For Santorum, pro life matters in 2012
By Kevin Fobbs
Santorum is a candidate whose pro life beliefs are a rallying cry for Americans who deeply believe in the principles of protecting life and who value biblical teachings that are paramount to our nation's fundamental foundational building blocks.
Some political pundits may be calling Santorum's meteoric rise from last place to a nail-biting literal tie in the Iowa caucuses as a miraculous fluke. Yet I choose to believe that it is God calling the nation's attention to a man whose love for God's principles is a wonderful testament to what matter of man he truly can be as President.
So compare that to the Obama blame train that came wandering through Cleveland on Wednesday. Here, the president kept pointing fingers at Congressional inaction, just as he has before, pointed fingers at former President Bush for Obama's own inability to just do his job as president and ..Guess what, be a leader and not chief whiner-in-chief. President Obama would rather call on government for the answer instead of calling on God as President Lincoln did in times of crisis and Senator Rick Santorum does for inspired guidance.
In Cleveland, the president did more to showcase the stark differences between himself and Santorum, where the president chose to restate what has gone wrong over his last three years, than to be like Santorum who stated what will go right if you lead with biblical conviction and trust the tenacity and strength of the American spirit.
The president continues to rely on Washington solutions that promote more and more regulation, rather than breaking down barriers to create more jobs in the heartlands of America. Santorum stands for the principles of life, because it is the protection of life that is the foundation of our nation, and not pandering to those who gain a political advantage by ignoring life.
Obama in Cleveland was like using a boxing partner that the boxer keeps punching, until the punching partner; battered, bleeding, withered and fallen to his knees, is expected to come rallying back, just to take another beating. Well, Obama's style of audacity of hope has left Cleveland and every other American city and family also battered and struggling to survive. In 2012 America needs a conservative answer, a pro-life answer before a re-election of Obama, will deliver a devastating knockout punch to America.
