An "October Surprise" election question all Conservative news men and women should pose, and Senators and Representative should answer

What Obama is trying to do to the United States can be directly compared to the political and military objectives of the Soviet Union during the "Cold War"!

The Cold War, often dated from 1947–1991, was a sustained state of political and military tension between the powers of the Western world, led by the United States and its NATO allies, and the communist world, led by the Soviet Union and the eastern European countries it already occupied — often using Stalin's brutal secret police methods to suppress real and potential opposition.

What precipitated the Cold War was the Western world's perception that the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) or the Soviet Union, (a constitutionally socialist state ruled as a single-party state by the Communist Party) was in the process of expanding to all of Europe, Asia, and eventually worldwide.

The most dangerous USSR threat to the United States occurred during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 following the installation of nuclear-armed Soviet missiles on Cuba, just 90 miles from U.S. shores. At that time, America's military strength and it's peace-through-strength policies were essentially responsible for the removal of Soviet missiles — ending a 13-day political and military standoff that many feared put the world on the brink of nuclear war.

In the 1980s, under the formidable leadership of Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, Pope John Paul II and others, the United States and its staunch allies increased diplomatic, military, and economic pressures on the Soviet Union — notably at a time when the communist state was already suffering from economic bankruptcy.

In the mid-1980s, the new Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev introduced the liberalizing reforms of glasnost (1985) and perestroika (1987), opening the country and its satellite states to a mostly peaceful wave of revolutions culminating in 1991 the collapse of the Soviet Union. This left the United States the dominant World power.

An obvious lesson garnered from our "Cold War" experience — one that remains especially vital to us today — is the fact that for America to maintain our military world super-power status with the capability of warding off attacks from any external aggressor, we must maintain our world super-power economy.

While this "Cold War" experience assures us that possessing a world super-power economy protects us from aggression from external forces, we must forever be mindful of John Adams warning that "There are two ways to conquer and enslave a nation. One is by the sword. The other is by debt." This means that even a military super power that can stave off external aggression from any country, remains vulnerable to and can be enslaved by insiders controlling governments — the Roman Empire being a classic example.

Ignoring Adam's 1826 warning, sadly we are now witnessing the accumulation of the largest debt in history through reckless, scurrilous spending by the administration and its Congressional minions — actions bankrupting what had been America's world leading wealth status. Their actions are not only destroying the long-standing and sought after high quality American way of life, but they portend our complete annihilation by making us vulnerable to external enemies sworn to burying us!

Ironically, in 1959 Nikita Khrushchev predicted that this is exactly what would happen when he told Vice President Richard Nixon that the Soviets would not have to fight us but rather that we would be the cause of our own demise:

"You Americans are so gullible. No, you won't accept communism outright, but we'll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you'll finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won't fight you. We'll so weaken your economy until you'll fall like overripe fruit into our hands."

In assessing the gravity and the source of the threat our many ongoing crises pose, we are well advised to refer even farther back in history and heed this ominous warning from Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 BC)

"A nation can survive its fools, even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves against those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city . . . . A murderer is less to fear."

With skyrocketing gas prices, historic unemployment, burying the middle class with a $4300 loss of income, the erosion of America's credit worthiness, as well as the vitiation of our long-standing position as the World's largest economy and its most powerful nation, one might be perplexed and suspicious about Obama's role in these cataclysmic Nation-threatening crises.

Is Obama just another loyal politician with unorthodox views and policies? In the last four years, can the damage his actions have inflicted on us be attributed to his inexperience or incompetence — or is the growing chorus of voices correct in accusing Obama of shredding the Constitution and intentionally using and creating crises to destroy America's, free-market capitalistic democratic republic so that it can be transformed into a totalitarian Czar-driven socialistic state (at best), or a Marxist communist or an Islamic dictatorship (at worst)?

Does anyone believe that the majority of American citizens of either Democrat or Republican political persuasions would tolerate a Soviet, any other external state, being in a position to forcibly impose a Marxist Communist or Islamic rule on our beloved United States? Would not the majority regard as enemies any states who so attack us — and insist our military do everything in its power to prevent such a subjugation from happening? We certainly did this to our great advantage in ending the Cold War!

But as both John Adams and Cicero warn, an enemy at the gates is to be far less feared than a traitorous insider enemy who uses his freedom to be heard even to within the halls of government. Then, by appealing to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men, he rots the soul of a nation, causing dissension and hatred that pits its people against one another. All of which ultimately undermines the very pillars of a country.

Surely the stakes are so high, that the pivotal 2012 Election issue is the answer to the question of whether Obama is, or is not, an enemy of our Country employing Lenin's strategy to intentionally destroy our country as the means to achieve the "fundamental change" he promised to get elected.

My fellowmen, my countrymen — beware! The survival of the greatest and freest nation in history now faces a peril greater than it did during World Wars I and II. What can be done? Here is a suggestion.

Is not every Senator and Representative (Democrat, Republican and Independent), who swear to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against enemies — foreign and domestic" — obligated to fully investigate and "go on record" about their findings with regard to the truth of the horrifying possibilities Obama is planning?

Should not the citizenry, especially Tea Party constituents, rise up and demand that Congressional representatives come forth to declare their findings and their positions on whether or not Obama is a threat to the Constitution and America's, free-market capitalistic democratic republic?

And should not the very first question especially conservative newspersons ask of every elected or candidate Senator and Representative they interview be:

"In your judgment, is Obama committed to transforming America into a totalitarian socialistic state (at best), or a Marxist communist or an Islamic dictatorship form of government (at worst)?"

To date, instead of posing this all important question, what dominates even Conservative news and talk radio shows are such topics as the nuances and flaws of how polls are conducted, Joe Biden's gaffs, improper (but by comparison irrelevant) items like Reverend Wright's perversions, inappropriate White House invitees, the Weiner and other scandals, conservative candidate squabbles and other secondary issues — all the while Obama takes a wrecking-ball to the Country? Can you not see him gleefully rubbing his hands when precious media time is diverted from his malevolent deeds and spent instead on secondary matters?

It seems apparent that until now guidance from GOP Republican élites has been — in the name of civility — to prohibit blunt and plain speaking realistic assessments of Obama's scurrilous activities. Why? Apparently on the basis that such plain speaking talk statements and ads might lose "independent swing votes." (Two rousing videos by Bishop E.W. Jackson Messages to Black Christians and EXODUS NOW! Blacks,

Christians, Godly must leave the Democrat Party!!
and one by Lt. Gen. (Ret.) W.G. (Jerry) Boykin on Marxism in America are excellent examples of how effective plain-speaking, no-punches-withheld videos and public statements can be.)

Certainly using civility as an excuse for prohibiting public news media outlets from publishing plain speaking realistic and accurate assessments of the Japanese and German threats during World War II, would never have been proposed or accepted. And yet, that restriction is now being imposed even though we face an enemy far more treacherous than the Japanese and German threats — or any other threats we have ever faced.

Have we not had enough obfuscation and pussy-footing? Does not the survival of the World's largest economy and history's most powerful and freest nation demand a straightforward report from each of our representatives?

Is not a true understanding of the danger Obama poses to our country the fundamental and crucial deciding factor on which every patriotic American should cast his vote?

If the majority of senators and representatives conclude and reveal their conviction that Obama is intentionally subverting our Constitution and wrecking our economy, could not widespread late-breaking media events be scheduled resulting in an October Surprise that favors and enables a Conservative pro-American election victory?

What are we waiting for? Let's try it and get the answer now!!!
