Born this way and the alcoholic gene -- the tale of two pathologies

Although there isn't a shred of humor involved, it seems almost comical that modern man has arrived at his days of religious apostasy and bible dismissal just in time to fulfill Luke 16:15, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly exalted among men is detestable in God's sight."

The sin nature the Bible says every man is born with, has been dismissed out of hand and replaced with counseling cures, psychological explanations and of late, blaming eugenics, heredity and those nasty little – bad genes. How convenient. To think, science may find the way to debunk the doctrine of fallen man in this generation. Who needs God's forgiveness if science can justify?

The god of this world (Satan) is not so fussy and could care less what man esteems. He has readily admitted that he gives fame, fortune and power to whomever he wants (Lk 4: 5-6) and until the coming days of the antichrist he would prefer that no one even knows that they are actually influenced, or directly controlled by him. The stage was set years ago, but the last act is about to be played.

This, it seems, is the day to be righteously indignant with a God who calls homosexuality an abomination (Lev 18: 22) and says those who waste their lives on alcohol and drugs will not enter the coming kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:10)

No one now entering the brave new world of complete tolerance and diversity knows how phony their world without religion actually is. In the days ahead they won't just argue with bible believers, but they will completely eliminate them. (Rev 20: 4) Socially acceptable, antichrist sanctioned death by PC, tolerance and diversity will be one of the very last things to occur before Christ returns in power, but it will arrive in its due season.

In the interim it does well to note the almost perfect parallel between the new gay agenda catch phrase 'born this way' and the former attempt of the alcoholic crowd to establish that their weakness for the shine was due to an 'alcoholic gene.'

Every attempt to find the devil gene has failed and even the government gave up trying which was evident when in 1996 millions of those receiving disability benefits were knocked off the Social Security rolls, a ruling that became effective on Jan 1, 1997.

Alcoholism may be the only disease in modern times that was cured (tacitly) by legislation. In fact strictly referring to alcoholism as a disease not only did not pass the governments scrutiny, it long ago was debunked as a disease rather than a common compunction of man to sin against his own body and mind.

If alcohol were actually a disease it would be the only disease in the biblical record that God would put a man in hell for having. This absurdity, would rise to the level of blasphemous when considering that no disease however severe is ever condemned by God who promises that in heaven no one is sick – not so much as a headache!

Then along came the gays with "we are born this way" and of late "God made us this way." In fact God has clearly stated that he did not make them that way, to wit:

"And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?" (Mt 19: 4-5)

None of the excuses to sin have been more openly ridiculous than the 'alcoholic gene' and the 'born this way' justification and no excuse has lent more meaning to the Apostle Paul's declaration that man is the ultimate prevaricator. Paul said, "...let God be true, but every man a liar." (Ro 3: 4)

Just as God would not cast out a sick or diseased person, he would also never refuse a person that, after all, he made that way. But just as drunkards don't enter the kingdom, neither do gays.

"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Co 6: 9-10)

Here we have a perfect case, not of mis-interpretation of scripture, but of pure mis-representation. It is strongly warned against and it for this twisted generation it must be heralded loudly and often. To ignore it would be fatal. To wit:

"As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." (2 Pet 3: 16)

Some say that with proper counseling a gay person can be turned away from homosexuality that has been labeled – junk psychiatry. Others say they can cast the demons out of gays – that has been labeled – junk theology. While I don't agree with either label I can confirm that no scripture is junk. All scripture is God's gold. Regardless of which avenue is chosen to deal with sin, one universal cure has withstood the test of time and it is still simply called – repentance.

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
(2 Pet 3: 9)

It is worthy of note to say that the demons that are plaguing modern man, as well predicted, don't share the ignorance of man. They knew demon influence and enablement for every prurient and perverted penchant of mankind is not junk theology. They also know that the idea that Godly counsel can lead someone away from backward behavior is not junk psychiatry.

The demons also had no trouble identifying exactly who Jesus was, even though they have no intention of worshipping or serving him. The physician Luke, the only doctor among the twelve apostles, stated that the devils not only knew who Christ was but they openly declared it, to wit:

"Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ." (Lk 4: 40-41)

The minions of darkness under the rule of Satan have no confusion about drunkenness or the gay agenda and it is a surety that they don't think it is an aberrant gene that is leading men astray. It almost goes without saying, that if men don't believe God, they are not likely to believe his enemies.

The rebellious' of the last generation will do what man has always done – to their own peril. They will believe only themselves.
