For years now, leftist Democrats and media have been crowing about their sanctuary cities and scolding anyone that points out the cruel exploitation of illegal migrants and obvious burden on average Americans. Ignoring all the barbaric abuses of the hapless illegal aliens, they swear open borders is a humane policy. The cartels make gobs of money mistreating the desperate hordes while their henchmen rape, rob, and murder them, but leftists can’t be bothered because they never see the human carnage in those irrelevant Border States.

Similarly, leftists like to brag about their compassion with sanctuary cities because the illegal invaders are thrust upon the common people. It’s the lower and middle class neighborhoods that suffer the increased crime and inconveniences of housing thousands without employment or resources. The desperation and suffering is far from the uptown restaurants where shallow leftists toast themselves and their self-deluded superior morality.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have been exposing the leftist hypocrisy by bussing illegal migrants from overwhelmed red states to the self-proclaimed blue sanctuary cities. Blue city mayors grumbled about having to live up to their sanctuary city claims, but it was only an inconvenience to their lowly subjects. Therefore, the red state political stunts only turned into a war of words with blue states just hurling insults, but when DeSantis shipped about 50 illegal migrants to the playground of the rich and famous, all that fake compassion vanished immediately.

Virtue signaling about illegal migrants is easy until they showed up in Martha’s Vineyard; and then stunned elite leftists breathlessly declared a “humanitarian crisis” over 50 people when some tiny border towns absorb thousands daily. The rich irony is that the good people of Martha’s Vineyards have been demanding more foreign workers to clean their toilets for years, but when just a few of the unwashed masses arrived, the welcome mat was pulled in.

The sheer hypocrisy of the leftist affluent class was amusing but also pathetic. Those poor illegal migrants were promptly removed from the posh island to a military base in Cape Cod. A Martha’s Vineyard official asserted a housing shortage; in short, there was no room at the inn. Like all expensive resort areas, there is a lack of worker housing, but at the end of the season, vacation rentals are plentiful. There are also myriad massive mansions that can accommodate hundreds if not thousands as the wealthy leave after the summer, but NO one offered their extravagant summer homes in a genuine gesture of hospitality! No, they expect the commoners to deal with the illegal rabble.

Progressive press and pundits are highly critical of Abbott and DeSantis for using the illegal migrants as political pawns, but never mind that destructive Democrat policies lure unsuspecting poor people into the clutches of the cartels. Democrats refuse to deal with immigration maturely or secure the border because they want to foster chaos in red states and fervently hope these illegal throngs will tip the electorate blue. As usual, Democrats accuse Republicans of the cynical manipulations they have perfected.

The border states have been utterly over run by this incredible illegal invasion. Resources have been stretched thin if not exhausted. Border counties and towns are being bankrupted and illegal migrants exploited, but Democrats and the media do not care. The border has been a growing humanitarian crisis since Biden took office, but Biden and his Border Czar do nothing because they hope it benefits Democrats. The media ignores the devastation, so Abbott and Desantis are only trying to bring the growing crisis into the public realm and hopefully get blue states to also feel the pain and thereby join them in demanding Biden do his job and secure the border!

While Abbott’s and DeSantis’ political maneuvering is bold, brilliant, and has been somewhat effective, it will not make the media recognize the border crisis nor will it force Biden to act. They simply do not care. The wretched illegal migrants are indeed political pawns in the Democrat’s sinister scheme to create chaos and recruit Democrat voters, and average Americans just have to suffer as Democrats try to overwhelm our systems while they try to consolidate power in irresistible one party rule.

The Democrat Media Complex will excuse their contemptuous expediency and ignore the absolutely disastrous illegal immigration crisis and persistent invasion on our border because they support the socialist totalitarian designs of leftist Democrats. The Biden Administration is failing miserably, but they will not relent because they are hoping to mortally wound our Constitutional Republic before the clock runs out at the midterm elections.

The American people are strong and our republic resilient, but we will likely not survive another two years of Biden’s unbridled lurch over the leftist brink. The American people must turn out to vote out every Democrat and restrain the Biden Administration’s deleterious policies.

“You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye” (Matthew 7:5).
