Left sets the standard: aberrant sex disqualifies you from public office
By Bryan Fischer
I have suggested on more than one occasion that a practicing homosexual should not serve in public office. This is for the simple reason that character is important qualification for public office, and sexual conduct is an essential component of character.
Homosexual behavior is aberrant sexual behavior. It is clearly contrary to "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God" to which Thomas Jefferson so eloquently referred in the Declaration of Independence.
Biblical passages such as Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, and 1 Timothy 1:8-11 make it abundantly clear what "Nature's God" thinks of homosexual behavior.
It is fundamentally immoral and pernicious, and puts homosexuals in the same category (according to 1 Timothy) as those who assault their parents, commit murder, are sexually promiscuous, engage in the slave trade, and lie under oath. 1 Corinthians adds adulterers, substance abusers, thieves and swindlers to the list to which homosexuals belong.
The "Laws of Nature" tell us the same thing. Homosexual sex is, as Paul puts it in Romans 1:26, "contrary to nature." It is clear that Nature did not intend for the human body to be used for gay sex. Simply and plainly put, the bodily orifice designed to eliminate waste was not designed for sexual use.
Because the wall lining the alimentary canal is just one cell thick, it is easily torn, thus giving bodily fluids and the infectious diseases they carry instant access to the blood stream. This is why there is such a prevalence of HIV/AIDs and all sorts of STDs in the homosexual population.
And of course it cannot lead to procreation. It is a tragedy when a married heterosexual couple cannot conceive; it is, on the other hand, biologically impossible for a homosexual couple to conceive a child.
This means that committed Darwinists should be even more ardently opposed to the normalization of homosexual behavior than people of faith, for the simple reason that evolution is all about the propagation of the species, which can't possibly happen when two gays have sex.
So both the laws of nature and the laws of God teach us that homosexual behavior never should be normalized, under any circumstances.
As far as disqualifying someone for public office, well, liberals have given us all the examples we need. Remember how they drummed Mark Foley out of office, because of explicit text messages he sent to House pages? Remember the constant drumbeat of liberal calls for Sen. Larry Craig's resignation when he was caught playing footsie with an undercover cop in a Minneapolis airport restroom? Remember the howls of outrage when Sen. David Vitter did not resign after getting busted for using a call girl service?
Liberals even supported the ouster of Eliot Spitzer when Client #9 got outed for spending untold thousands of dollars on assignations with a high-priced prostitute.
So when liberals complain when I say that Judge Walker and Elana Kagan are both disqualified for public service based on their aberrant sexual behavior, I say back to them, Hey, I'm just following your lead. Just taking your advice. If you think I'm wrong, I'll accept your criticism the moment you publicly apologize to Mark Foley and help him run his next campaign.
Until then, I'm just going to follow your example. Thanks for showing us the way.
