NATIONAL REVIEW — The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled for the Trump administration Friday in a case concerning the withholding of federal funds for local policing from so-called sanctuary cities. A three-judge panel of the court ruled 2--1 that the Justice Department could deny Community Oriented Policing Services grants to cities and states that have "sanctuary" policies prohibiting law-enforcement cooperation with federal immigration authorities.... DAILY CALLER — The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court for clearance to begin constructing 100 miles of fencing through drug-smuggling corridors along the U.S.-Mexico border. The Friday request comes after U.S. District Judge Haywood Gilliam forbade the administration from using $2.5 billion in military funds for border wall construction. NATIONAL REVIEW — The British ambassador to the U.S. stepped down Wednesday amid controversy over leaked cables in which he harshly criticized the Trump administration. Sir Kim Darroch became the object of heavy criticism from the president over the weekend after the leak of private messages to Parliament in which he calls the administration "unpredictable," "inept," and "uniquely dysfunctional," and the president himself "insecure."
