'Activist pledge' drive

America's founders ended the Declaration of Independence with these stirring words of patriotism, sacrifice, and integrity: "And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor" (emphasis added).
In the spirit of the founders' pledge, we at RenewAmerica offer God-fearing citizens the "Pledge for America's Revival." The Pledge is posted at AmericasRevival.com — the activist arm of RenewAmerica.
Please take a look at the Pledge. We think the Pledge says what MOST needs to be said inwardly and outwardly by decent Americans — beginning with acknowledgement of the need to rely on God for His intervention in sparing our nation, rededication to upright living, and wholehearted acceptance of our duties as individual citizens.
We believe every informed, God-fearing American should sign the Pledge! The more people sign it, the more our country will have a chance of survival!
The Pledge is designed to commit and unify those who have the courage to stand forth with other likeminded individuals and save our nation — those who are willing, just like our Founders, to "mutually pledge to each other [their] Lives, [their] Fortunes, and [their] sacred Honor" in preserving America.
The Pledge is also designed to identify leaders in the grassroots, "bottom-up" movement to take back our country!

What you can do —
- Send a personalized e-mail to all those who are interested in reclaiming our country, and invite them to read both the Pledge and the supportive comments at the Signers page at AmericasRevival.com.
Emphasize that signing the Pledge does not obligate the signer to support a particular candidate, political party, or organization. The Pledge is simply a common-sense commitment to help return America to its founding principles, through reliance upon God — much like the pledge the signers of the Declaration of Independence made to each other.
- Hold an informal "cottage meeting" in your home and go through the AmericasRevival.com website with your friends and neighbors. Play a patriotic video or two from the website; listen to the patriotic songs (including the "American Tea Party Anthem" by Lloyd Marcus, who writes a column for RenewAmerica); read the About page; review the Activism page; visit the Discussion Board/organizing page; consider together the kinds of wonderful comments Pledge signers have posted, etc.
Be sure to familiarize yourself with the website beforehand, so you can guide others through it.
After giving your guests a "tour" of the website, you could lead them in a lively discussion of the urgent needs of our seriously-endangered republic — and read with them a few important passages from the Bible, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution.
And don't forget to serve light refreshments!

Download the new Pledge flier at the website and hand it out to your friends and associates — with a word of encouragement for them to visit AmericasRevival.com, sign the Pledge, and get involved in fulfilling their duty as citizens.
Be sure to send an e-mail link to the new flier to everyone you think might be interested.
- Encourage family members to follow your example by signing the Pledge and multiplying your efforts in this God-centered cause.
- Share the Pledge for America's Revival with local church leaders and ask for their help in encouraging their congregation to sign the Pledge and work together to preserve and strengthen our nation.
- Write letters to editors of newspapers and other publications describing the non-partisan, Bible-centered efforts of America's Revival and inviting readers to examine the Pledge and other resources at AmericasRevival.com.
- Call radio talk shows and give out the same information and invitation.
- Be sure to share any news you have about upcoming Tea Parties in your area. You can post dates and locations at the Discussion Board under State Activism. Spread the word!
- Take any other initiative you'd like to further the biblical, constitutional, Declaration-based cause of America's Revival, in ways that suit your time and means.
