BOB UNRUH — There are new details emerging about the conflict that developed when the Los Angeles Dodgers decided to honor the "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence" for their mockery of the Catholic faith, then disinvited them, then restored them to the list of candidates for awards. For instance, the team was told that if it failed to honor the often X-rated drag queens, students could die.... (more)

JUST THE NEWS — Ajudge in Maricopa County denied a motion to enact sanctions against former GOP Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and her legal team. An Arizona judge earlier this week dismissed Lake's challenge of her 2022 gubernatorial election loss against Democrat Katie Hobbs. Lawyers for Maricopa County, the largest county in Arizona, filed a sanctions request after the trial, stating that Lake claiming the 2022 gubernatorial election rigged was “heinous and profoundly harmful.” Judge Peter Thompson ruled Friday that Lake's failure to prove her claims through evidence doesn't mean it was "groundless" and "not made in good faith."... WORLDNETDAILY — A new poll reveals that nearly nine of 10 Democrats responding, 88%, say that gun rights, established in the Constitution's Second Amendment, must be a lower priority than the anti-violence agenda. And the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms warns that's alarming.... (more)

YOUTUBE — Millions of people worldwide have now seen "Jesus Revolution," the movie inspired by the late 1960s and early 70s Jesus Movement. It takes viewers back to the time when thousands of hippies put down their drugs, picked up their Bibles, and followed Jesus. It's also the story of two young people who met, fell in love, and became pioneers of the Jesus Movement. That couple, Greg and Cathe Laurie, who celebrate 50 years of marriage next year, never dreamed that part of their life would one day be featured on the big screen.... (more)

DAILY SIGNAL — President Joe Biden has yet to weigh in on the outrage over the Los Angeles Dodgers inviting an anti-Catholic group of queer and transgender “nuns” to its Pride Night events. The drag performers call themselves “The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” and describe their group as “a leading-edge order of queer and trans nuns.” Though the group claims that it is not anti-Catholic, the tagline on its website states: “Go forth and sin some more,” apparently mocking Jesus Christ’s words to a biblical woman caught in adultery.... JUST THE NEWS — Retail giant Target has lost billions in market value amid public outcry over its offering of LGBTQ-themed clothing for children. Company market cap amounted to $74.3 billion as of last Wednesday, according to the New York Post. But by the end of trading on Thursday, that figure stood at 64.96 billion, meaning Target lost more than $9 billion in value in slightly over a week.... (more)

PJ MEDIA — The Biden regime’s staggeringly corrupt FBI has spies in Catholic Churches to hunt for “domestic terrorism,” and now it has come to light that aiding it in the dirty work of framing pro-life Catholics as dangerous “extremists” is none other than the massively discredited Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which uses its immense war chest to stigmatize and demonize legitimate groups on the Right by lumping them in with the likes of the KKK and neo-Nazis. For a wealthy and unscrupulous private organization to do that is one thing, but for the feds to endorse it and partner with that organization is quite another.... (more)

JULIE KELLY — Matthew Graves wasted no time doing the political dirty work of the man who appointed him to serve as the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia: Joe Biden. The Biden regime, Attorney General Merrick Garland in particular, faced heat in late 2021 for failing to bring harsher charges against Americans who protested Biden’s election on January 6. Garland was on the defensive for seeking mostly misdemeanor charges, giving the Right ammunition to mock the media’s description of the four-hour disturbance as an “insurrection.”... (more)

PETER LABARBERA — One day after the airing of a sympathetic CBS "60 Minutes" interview with controversial, videotaped, alleged Jan. 6 instigator Ray Epps — in which Epps played the victim and sought to shift blame for J6 violence to Tucker Carlson — the most popular host on Fox News was ousted by the network. In the "60 Minutes" interview Sunday, Epps claimed Carlson is "obsessed with me," and said, "He's going to any means possible" to destroy his life to "shift blame [for J6] on somebody else."... TWITCHY — Okay everyone, time for a math problem. Let’s say that a woman owes approximately $15,000 to the government for back taxes and penalties. So, the government seizes her home to pay for that and sells that home for approximately $40,000. Approximately, how much does the government owe the original homeowner? If you said ‘nothing,’ you would apparently be the state of Minnesota.... (more)

BOB UNRUH — Elections have consequences. So, apparently, do lies. Because U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., has proposed a resolution in the U.S. House that would fine Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., $16 million "for his claims that former President Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election." Those claims maintained by Schiff during interviews for years – he claimed to have seen the evidence – now are all known to be lies, as the report from Special Counsel John Durham confirmed that the Russiagate scandal was based on no evidence. In fact, it was a scheme cooked up by the Hillary Clinton campaign to distract voters from her own scandal at the time – her decision as U.S. secretary of state to put America's classified secrets on a personal, and unsecured, server. Schiff likely was the most ardent and dedicated purveyor of the false claims that Trump was linked to Russia, repeatedly getting on network television to make the false statements.... (more)

