The Unfairness Doctrine

Let's be honest about two major issues unfolding right before our eyes: The Fairness Doctrine is a blatant attempt to censor Conservatives. That's all it is. There isn't any valid argument against that fact. Liberals own the television airwaves, but because Liberals can't get anyone to listen to their radio shows, Conservatives currently own the radio airwaves. The intention of the Unfairness Doctrine is to destroy the Conservative talk show empire, which was built of the people, by the people, and for the people. I have to wonder, in America today, how a group of Socialists can openly declare war on Conservative talk radio without a majority of Americans burying their representatives in Washington in complaints, through email, phone calls and visits to their reps offices? Why no protests, like the homosexuals, PETA and the green crowd do so frequently over relatively nothing?

The other thing we must be honest about is that this supposed 'stimulus package' bailout is actually not intended to stimulate the economy as much as it's designed to change America's political structure into a Socialist system. That is obvious. (Andrew Longman documented it nicely here — 24% designated to stimulate the economy, 76% to set up Socialist programs).

Is it just me? Are Americans really still sitting on their hands, hoping things will get better while Socialists are busy setting up shop? But why are people still sitting on their couches watching Desperate Housewives while America is being stolen from us, right in front of our faces? The government is taking more than $1,000,000,000,000 — that's one TRILLION dollars — and intends to use it to put Socialism into place here in America, in order to make the masses dependent upon the government. Not only that, but they have already taken away our freedom of speech and will now silence the only arm of the media they do not currently control, the only effective voice of dissent against Socialism: Conservative talk radio. And they're doing it right out in the open, right in front of us, and we're not doing anything about it. Are we that apathetic that we won't even defend our nation any longer, even when the enemy is right here on our own soil?!?

If that is, indeed, the case — and it is — then perhaps we don't collectively deserve the rights and freedoms which stem from our beloved Constitution and Bill of Rights. Perhaps that's why they're being taken away: because we're letting someone take our rights away. In the America in which I grew up, if you didn't like White, Black, Asian, Chinese, German, Jewish, homosexual (fill in the blank) people, you had a right to stand on a street corner, hold a meeting somewhere, or write a letter to the editor and state exactly how you feel, without fear of being arrested. Sure, everyone would know you were racist, a bigot or a homophobe, but you had the right to express yourself in those days. How on Earth do you think the KKK and the NAACP came to be? They had a right to gather and express their feelings, regardless how bigoted or racist or wrong those thoughts and feelings were. I say "were" because we've had those rights stolen from us, and with your permission, not mine.

America, the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, formerly allowed freedom of thought, freedom to assemble, and freedom of speech when I was growing up here. Only recently have those rights been taken away, and they were taken away by Socialist shysters who conned you and your neighbors (in all fairness, they didn't con me or many who think like me) into thinking that freedom of speech is a bad thing. They conned those who are uninformed, ignorant, disinterested and/or so self-centered they couldn't see past the nose on their face, who were happy settling on just a crumb of information or on hearing just one side of an argument before they took sides and then voted to give up some of our most important rights. These Socialists believe that you aren't smart enough or capable enough to manage your own lives, and so they intend to manage your life for you. It seems, after the last election, that a majority of Americans agree with them. Now, Obama and the Socialist Democrats are about to kill Conservative talk radio while we sit home and watch American Idol and reruns of Barney Miller. The truth is that if liberal talk were of any interest to the masses, then liberal talk radio would be flourishing like their Conservative counterparts. Since no one is interested in liberal talk radio, Obama and his Socialist cabinet are going to try to force us all to listen by shoving the Fairness Doctrine down our throats. The goal, of course, isn't to force us to listen to liberals on the radio. The goal is to kill the Conservative talk radio empire.

Any lights going on yet? We've collectively put a man into the White House who is closer to 'Communist' than any president before him, and that's a fact. We're letting the government take our money and turn the United States of America into a Socialist country. Every single uninformed, misinformed, uneducated and/or ignorant person who voted for this man Obama, who most likely is ineligible for the presidency by birth, and unqualified by association, should be feeling totally ashamed right now. If this is you, then you get the credit for driving a stake through the heart of freedom in America. History will honor you as responsible for America's conversion from a free Republic to a Socialist state, no different than any other Socialist government.

The government is using our money to turn America into a Socialist country, and primarily because we are collectively too lazy to do our homework, America is about to cease to exist. Our only hope, I suspect, is that in the 2010 elections, we throw the Democrats out of the Senate and replace them with Independents and *cOuGh* Republicans, so that our new Senators and Representatives can rescind this supposed stimulus package while there is still 60% of our tax dollars still unspent (the stimulus plan is to spend the last 60% after 2010). My hope is that you'll take the time to research what is going on and stop listening to the liberal media. My suspicion is that you will not do that, and that America as we know it will cease to exist, and that you and I will have to get used to the government telling us whether or not we can get treated for cancer, whether or not we can get a loan or buy a home, what we can and cannot read or listen to, and that our streets will be patrolled by government forces who will be looking for those of us who dare to speak up or speak out. They can't have that, you know. Hence, the "Fairness Doctrine," which will shut down anyone who speaks badly about the almighty government.

But hey, let's look on the bright side. None of us will have to work hard for a living anymore. Sure, we won't get medical care if the government decides we're not worthy of it (see ya, elderly folks), and we've already lost our freedom of speech. But we can always just smoke the about-to-be-legalized fraudulent 'medical marijuana' and forget all our troubles. One of the effects of smoking pot is that pot makes people think everything's alright, even when it's not. You know, kind of like how many Americans seem to think right now.
