NEW YORK POST — The father of would-be Donald Trump assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks was reportedly profiled by the former president’s 2016 campaign — as one neighbor claims the family had MAGA decor in their yard until recently. Matthew Brian Crooks, 53, who legally purchased the AR-15 rifle used in his son’s attack in Butler, Pa., over the weekend, was identified by the Trump campaign as a crucial swing-state voter who was likely to respond favorably to pro-gun messaging, according to data obtained by the UK’s Channel 4 News.... LIFE, LIBERTY, & LEVIN — "This is the biggest scam in American history, a massive cover up." WATCH MARK LEVIN expose Kamala Harris's deceit and deception in her consistently misleading campaign, which is designed to cover up her lack of a meaningful, positive record in the White House during the past three-and-a-half years.... PJ MEDIA — As a spy thriller fan, I love reading about the clever gadgets the good guys use to vanquish the bad guys, which is why I've been fascinated by the story of Hezbollah's deadly exploding pagers. How did Israel pull this off? Was it really Israel who did this? This attack is even more exacting than the exploding bed at the Iranian "safe" house. Now we're learning more details of the attacks, and they're as impressive as they are diabolical. Three thousand beepers exploded this week, killing a bunch of Hezbollah terrorists and some innocents. Iran's ambassador to Lebanon lost an eye in the attack. After that attack, Hezbollah began using walkie-talkies, and they exploded.... (more)

AMERICAN GREATNESS — Chad Aldeman, a leading researcher who focuses on school finance, the teacher labor market, and assessment and accountability policy, recently wrote, “Wrong Ideas about Teacher Pay, Happiness May Keep Students from the Profession.” The essence of the piece is that teachers generally like teaching and stay in the profession for about as long as accountants or social workers stay in theirs. “Teachers may not get rich, but they live comfortably middle-class lives. Plus, teachers get to retire a couple of years earlier than other workers.”... (more)

JERRY NEWCOMBE — I recently saw the movie “Reagan,” starring Dennis Quaid. It features a positive portrayal of our 40th president’s laser-like focus to end the Cold War and the nuclear arms race. Reagan’s philosophy: “We win, they lose.” Critics seem to hate this movie, but regular folks love it. In fact, the movie review website “Rotten Tomatoes” notes this discrepancy. Only 18% of the critics (based on 61 reviews) like the film, while 98% of the movie-going public (based on “5000+ verified ratings”) actually like it.... (more)

BABYLON BEE — In the wake of what appears to be a second assassination attempt on Donald Trump, Democrats across the country have stepped forward to accuse the Republican presidential candidate of inciting further violence by not dying in either of the two previous assassination attempts.... YOUTUBE — Recently, Robert F. Kennedy stepped down from the 2024 Presidential race and openly endorsed the Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump. A few weeks after this decision, he stopped by the RWP set to talk about the importance of his faith in the face of opposition. I was so proud and honored to interview him, not only as an advocate for his work but also as a mother of three.... (more)

BOB UNRUH — President Donald Trump, having survived on Sunday what apparently was a second assassination attempt within just months, is openly blaming the horrific rhetoric unleashed against him, and his fans, by Democrats, specifically Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, for "bullets flying."... (more)

CNN — The FBI is investigating what it said is an apparent assassination attempt on Donald Trump at his Florida golf club Sunday, the second time in two months there’s been an apparent attempt on the former president’s life. Trump is safe and was not harmed in the incident, his campaign said. Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said during a Sunday news conference that his office was informed at 1:30 p.m. ET of shots fired by the Secret Service, when agents fired at a man who had a rifle in the bushes along the perimeter of the Trump International Golf Club.... YOUTUBE — In this stirring tale of patriotism and unexpected turns, small-town singer Shari Wilkins faces crushing disappointment when her dream of performing the National Anthem at a major political rally is abruptly cancelled. Just as all hope seems lost, Donald Trump makes a surprise appearance, challenging the decision to skip the anthem. In a dramatic turn of events, Trump invites Shari to sing, transforming her personal setback into a powerful moment of national unity. The story culminates in a new movement to protect the anthem's place in public events, showcasing how a single act of standing up for one's beliefs can spark widespread change.... (more)

BOB UNRUH — ABC should be prosecuted for an illegal corporate donation to the Kamala Harris campaign for president. TOWNHALL — Donald Trump didn’t clinch a decisive win last night, though he had his chances. That’s what’s so frustrating. Kamala Harris wasn’t good, but also not a total disaster like Joe Biden was in June. She got under Trump’s skin, with the former president taking the bait on rally size and the 2020 election. Trump sounded and looked flustered over these topics, plus January 6 and the weaponization of the Justice Department. The more he spoke less about policy, the more comfortable Kamala became—that’s not good. There were chances to land a haymaker to knock her out, and Trump failed. Instead of demoralizing Democrats, we will now hear about how Kamala shifted the race.... (more)

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON — The public is exhausted after a decade of chronic untruth from the left wing and its media. The 2016 presidential campaign will be long remembered for the false allegation that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to warp the election. Citing the bogus “Steele dossier,” loser Hillary Clinton and other Democrat grandees claimed that the victorious Trump was an “illegitimate” president.... (more)

MISES.ORG — According to the Case-Shiller index, home prices have increased 44 percent since February 2020. That’s just an average, of course, and some markets have seen increases in prices that are far higher. Even in middle-American housing markets, however—where home prices are supposedly more reasonable than on the coasts—prices have soared. In Cleveland, for example, the index is up 40 percent since early 2020. During the same period, the index rose 50 percent in Atlanta and 33 percent in Chicago.... (more)

THE FEDERALIST — A few months ago, a handful of lucky Gen Xers virtually won the lottery when the White House directed the Department of Education to “adjust” their student loan accounts, in some cases down to zero. Joel Lambdin, a 49-year-old string musician from New York City, became a poster child for this one-time forgiveness measure, as Business Insider reported. During his studies and bohemian career, Lambdin had accumulated $250,000 in student debt that remained in forbearance for more than 25 years — until suddenly, one day, a letter from the White House wiped his debt clean....
