OLIVER NORTH & DAVID GOETSCH — For many Americans, this Christmas season is turning out to be too much like last year's. A new strain of COVID-19 is now forcing families and friends to forgo the fellowship so much a part of this holiday season. Headlines such as "National Guard called to alleviate shortages of hospital workers ..." are causing canceled celebrations. The pandemic isn't the only problem. There's also rampant inflation, supply-chain shortages, stock market gyrations, new vaccine mandates, riots, arson, mass shootings, smash-and-grab robberies, political dissent, attacks on traditional values and serious threats from Russia, Iran, North Korea and Communist China.... REV. MARK H. CREECH — Christmas and New Year celebrations pose, for many, a significant risk for problematic drinking. The results can be disastrous. Alcohol is intertwined with so many of our holiday activities. There can be steady nudges from loved ones and friends not only to drink, but to drink more. It's not always easy to say "no." Moreover, the emotional factors, the stresses of the season, and the holiday blues turn into temptations to drink excessively.... (more)

Says too expensive, goes too far
YOUTUBE — Setting off a war of words between the White House and himself, West Virginia's Sen. Joe Manchin told Fox News' Bret Baier that he will not be supporting Biden's social and climate bill known as "Build Back Better." Baier responded, to clarify, "You're done – this is a no." "This is a no," affirmed Manchin. His apparent reversal caused White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki to accuse him of not being "true to his word." But Manchin decided the bill is not only too expensive, but goes too far. He said he was concerned he wouldn't be able to explain to constituents why he would support such a bill. The Congressional Budget Office, it should be noted, said the actual cost would be almost 5 trillion dollars, not the 1.75 trillion publicly claimed by Biden.... (more)

ART MOORE — A new release of emails shows outgoing National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins asked White House coronavirus adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci to carry out a "quick and devastating published takedown" of the Great Barrington Declaration. Magness.... (more)

An op-ed by Drs. Harvey Risch, Robert W. Malone, and Byram Bridle
THE FEDERALIST — The attacks on free speech and science are unrelenting. Academic publisher Elsevier's suppression of an article documenting the myocarditis risk of the COVID-19 vaccines, with no excuse or pretext offered, is incredible enough. Viewed alongside Twitter's censorship of the American Heart Association, YouTube's suppression of a panel discussion of vaccine mandates on Capitol Hill, and the Orwellian call by National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins for critics of the government's COVID-19 policies to be "brought to justice," the trend is positively chilling....
