Policy change would gut Scouting oath

The 1400 members of the Boy Scouts' National Council will vote Thursday on a policy change that, if adopted, will allow out, loud and proud 17-year-old homosexuals to sleep next to your 11-year-old son in a tent. With no adult supervision whatsoever. Good luck with that.
While the policy change would still prohibit adult practitioners of the infamous crime against nature from serving as leaders, it would thrown open the doors of scouting to young homosexual men.
This change would eviscerate the Boy Scout oath, and render it meaningless.
The oath begins, "On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God..." Doing one's duty to God will be completely blown out of the tub by the suggested change. God has been quite clear from the moment of the creation of man that sex is designed only for the union of one man and one woman in marriage. He's never changed his mind, and he never will.
The "duty" we owe to God in sexual matters is plain: to reserve sexual energy exclusively for marriage.
And it turns out it doesn't matter which God you're talking about, the duty is the same. Whether you worship the God of the Jews, the Christians or the Muslims, the prohibition against homosexual behavior is unmistakable. Yahweh, the God who reveals himself in the Old Testament, calls homosexual behavior an "abomination" (along with "haughty eyes and a lying tongue," I might add).
The fully revealed Trinitarian God of the New Testament and hence of Christians describes instances of homosexual expression as "shameless acts" which endanger the bodies, souls and spirits of those who engage in them.
And while the Christian God wants homosexuals healed and helped, Allah, the god of Muslims, wants homosexuals put to death.
Thus the only refuge from God's standard of duty is to flee into atheism, but that, of course, takes you out of scouting altogether.
Another element of the oath that every Scout takes is "to keep myself physically strong." But homosexual behavior compromises human health and vigor. "Men who have sex with men" is the number one risk category for HIV/AIDS. The next highest behavioral risk is intravenous drug abuse, which tells us that homosexuality is a bigger threat to human health than shooting up. An extensive study of homosexuals in the UK revealed that, without aggressive and expensive antiretroviral treatments and lifestyle changes, gays will lose at least 11 years of life expectancy and many will fail to live past 55.
A Scout cannot "keep (himself) physically strong" and pursue the homosexual lifestyle. The two are mutually exclusive.
By definition, homosexual conduct is not "morally straight," the final component of the oath. Homosexual conduct is, by legal definition, "deviate sexual intercourse." It is "deviate" because it deviates from the path of sexual expression designed for man by God. It goes off-road into a trackless wilderness of loneliness, disease and early death.
There is, after all, a reason why even homosexuals call us "straight." The opposite of "straight," is, well, obvious.
If sodomy is normalized in the Boy Scouts of America, it not only will be a death sentence for the Scouts who get seduced into homosexuality, it will be the end of scouting in the United States. Canada's scouting organization made this change in the late 90s, and have since seen participation rates drop by a staggering 63%.
Since the great majority of Scout troops in America are sponsored by churches, that giant sucking sound you will hear will be the sounding of scouting families scooting out the door en masse for good.
Bottom line: sodomy is not a scouting value. Here's betting that Scout leaders will affirm that on Thursday.
