This way of life we're bound upon

The Spanish city of Granada, famous for its Moorish Palace, the Alhambra, a very popular tourist attraction, is commonly regarded as the capital city of the Moors, whereas in actual fact the city was already inhabited by the Hebrews when the Moors entered the city. In point of fact the Jews of Granada can be traced back all the way to shortly after the destruction of the first Temple, and may indeed have been the founders of that city.
Moorish Spain is a term much used by historians and Muslims, yet the real truth is that Spain was historically the home of the Jews for more than 1200 years before the Moors reached Spanish shores. Quite rightly therefore, the term Jewish Spain is closer to historic truth than Moorish Spain, but hell will freeze over before the Spanish use it. Let's not forget that the 1492 expulsion targeted solely the Jews, the Moors were left in peace until a later date.
The recent influx of Muslims into Spanish culture, energized by the Zapatonto regime under the guise of a "law of return," with no requirement that Muslims prove their Spanish ancestry, is further evidence of Spanish anti-Zionism.
When the Israeli Military boarded the "Freedom Flotilla" and were met with pacifists brandishing broken bottles, iron bars, and slingshots, the Spanish government were first in the world to condemn Israel, a condemnation that was produced in complete ignorance, for no one at that time knew the facts, some facts are still unclear. Spanish Foreign Minister, and historic close friend of Yasser Arafat, Señor Morotantos, openly condemned Israel for their presumed evil act, and fell silent on the acts of the other side. Small wonder radical Islam choose Spain for their platform of hate.
I was informed two weeks back of a situation in Cartagena, Murcia, Spain, where a radical Muslim has become the scourge of the city. He enters Spanish carnicerías (butchers shops) and orders their owners to remove all pork products. He wanders around the city slapping Spanish women, ordering them to dress less provocatively. Finally the local authorities acted under people pressure and placed two cops on the loons tail. Nonetheless, his point is made, as is his mark, that sooner or later Spain will be forced to adopt sharia law.
Strangely enough, and history is my witness, is that Islam's present understanding of sharia law did not exist back in the time of the Moors of Granada. The Alhambra is full of living imagery, of birds, trees, fruits, lions, etc, art that the late 20th through 21st Century Islam forbids.
The burka in its present and strictest form did not exist during the time of the Moors either, mainly, I guess, because the Moors and the Arabs have nothing in common, much like the situation between Arabs and Berbers. The Berbers are most likely the remnants of the Moorish people. Some of my closest friends are Berbers, and I reckon that to search their family trees would find them trailing all the way back to Medieval Spain. The Israeli Law of Return should be applied here, and definitely should be the order of the day for Palestinians, for no one should have the right to deny someone their nationality and birthright save their genealogical records.
In the case of Israel they find a hostile enemy growing ever stronger, with claims to their God-given territory. Yasser Arafat headed the PLO and made those claims, in spite of the fact that he himself was Egyptian born to Egyptian parents. His genealogy was never questioned. Peace between the Arab nations and Israel is out of the question, and a direct contradiction of Biblical prophecy.
The ultimate prophecy should leave everyone cold, because the enemies of the future Messiah as He ushers His people into God's territory, are world-wide. The entire world becomes His enemy and sets out to destroy Him. Small wonder recent American Presidents have shown themselves to be anti-Zionists.

and their armies, gathered together to make war
against him that sat on the horse, and against his army."

I guess most Americans would perceive America as the odd one out of the world's nations that will wage war against God and His army. Most American Christians might possibly believe that America will remain God's ally right up to the last. Sadly this will not be the case, for spiritual rebellion takes place before the act of war.
To deny Israel its Biblical form and dimension is the first travesty, though I must point out that some of us regard the present State of Israel as man-made and secular. Its "democratic" condition is a stark contradiction to its intended form of Theocracy. The present State of Israel began, not through the guidance and influence of a Messiah, but rather through guilt, resultant of the holocaust engineered by the Third Reich. The authentic Zion is a future condition. Its present state is a poor imitation. Man-made laws in place of the Commandments.
Nevertheless, the borders of Israel remain Biblically irrefutable, and its enemies shall always remain as such until the dawn of their destruction. Peace, peace, and then a sword. Think not that I came to bring peace, but a sword. Division and destruction are key elements forming and encompassing the end of days.
Enemies of God, when speaking of the present, are those who directly or indirectly deny the efficacy of scripture. If they see Jerusalem as a twin capital city, they're enemies of God. If they believe peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians, or Philistines, is possible, they're denying scripture, ignoring prophecy, to thus become God's sworn enemies. It's that simple, and that grave.

That section in Dante's Inferno is where we're all headed. A time and place where darkness reigns and the right road has all but disappeared from sight. Like blind people expecting the blinder still to lead them on, the entire world moves in the wrong direction. Then when someone of light and vision points the way back, and invites them all to join him, murder is their first thought and war the second, on to the last.
