Planned Parenthood's predator problem

I have nothing but contempt for Planned Parenthood and all that it stands for. Not that I believe every person associated with the abortion giant is evil — some are simply misguided and need our prayers (and, praise Jesus, Abby Johnson has converted to the pro-life movement) — but Planned Parenthood's agenda is definitely evil.

One of my favorite pro-life organizations is Life Dynamics, headed by veteran activist Mark Crutcher. Crutcher has a recent blog post heavily excerpted below (see his full commentary by clicking here):

'When Americans hear the term 'organized crime,' it is unlikely that names like Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation leap to their minds.

    Maybe they should.

'In the last few weeks, the pro-life group Live Action released the results of an undercover sting operation they conducted in which they identified several Planned Parenthood offices that were willing to help a 'pimp' conceal the fact that he was trafficking underage girls into the U.S. from other countries to work in the sex trade. Naturally, Planned Parenthood's damage control gurus immediately sprung into action and tried to paint this as the 'regrettable' actions of a few rogue employees and, to make the point, they throw the miscreants under the bus with a swift dismissal. But the question is: Are these people really the exception?

'As many of you may remember, at Life Dynamics we did an undercover investigation in 2002 by calling over 850 Planned Parenthood and National Abortion Federation facilities across America. Our caller was a young woman portraying a 13-year-old who was pregnant by her 22-year-old boyfriend. Her story was that she and her boyfriend needed an abortion in order to keep this sexual activity a secret from her parents and the police....

'By the time our investigation was completed, we had an admission by agents of almost every Planned Parenthood and National Abortion Federation facility in America that they are willing — and in many cases eager — to conceal a sexual crime that was being committed against a 13-year-old child. Toward that end, the caller was given step-by-step instructions on how to circumvent state laws that were enacted for the sole purpose of protecting children in situations exactly like this. Moreover, the manner in which they handled these calls made it obvious that this is something they do routinely and several of these abortion clinic workers even volunteered statements to that effect....

'The bottom line is, our investigation proved beyond any doubt that Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation are nothing less than corporate pedophiles who knowingly protect men who rape underage girls. Not only are these people engaged in organized crime, they are involved in the largest criminal enterprise in American history and their victims are children.

'Recently, a case in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, reinforced the importance of this issue. According to documents released by the Department of Justice, 66-year-old George Joseph England went to Vietnam where he bought — that's right, bought! — a 3-year-old child from her mother and immediately turned this little girl into his personal sex slave. He eventually took her to live with him in California but, after being convicted of sexually assaulting three of her 10-year-old friends, he fled to Florida where the victim says England continued to rape her on an almost daily basis.

'At the age of 13, she got pregnant for the first time but, unfortunately, not the last. Court documents show that she was forced to undergo at least eight abortions over the next five years. Then, at the age of 18, she told a neighbor what was going on and, finally, the authorities were brought in. England is now expected to spend the rest of his miserable life in prison.

'But the problem is that there are other criminals who were directly responsible for the ongoing rape of this child who are not in jail. Let me be as clear about this as I can. The people at the abortion clinics where these abortions took place are every bit as guilty for what happened to that girl as is this pervert who is now rotting in prison. If they had complied with their state's mandatory reporting laws, this situation would have ended at least five years earlier. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The George Joseph Englands of this world have no greater ally than the American abortion lobby. If there is one thing that this country's sexual predators understand, it is that the people down at Planned Parenthood know how to keep their mouths shut.

'I will also say this: If the authorities in Florida are not investigating the abortion clinics where this child was taken and bringing criminal indictments against those who did not comply with these mandatory reporting laws, these law enforcement people should also be dragged away in hand cuffs and leg irons. They are complicit, after the fact, in the rape of this child....'

Amen.

On a related note, the Catholic blogosphere has been engaging in a debate — and a healthy one, in my opinion — over the morality of Live Action's methods.
