JOAN SWIRSKY — On Christmas Eve in 2009, 60 Senate Democrats cast their final votes to approve Obamacare, which was finally voted on again by the House and enacted into law on March 23, 2010. It was only two months into Barack Obama's first term when they magically produced the exhaustively detailed, 2,300-page bill that became law. But it turns out it wasn't magic.... (more)

JERRY NEWCOMBE — America needs Jesus. No greater reminder of that fact can be seen than the recent protests in the streets of the nation. The anger against what happened to George Floyd in Minneapolis last week is justified. The violence and looting that came in the wake of protests is not.... (more)

REV. MARK H. CREECH — The Facebook posts that ran across my thread said, "Anyone feeling like we're back in the 60s again?" I was just a boy during the sixties, but I remember those days quite well. One night, my parents had sent me to bed early. My bedroom door was still open, and so I could hear what was on the television in the den. The evening news was about the race riots in the streets, buildings burning, people screaming at one another in anger, gunshots, and death.... (more)

MICHELLE MALKIN — Dear law-abiding Americans: You have done nothing wrong. Being white is not a crime. Being a Trump voter is not a crime. Being a police officer sworn to "protect and serve" every day is not a crime. Being a non-white police officer proud to uphold and enforce law and order is not a crime. Being a black or brown or yellow American who rejects excusing criminal behavior is not a crime.... (more)

STEVE A. STONE — We woke up this morning to a nation on fire. Not the whole nation, by far, but enough to fill our TV screens for hours on end. Our TV screens are showing us what a crisis looks like when it doesn't go to waste. You and I know that's what this is, don't we? The protests began in Minneapolis over the death of George Floyd, and perhaps that was merited and rightfully expected. But in very short order, protest devolved into riot, with the commensurate general chaos, property destruction, and looting. What started out as a protest against the televised death of a black man under the knee of a white police officer is now an out-of-control, general, and nationwide riot.... (more)

LLOYD MARCUS — 99.9% of our American family is saddened and outraged over the wrongful death of George Floyd. We want the responsible police officer prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. And yet, rather than bringing our nation together, fake news media and Democrats are excitedly throwing gasoline on the flames of racial hate and division. Their message is America is still a hellhole of racism in which blacks are routinely murdered by whites and police. Blacks must continue voting for Democrats to keep racist white America at bay.... CLIFF KINCAID — As patriotic Americans salute our astronauts, in space through a public-private partnership of NASA and SpaceX, we are dismayed by the seeming inability of the government at all levels to keep our citizens safe on the ground. NYT video designed to control viewers’ response—not merely document events; implicitly condones calculated violence
YOUTUBE — The New York Times has published a video that vividly reconstructs the death of George Floyd on May 25. Using several sources – including security footage, witness videos, and official documents – the video shows how a series of callous actions by officers resulted in Floyd's tragic death. The manner in which the video was produced, however, goes beyond documenting the event and appears designed to fan the flames of lawless rioting by criminals who are exploiting the brutal tragedy....
