Sinful America -- is there no price to pay? Must a Muslim tell us this?

I once thought it was kind of a dumb saying that my father oft repeated when he said, "Nothing is free, and there is always a price to pay."

In fact, there are a few things that were actually totally free, but I noticed that most giveaways have little to no intrinsic value and are usually come-ons to put us in the neighborhood where something else would be offered that was anything, but free.

Americans love to say "Freedom is not free" but as we go further down the road into unbridled sexual licentiousness and liberal responses to moral standards we seem to be leaving freedom behind as we enter a free for all mentality. It has become apparent that even a free for all, is not totally free.

Even though the Bible clearly says that we will eventually get a return on any and all indiscretion, there is always a time factor involved. We don't plant today and reap tomorrow. It is often the time element, the misunderstood effect of homeostasis and a failure to properly project the outcome of our behavior personally and collectively that makes us victims of our own worst judgment.

This warning is often known, but men will take a chance anyway.

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." (Ga 6: 7)

Men will play the time card against the laws of reciprocation, but they always lose.

"Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil." (Ec 8: 11)

This error describes America today.

Is the ongoing judgment for sin a difficult theology to understand or just something we don't want to hear?

Most people know exactly what you mean when speaking of the final judgment, but when speaking of the ongoing judgment of sin in our world – they go numb. Those well-grounded in solid Biblical doctrine, alone have a clue.

Yet, the Bible offers much more than a clue, it is an entire full treatment and a promise that God will allow more calamity, natural disaster, terror, sickness, mental disorders, warfare and a plethora of other extreme difficulties in equal and direct proportion to our personal and collective patterns of sin. Nations do not escape and even that which is globally accepted in today's new morality will not go endlessly unchecked.

Some Christians think that since the advent of grace for the salvation of man that no Old Testament passages have weight. The mistake is not seeing that the terms for salvation have changed under grace, but the way God deals with our increasing sinfulness has not changed one iota. The promise of ongoing judgments as seen in the book of Deuteronomy is in force today.

The unbelievers become instantly indignant at the idea that God will send troubles to address our sin. They either think God is to aloof and distant to take part in our affairs, or he is just too loving and kindly to bring calamity on the human race. Both of these ideas are millions of miles from the truth.

In fact, now that we are supporting and taking pride in our sins, like abortion, homosexuality and transgenderism we will see far more serious and pervasive problems and consequences developing. Fear will grip our world as we approach the rise of antichrist.

Brexit, the Trump candidacy and any semblance of revival may be good signs; however, nothing but a complete national repentance will turn back the tide.

These promises are not from the Old Testament – they are a predicted part of our near future. Look around – because it has already begun.

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken." (Lu 21: 25-26)

The confusion in America is already beyond the pale as we tip toe around the cultish false religion of Islam, which proffers death and not life. We are more afraid to offend Muslims than we are to accept the offense of those who indiscriminately slaughter our own citizens. Our confusion is part of our sin sickness; it is the darkness entrapping a nation that now refuses the very God and Savior who gave us our great nation to begin with.

Don't what to hear it from our own messengers – then listen to the same message from one of theirs!

Make no mistake; this writer does not think Islam is one of the "three great religions" of our civilization. In fact, I believe it is one of those religions Christ spoke of when he said – "For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect." (Mr 13: 22)

Since we are loathe to hear Christ or his last days voices, what if the same message is spoken by the false prophets – would that wise us up?

Only one day after 50 people were slaughtered in Orlando by a raving Muslim screaming Allahu Akbar, a Muslim woman was seen screaming hatred against Americans at Los Angeles LAX airport.

In a tirade of hate speech, invective and F- America, she brought her rant to a conclusion with these words.

"If you want to be evil, then I (we) will show you what evil is."

Her words could not say more. While I love this country and will never side with her enemies, I find myself in total agreement with this woman.

Slaughtering 55 million babies, fostering the homosexual perversion, robbing the faith of God from our young and loving violence and sleaze are all very evil. The troubles these evils breed is the law of reciprocation in action.

While we try to stylize and polish our brand of evil – real evil is being cast right back into our faces.

God would have us to turn, and not to learn, this lesson the hard way.

How about it America?

"Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?" (Eze 18: 23)
