When American decline meets the 'day and night' factor

With thousands of sickly children streaming across our southern border, along with MS-13 gang members, terrorist infiltrators, drug runners and criminals of every kind – our Prevaricator in Chief decides to enjoy a game of pool with Colorado Governor Hickenlooper.

Those who were there in the mile high city were all – way up there, whether by location, high office or the all new and fully legalized – yes we can with cannabis.

With yet a two and a half year trek down the yellow brick road to Obama's Land of Oz, most Americans are growing weary of a president whose response to major crisis is to play the back nine at some golf club, send Michele off to Spain or play pool with a Colorado uber liberal down in the old bar.

Later on the same day, Wednesday July 9, 2014, in a rare show of humility that may be after all a rhetorical compliment to bolster the idea that Coloradans supposedly chose a winner, Mr. Obama told the crowds of sycophants' and adorers at Cheesman Park that he lost the game to governor Hickenlooper. Who cares?

Doesn't it follow that if two wrongs don't make a right – two losers can't make a winner? We have long since entered the stage in our decline where many 'winners' will actually become – the greatest losers.

What he would not admit is that he is losing almost everywhere else in his tenure as president. In fact, he chose to prevaricate, yet once more, with a claim that America is "better off" in almost every way than it was before he took office.

He proclaimed, "So despite what you may hear, there is no doubt we are making progress. By almost every measure, we are better off than when I took office – by almost every measure. But here's the thing – and this is why I've got to get out more and have lunch with – and pizza with my friends – because the fact is, we know we've still got a long way to go."

Asking anyone to believe we are better off must be preceded with "despite what you may hear," these days. Today, we must include, despite what we see and despite the facts and despite every semblance of honesty, integrity and reality itself. What world is this man living in?

In the unlikely event that you are inclined to believe Mr. Obama's hyperbole and lying consider this list called "Barack Hussein Obama: The Complete List of Scandals, Atrocities, Crimes, and Misdeeds" which only goes up to December of 2013. Anyone who watches the news even sparingly can fill in the blanks subsequent to December 2013.

We may be getting weary – but God is not

"Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength." (Isa 40: 28 -29)

Lord – give us some of that.

The hardest thing to convince Americans of is twofold. First, is the fact, that nothing, not politics, economics, academia, media and anything else we care to call upon will turn a nation around if it is willing to give up on God. All failure in individuals or nations is directly connected to our willingness to apostate.

Second, is finding a tangible and practical way to counter problems that for the moment look insurmountable if not hopeless.

Watching the daily news and ingesting new influx of cultural changes creates weariness in solid Americans who want to see the nation succeed as it has in times past. Laboring over this conundrum always pushes me back to the clearest scriptural teaching about perseverance in prayer and supplication in the entire Bible. Let's see.

The parable of the un-just judge – in a land where real justice is scarce

Everyone knows that America's top lawman, Eric Holder will not prosecute bullies at the polls, black on white crime, gun running to Mexico, Benghazi cover ups, immigration violators, the "not a smidgen of corruption" IRS and just about anything that's actually un-lawful. But alas – he has found something worthy of wielding his prosecutorial and investigative powers on – the cause – a parade float depicting an outhouse as the Obama library.

Obviously, we can't look to our own lawmen from the top down, which would include many federal judges who are Obama appointees and are incapable of making decisions that are not in keeping with the Obama doctrine.

Not to fear, unjust judges notwithstanding, God always hears and will act in due season.

"..There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18: 2-8)

This is the practical side of real Christianity – it is where the rubber meets the road. It is a promise, a mandate, a surety and must be applied if we really expect to see a result.

Plying the practical parable that prevaricators cannot see or understand in 7 steps

1. We don't need to search land and sea to find our land is rife with both lawlessness and unjust use of power. Look around, take your face out of the handheld and the television and see what you are supposed to pray about.

2. We must never cease to knock on the doors of those who have not fallen apostate and call them to take action.

3. We must never cease to knock on the doors of heaven in strong prayer to the judge who is not un-just, but rather is holy.

4. We must believe that God will avenge and judge, as the passage says.

5. We must see the word "speedily" in this passage. Even the most ruthless and Godless ruler of all history (the antichrist) is only allowed a mere seven years to work his worst.

6. We must engage relentlessly in our part, which is prayer and petition – "cry day and night unto him."

7. We must believe that help, intervention, avengement and change are on the way. It is about to enter, spillover and shake the foundations.

This is the "day and night" factor and it is far more powerful than any unjust lawman or president can imagine. Use it!
