lost the nomination to incumbent Republican governor Terry Branstad.
In November of 2015, he was recognized by NewsMax as one of the 100 most influential pro-life leaders in America.
He and his wife Siena live in Iowa and have nine children.
