Will Obama's opposition let him divide and conquer?
By Michael Gaynor
Bottom line: Obama must not be re-elected.
Dividing and conquering is a strategy to maintain power by breaking up larger concentrations of power into chunks that individually have less power than the one implementing the strategy.
Team Obama realizes that most voters don't approve of his performance as President yet approve of him personally.
So Obama will try to win re-election by dividing and conquering and posing as a person of good character.
Jonathan Alter helped out with an astonishing article titled "The Obama Miracle, a White House Free of Scandal." See www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2011/10/28/bloomberg_articlesLTQZU10D9L35.DTL#ixzz1ca8pbus4.
Alter opened: "President Barack Obama goes into the 2012 with a weak economy that may doom his reelection. But he has one asset that hasn't received much attention: He's honest."
Honest Barack?
Doesn't Alter realize that Obama blatantly lied about his relationship with ACORN in the last presidential debate and that his carefully controlled campaign illicitly coordinated with Project Vote, a key part of what ACORN founder Wade Rathke calls "the ACORN family of organizations"?
Did Alter ignore Michelle Malkin's Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Cronies" and J. Christian Adams' Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department?
Team Obama is delighted with divided opposition.
"Radio Patriot" is upset with the Politico story about confidential settlements made after two unidentified woman claimed that Herman Cain had sexually harassed them.
I'm upset that this is a distraction that only helps Obama, now packaged as the candidate with good character.
I'm also upset that Cain was so poorly prepared to deal with the matter and contradicted himself. He initially said he wasn't aware of a settlement and then said he was aware of an agreement. Charles Krauthammer, no Obama supporter, called that Clintonian, and rightly so.
"Radio Patriot" views what's been going on as "pretty simple":
"Black Race mongers like Jesse, Al, et al do not want a successful, conservative Black man ascending to the presidency. They know that even the dumbest of clucks will see Herman Cain as living proof that blacks CAN succeed without government plantation handouts.
"The GOP ruling elite don¡¯t want to see Herman Cain elected president either because they know he¡¯ll overturn their tables in the Temple. They have a vested interest in protecting their status quo, and Mitt Romney will do that for them. He¡¯s their boy, the one they promised the crown to in the deal they negotiated to abandon his 2008 campaign for John McCain.
"So Herman Cain MUST BE DESTROYED. MUST. BE. DESTROYED.
"Bottom line: This is a battle between the Tea Party movement and the establishment ¨Cthe Black entitlement class and the Elite ruling class. Plain and simple.
"I don¡¯t know how this will turn out. But I do know that we do NOT want Mitt Romney to be 2012¡äs version of John McCain for our candidate."
Team Obama has to be thrilled with that attitude.
Reality: there is no perfect candidate.
Politics is the art of the possible.
Bush was imperfect, but he was better than Gore and Kerry and appointed two great Supreme Court Justices, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito.
Imperfect McCain was far better than Obama, because he was no stealth socialist.
Tragically, Obama fooled enough voters to win.
Bottom line: Obama must not be re-elected.
Romney obviously is much better than the stealth socialist in the White House and he's the strongest candidate the Republican Party can nominate.
Destroying Romney because Politico targeted Cain would be giving Team Obama what it craves and destroying America.
The Far Left will continue to help Obama appear centrist by criticizing him and then back him on Election Day 2012.
Obama will win only if a significant part of the Obama opposition tantrums and allows the perfect to become the enemy of the good.
UNlike Obama, Romney really does NOT have a character problem. He is best prepared to be President on Day One and to do what must be done: reverse the stealth socialist progress Team Obama has made.
