Trump delivered his Inaugural Address in the Capitol Rotunda before a large audience of guests and public officials and stressed that his presidency would focus on ushering in a “Golden Age of America.” After noting that America's education system leads young people to "hate our country," he summed up his goal in these words: “My recent election is a mandate to completely and totally reverse a horrible betrayal” and to give Americans back "their faith, their wealth, their democracy, and indeed their freedom" (5:30). He added that he believed that God preserved his life so he might "make America great again," and he listed about a dozen actions he will immediately take to do so, beginning with abolishing government interference with the right of free speech and ending government schemes to impose unAmerican values on the nation through “social engineering.” He stressed that his administration will officially recognize the existence of only two genders—male and female.