TOWNHALL — As Townhall has been covering, the White House is absolutely desperate when it comes to their handling of the debt ceiling negotiations, especially in recent days with the clock ticking. Meanwhile, Republicans are urging one another when it comes to "holding the line" and creating a "unified" message as Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) has done in a memo issued Wednesday morning to House Republican colleagues. Roy, a member of the House Freedom Caucus, provided instrumental support in getting the Limit, Save, Grow Act passed in the House last month.... (more)

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON — The Left is waging a full-fledged cultural revolution against traditional America. And the Maoist results are often as absurd as they are terrifying. Special-counsel John Durham just issued his final report on wrongdoing within the FBI, CIA, and the Department of Justice. The summary confirms that our premier investigatory and intelligence agencies interfered in the 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns.... (more)

PJ MEDIA — Move over, Pierre Delecto. You have some competition for your spot in the U.S. Senate. Riverton, Utah, Mayor Trent Staggs has announced that he is challenging Mitt Romney in the upcoming election. His announcement via Twitter started off as the standard-issue GOP candidate fare, but Staggs quickly went after Mitt for the things most Utah Republicans have been thinking, and for that matter, saying.... TOWNHALL — A male-bodied transgender cyclist who won a race against females stood alone on the winners’ podium after the event after female athletes refused to pose on the winners’ podium and be photographed with him. According to the New York Post, the athlete, Lesley Mumford, transitioned to live as a woman in 2017. This month, Mumford won a “grueling” gravel race at the 100-mile Desert Gravel Co2UT and competed against women.... (more)

NEW YORK POST — Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch slammed America’s pandemic response as one of “the greatest intrusions on civil liberties in the peacetime history of this country.” Gorsuch’s scorching take came as the U.S. Supreme Court rejected an appeal seeking to preserve Title 42, the pandemic-era public health measure implemented by President Trump that allowed the U.S. to quickly expel certain asylum seekers.... ROBERT SPENCER — Old Joe Biden said it again last Sunday: “The most dangerous terrorist threat to our homeland is white supremacy.” Old Joe has told this particular whopper before, as has Gestapo chief Merrick Garland and the FBI. Yet actual white supremacist terrorists in any significant numbers have been notably lacking. But you’ll be relieved to know, however, that our nation’s intrepid G-men are on the case: an FBI whistleblower testified before Congress Thursday that the bureau had actually fudged data in order to make domestic terrorism related to the Jan. 6 fake “insurrection” look much bigger than it really is.... PETER LABARBERA — A recent encounter between an up-and-coming conservative women's advocate and a rising "progressive" congressional star shows Democrat politicians simply aren't used to the idea of actually having to debate the "trans" agenda and the real-world effect it is having in society. Riley Gaines, former elite collegiate swimmer turned women's advocate battling the "trans" takeover of female sports, explained in a recent interview how she tried to confront Rep. Katie Porter, California Democrat, after Porter maligned her in an appearance April 14 on Bill Maher's HBO show "Real Time with Bill Maher."... (more)

BOB UNRUH — A new plan from the Biden administration to update guidance regarding prayer in public schools means a crackdown on that activity, suggests a new report from Decision Magazine. In fact, a lawyer for the ADF, which has fought multiple court cases regarding student speech in schools, warned the new Biden plan appears to be "suggesting that schools have to purge religious messages from any student speech if the school in any way controls the student’s speech."... PETER LEMISKA — If nothing else, leftist propaganda can be fiendishly clever. Using selected facts and distorting them to suit their needs, those on the left are working hard to brand loving and courageous parents as radical enemies of free speech. Their disgusting claim that parents, and conservatives in general, are out to ban books is a transparent attempt to equate them to the fascists of 1933 Germany and the burning of all books designated as anti-government. Those books included works by Ernest Hemingway, Jack London, and Helen Keller. Today, the left would have us believe that there’s no difference between those works and the pornographic material being thrust on young students across the country.... (more)

JERRY NEWCOMBE — An interesting event occurred last month without receiving much attention. An Arizona state representative was caught on video swiping Bibles in a House-members only lounge and hiding them, presumably so that others could not read them. A local TV reporter approached her and asked her why she had been taking the Bibles. But she walked away with no response. She did this on more than one occasion, hiding the scriptures under seats and in a refrigerator. An irony to this story is that the thieving legislator is supposedly an ordained Presbyterian minister—obviously a very liberal branch of Presbyterians.... (more)
